Chapter 82 Human Flesh Rubik's Cube

Some people immediately knelt down and shouted "God" to Rune. In their eyes, only God could catch so many bullets so easily; only God could mercifully forgive their sins of offending Him.

However, Rune ignored them and instead lifted the officer with one hand, carrying him high into the air. As he was being lifted into the air, the officer's rifle fell to the ground.

He stood there dumbfounded for a long while before finally realizing his predicament. Fear overwhelmed him like a tidal wave. His face instantly turned deathly pale, losing its usual gloom and composure, replaced by a terrified pallor. His body trembled violently, as if struck by an invisible electric current, his breathing became rapid and erratic, and a low, intermittent gasp escaped his throat.

The officer's teeth chattered. He tried to speak, but the words caught in his throat, and he could only utter indistinct murmurs, as if he were praying for something, or perhaps pleading for something.

This intense fear made Rune's soul-stealing technique proceed exceptionally smoothly. He saw the officer's superior, a colonel named Karl. Of course, this was only a nominal superior. This officer was actually a relative; his father was a lieutenant general, which was already a very high rank.

To put it another way, General Ross, who later became President of the United States in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was once a lieutenant general. Aside from the rank of general granted during wartime or under special circumstances, only a lieutenant general holds a commanding position. Therefore, this officer was very knowledgeable about wizards, and Rune saw many inhumane experiments in his mind.

How to put it? Aside from making Rune decide to make these inhuman scum die even more miserably, there was nothing else he could think of.

Rune originally intended to throw the beast to its death, but he changed his mind in the end.

"Do you want to live or die?" Rune asked. A strong wind whipped Rune's and the officer's hair.

The officer's desperate face was now filled with a complex expression of disbelief and ecstasy. He spoke with difficulty, his voice broken and intermittent due to overwhelming excitement and fear: "Please...please give me a chance...I...I was wrong...I was really wrong..."

Rune nodded, granting his request. A massive amount of magical power flowed from his body as he cast a dangerous spell—human transformation. This was the first time Rune had used this type of magic. This advanced transformation spell could directly transform the human body; it was extremely dangerous and complex, and if a mistake was made, the person being transformed could never be changed back.

This dangerous magic once created a well-known XXXXX-level magical creature: the Five-Legged Monster. This carnivorous creature is covered in thick reddish-brown fur, has five legs, each ending in a deformed foot, and is particularly fond of eating humans, making it extremely dangerous.

Rune certainly wasn't trying to create a new magical creature; he simply felt that letting the guy fall to his death was too merciful.

An immense magical force pressed down on the officer, instantly giving him an indescribable sense of oppression. It was as if the entire world was collapsing towards him, a tremendous weight coming from all directions, pinning him to the spot, rendering him unable to move. His body was compressed tightly, every muscle bearing immense pressure, as if it would be crushed at any moment.

His body gradually shrank, his ribs beginning to constrict his lungs. His breathing became rapid and labored, each inhale feeling like a battle against the entire world. His lungs were compressed to the point of barely expanding, as if air was being relentlessly deprived, leaving him feeling suffocated. He could hear his own rapid panting, the sound echoing in his ears, a constant reminder of the fragility of life.

The pressure continued, and his body began to curl up and contort rapidly. At that moment, his clothes slipped easily off his skin.

His mind was a complete mess, his thoughts a jumbled tangled mess. Fear, despair, pain… a mix of emotions overwhelmed him, making it almost impossible to think. He could only feel the oppressive pressure on his body; time seemed to freeze, each second stretching endlessly. He didn't know how much longer he could endure it, only hoping this terrifying pressure would end soon.

Thankfully, it was all finally over. The officer seemed to wake from a nightmare, all the tension in his body vanishing instantly. He felt an indescribable sense of relief and liberation, as if the whole world had become lighter. He took a deep breath, greedily inhaling the fresh air into his lungs, savoring the long-lost feeling of breathing freely.

However, when he tried to open his eyes again, he was horrified to find that Rune's handsome face was enormous. He tried to feel his limbs again and tried to stand up, but he failed.

He could only feel his mouth, so he shouted, "What did you do to me?"

Rune simply smiled, then continued to pour in magic. This time, even his mouth, ears, and eyes disappeared. What remained in his hands could no longer be called human; perhaps one word could describe him—a human cube. Under Rune's powerful magic, a tall officer was transformed into a tiny cube that could barely be held in one's hand.

What's most terrifying is that, due to Rune's intervention, this human cube will possess powerful physical and magical resistance. However, he didn't remove the officer's pain receptors; in fact, due to Rune's condensation, the density of pain receptors in this human cube is quite high.

Furthermore, given the scale of runes' magic, the officer's only chance to revert to his original human form is to travel to Marvel or DC. Given his inability to walk, see, or speak, he would need to find a powerful being of Dormammu's, Vishanti's, or Lucifer Morningstar's caliber and offer them an irresistible condition to transform him back.

"I'm not usually this cruel," Rune sighed, "but your actions really make me feel that even this end is too lenient for you. Don't worry, your father will soon follow in your footsteps."

With that, he returned to the ground.

"You can go back now," Rune said calmly. The magic that had almost materialized also affected the air around him; a layer of transparent ripples seemed to swirl around his body, blurring the soldiers' vision. This strange phenomenon undoubtedly made the soldiers even more respectful.

They increasingly felt that this boy was the legendary messiah who would bring salvation to the world.
