Chapter 26 Tsunade Aspires to Become a Medical Ninja

Thousand Hands Clan Land

Tsuna held a thick book in his hands, reading it diligently. The cover of the book featured a diagram of human anatomy; it was a medical book treasured by the Senju family.

In Konoha today, blood-stained powerful families monopolize the village's knowledge, and ordinary civilian ninjas who graduate from the Ninja Academy only have the three essential ninja tools.

Transformation technique, clone technique, substitution technique.

For ordinary people who want to learn other ninjutsu, there are only a few channels.

He sold himself to the Bloodstained Clan, earning merits on the battlefield to exchange for ninjutsu.

If you're lucky, a Jonin with your guidance might teach you a move or two, but such cases are extremely rare.

Almost all of Konoha's Jonin come from ninja clans, and these clans have rules against passing on their ninjutsu to outsiders. Of course, they can create their own ninjutsu as they please.

Knowledge related to medical ninjutsu is naturally extremely valuable, and only large ninja families are qualified to possess it.

Mito Uzumaki sat on the threshold of the room, basking in the sun. The sunlight warmed her, and as people get older, they like to bask in the sun. She was nearly fifty years old, which was considered a long life in a world where ninjas generally had short lifespans.

Seeing Tsunade recover from her grief so quickly, Mito Uzumaki was genuinely happy. She truly was her granddaughter.

Although I don't know why Tsunade suddenly started learning medical ninjutsu, she clearly had no interest in these things before.

The Senju and Uzumaki clans are born with enormous chakra reserves and are said to have inherited Yang Release from the Sage of Six Paths. They are naturally suited to learning medical ninjutsu, and therefore, these two clans have the most books on medical ninjutsu.

Mito Uzumaki was well-versed in this, and when Tsunade was young, he even planned to teach her a few techniques. Unfortunately, Tsunade wasn't interested and preferred to learn powerful ninjutsu.

Now she's changed her ways and started learning about medical ninjutsu, contrary to her usual behavior. Mito Uzumaki didn't care about the reasons behind it; as long as her precious granddaughter was happy, that was all that mattered.

If Tsunade studies diligently, Mito Uzumaki is confident that he can train her to become the most powerful medical ninja in the ninja world.

Looking at the dense text in the book, with its many obscure and difficult technical terms, Tsunade was completely baffled, making her want to tear the precious book in front of her to shreds.

It seems we've run into trouble.

Mito Uzumaki sat there basking in the sun while observing Tsunade's expression.

Tsunade is almost at the Crimson Tempest level, so she can't just stay there sunbathing.

"Tsunade, you're in trouble, aren't you?"

Mito Uzumaki stood up, walked to Tsunade's side, and looked at the page. This page was about Yang Release and also involved the structure of the human body. It was beyond Tsunade's current knowledge.

"Grandma, there are so many terms here that I've never seen before. And what's chakra here?"

Asking questions when you don't understand is a good habit.

Tsunade understood this perfectly. Her grandmother, Mito Uzumaki, was very skilled in medical ninjutsu. With a professional by her side, she naturally wanted to get to the bottom of things.

"The so-called Yang Dun (阳遁)."

"."

Mito Uzumaki patiently instructed Tsunade, guiding her step by step. When she reached a crucial point, she paused deliberately to see if Tsunade could figure out the key to the problem with her prompting.

The future Tsunade will be the number one medical ninja in the ninja world. Her talent in medical ninjutsu is beyond doubt. She did not disappoint Mito Uzumaki's expectations and answered the question naturally. She can even apply what she learned to other situations.

This greatly pleased Mito Uzumaki, who knew that her medical ninjutsu had a successor.

"I must become the strongest medical ninja in Konoha."

Having just grasped the concept, Tsunade immediately regained her confidence and began to "talk big," which suddenly piqued Mito's curiosity again. Tsunade's original goal was to become Konoha's first female Hokage.

"Tsunade, tell Grandma, how did you become interested in medical ninjutsu?"

Tsunade's smile froze for a moment, a hint of sadness flashing across her face, but she still managed to smile.

"Grandma, when I was on a mission at the hospital in Konoha, I saw a lot of wounded soldiers who had been brought back from the front lines. Everyone looked like they were in pain, and some of them even died from their injuries."

"If I were a good medical ninja, I could definitely save them."

"Maybe if I were better at medical ninjutsu, I could have helped him heal if I followed my second grandfather and he was injured. Maybe he wouldn't have died."

Tsunade's naive words broke Mito Uzumaki's heart. Having never been on the battlefield, Tsunade did not understand its cruelty. The opponent who could keep Tobirama alive was not someone that could be reversed by an excellent medical ninja.

Tsunade's words suddenly made the atmosphere somewhat sad, and Mito Uzumaki quickly changed the subject, continuing to explain medical knowledge to Tsunade.

Outside the gates of the Senju clan's territory, Senju Momoma was in a hurry to go home and see Uzumaki Mito as soon as he returned to Konoha.

The doors that were always open were now unusually closed, adding to the gloom in Senju Momoma's already uneasy mood.

"Open the door!"

Senju Momoma pounded on the door, and a head peeked out from the slit. Upon recognizing Senju Momoma, the head immediately opened the door.

"The young clan leader is back."

"What's going on? Why is the door closed in broad daylight?"

The reason for closing the door was, of course, to avoid the families who came to gather information.

The young clan leader probably doesn't know yet that clan leader Tobirama Senju has died in battle. It's best not to say anything more about this; let Lady Mito tell her herself.

The Senju clansman in charge of guarding the gate said:

"This is Lady Mito's order. Lady Mito is still waiting for you inside."

These words were enough to brush off Senju Momoma.

Senju Momoma nodded and quickly walked towards Uzumaki Mito's room, where she soon met Uzumaki Mito.

"Mother, I'm back."

Upon hearing the sound, Mito Uzumaki looked towards Momoma Senju outside the room and quickly went outside.

"Good boy, you've gotten strong and tanned."

Mito Uzumaki sized up Momoma Senju. The once somewhat immature Momoma had grown into a man capable of standing on his own after being tempered on the battlefield.

"Tsunade is here too. Has she been causing any trouble in the village lately? Has she been secretly gambling behind Grandma's back again?"

"No, I didn't!"

Tsunade rushed into Momoma Senju's arms; she hadn't seen her father in a long time.

"Mother, why did you call me back so urgently? Has something happened in the village?"

"Come with me."

A look of sadness flashed across Mito Uzumaki's face as she prepared to pull Momoma Senju into another room to discuss matters.

"Second Uncle, where's Tobirama? I haven't seen him in ages. Is he still in the Hokage's office?"

Momokazu Senju casually asked a question that Tsunade, who was in his arms, heard. Tsunade, who was still very emotional, immediately broke down and tears streamed down her face.

"Second Grandfather, he... he's dead!!"

"Waaaaah!!!"

Mito Uzumaki looked at her son with a sorrowful expression. She had changed rooms specifically because she didn't want Tsunade to recall painful memories.

Now look what's happened, I have to coax her again.
