Hogwarts: Don't call me the Staff Maker
Chapter 743 Plan
Chapter 743 Plan
Saint Cachipol village, humble dwelling.
The Ministry of Magic had been unusually busy lately, and it wasn't until it was completely dark that Arthur Weasley finally returned home, exhausted.
The door to the Burrow was closed, but orange light shone through the cracks in the door and through every window, like a crooked lighthouse.
The lights seemed to have some kind of magic; as soon as they fell on Mr. Weasley, they dispelled most of his fatigue.
He pushed open the door, and the small living room was full of people—ever since this place was used as the new headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix, the living room has always been crowded.
"Arthur." Mad-Eye Moody, sitting opposite, looked up, his normal eyes and his blue demonic eye both looking at Mr. Weasley.
"So, did he say it?"
"Just as you planned." Mr. Weasley walked into the room and sat down. "Dalis has already informed the Death Eaters that we're going to pick up Harry on the 30th."
At that moment, Mrs. Weasley brought in a cup of hot chocolate and placed it on the table.
"Oh, thank you, Molly, that's exactly what I needed," Mr. Weasley said with a smile. "But could you please bring me that bottle of Flaming Whisky?"
"Hot chocolate with whiskey? Arthur, are you sure that would taste good?"
"Adding just a little bit is fine."
"Oh well."
"But Alastor—" Mr. Weasley put the hot chocolate aside for the moment and said to Mad-Eye again, "Do you think the Death Eaters and Mystic will believe him?"
"What?"
"What I mean is, everyone in the ministry knows that his unstable stance is notorious."
"I've heard of that too." Bill Weasley, the eldest son of the Weasleys, came downstairs.
"If tomorrow's newspapers reported that the most indecisive Auror had joined the Death Eaters, I don't think many people would be surprised."
"No, Dexter wouldn't join the Death Eaters." Mad-Eye Moody smirked. "Unless Harry Potter is also killed, and he's 100 percent certain that Vader will win, he won't do so."
"Of course, if given the chance, he would definitely casually reveal some insignificant information, just to pave the way for that day to arrive."
"But if that's the case, can we still trust him?" Mrs. Weasley frowned, holding her whiskey. "What if Voldemort guesses we won't be picking up Harry on the 30th?"
"That's exactly what we wanted to see." Moody's blue magic eye swept around. "Everyone knows that Dexter's position is unstable, so he has no reason to deceive Mystic, right?"
"Arthur, do you know who Dexter told this news to?" Sirius asked.
"An ordinary employee of the Department of Magical Disasters," Mr. Weasley thought carefully. "I think his name was Caleb Rhodes?"
“Ah, Rhodes of Ravenclaw,” Fred said immediately. “He graduated in the same year as us.”
"You two know each other?" Moody asked.
"I guess so," George said. "Rhodes used to be one of the Quidditch hitters."

"But because of his poor performance, he was fired after only one season."
"So, do you think it's possible for him to join the Death Eaters?"
"I don't know," Fred shrugged. "But I don't think Death Eaters need a stupid companion—and frankly, he doesn't look like a Ravenclaw at all."
"That's the Imperius Curse. They do it all the time." Moody made the decision immediately, seemingly not caring whether the person who revealed the information was actually a Death Eater.
"Brorick Bode of the Department of Magical Disasters was once attacked by Death Eaters, but luckily escaped unharmed," Moody muttered to himself. "And the one who attacked him was Yaxley, one of the Death Eaters most trusted by Mystic, and a very powerful one."
"So you mean that Axe used the Imperius Curse to control Brorick Bald, and then used the same method to control Rhodes?"
"I can't imagine the Yaxley attack failing," Moody said.
"But that's a good thing too," Bill said thoughtfully. "Yaxley is different from Lucius and Bellatrix; he hasn't made any major mistakes and is still trusted by Mystic."
"Don't say that." Mr. Weasley shook his head gravely. "Mystic never trusts anyone easily, not even Death Eaters."
"You don't need to completely trust him; it's enough if he hesitates a little," Moody said.
"I don't think he'd ever expect that we'd pick up Harry two days early," Fred said with a laugh.
"I think you could speak a little louder." Moody's blue, magical eye suddenly fixed on Fred, and he said expressionlessly, "It would be best if everyone in the entire St. Catchpol heard that we're going to take action tomorrow."
"Don't do that, my voice isn't loud. Besides, the Burrow has protective magic; even if a Death Eater pressed their ear to the window, they wouldn't hear us."
"You'd better not think that way."
This time, Fred didn't say anything more, but simply kept his mouth tightly shut and made a zipping motion with his fingers, indicating that he wouldn't say anything more. Only then did Moody let him go.
"Now, we need to discuss the specific details and route again to ensure this operation goes perfectly!"
"Wait a minute," Bill suddenly said, glancing around the room. "Where's Kingsley Shackleton? He's the Auror's Chief of Staff, isn't he involved in the operation?"
"He needs to protect the Muggle minister—oh wait, what's that word again?"
"Prime Minister," Mr. Weasley reminded him.
“That’s right, that’s it,” Moody said. “Some analysts believe that the Void might throw Britain into chaos by killing a Muggle prime minister—after all, he’s done that before, killing two ministers of magic.”
"And it's not just Kingsley, none of the Aurors will participate in tomorrow's operation. Only the group of us will participate, understand?"
"Okay, I understand now." Bill nodded.
"And, the two Weasleys."
At this moment, Moody looked at Fred and George, who were trying their best to keep their mouths shut.
"Don't forget the arrangement of Diagon Alley; that's also important."
"Don't worry, we left Xiren a two-way parchment." Fred gestured to his mouth with his finger and then took a quill from his pocket and waved it around.
"Whatever the plan."
"If there are any unexpected changes, we can inform him immediately."
"Very good." Moody nodded. "No changes, stick to the original plan, Dedalow—"
For the people living in the humble abode, tonight is destined to be a sleepless night.
