"Hey, did you find the clothes I left in the dresser?"

Ricardo walks into my room awkwardly.

"Yes, thank you." I motion for him to come sit beside me.

"Since you're here, i'd like to discuss my job. When will I be introduced to the rest of the members, is there any kind of task I have to complete to gain they-"

"Whoa, little mami, chill. The boys already know about you. You'll meet them tomorrow and as far as I know, you'll have an opportunity to do your job when our annual meeting comes up."

"Hm, annual meeting? Explain."

"The boss will take his most trusted man, which is me, and a date. You'll somehow have to get with him,"

He stands up and looks me up and down.

"And by the looks of it, he should go right for you."

"I'm sorry, I don't understand."

He laughs at me.

"What? Do you not know how to seduce a man?"

"No. I'm not some kind of prostitute. I'm a trained bounty hunter."

He snickers,

"You know Zero, you've gotta loosen up a bit. You'll never make it here with that stick up your fat ass."

He remark makes me feel angry. I swipe my leg and he falls on his butt. I get in his face and glare at him.

"Don't be rude, Ricardo. I'm not uptight, I just know what I want."

He looks up at me and licks his lips,

"Careful Zero,"

He touches my hair.

"You get too close to me and I might bite."

He stands up and walks towards the door, but before he leaves he turns around to say something.

"And just call me Ricky."

"Wait!"

He looks at me.

"Does that make you my partner?"

"Yeah mami, i'll come back to get you in the morning, okay?"

I nod,

"Okay. Good night Ricky."

"Night, Zero."

I look around my room. It's far larger than mine back home. There's a t.v. hanging over my dresser. It's has no color scheme. It's kinda nice though.

"Earlier today when I was changing, why did he look at me like that? And why did my heart feel like that?!"

I pace around my room talking to myself until my legs hurt.

I flop down on my large bed and look up.

"This is my new home for the next few months."

I close my eyes and before I know it, I drift off to sleep.
