Chapter 41 Martha—!

Harley Quinn is flanked by Selena Gomez (Catwoman) on her left and Ivy Sylvia Chang (Poison Ivy) on her right.

Lying in bed, the three women weren't wearing many clothes, and Ivy, the "Poison Ivy," had even left her black trench coat in the living room.

Thus, her hot figure, which was covered by plants and leaves, was exposed.

Harley Quinn, a woman who had fought on this bed several times, took off her vest and sports bra, freeing herself from her constraints.

"Catwoman" Selena glanced at them and hesitated before removing her bodysuit.

Harley Quinn and Selena exchanged a glance, their gazes simultaneously shifting downwards. After a silent comparison in their minds, they both turned their attention to "Poison Ivy" Ivy.

They didn't speak, but their eyes both revealed the same question: We are all large, so why are you extra large?

Connors drove to Wayne Tower, the tallest building in Gotham, parked his car on the side of the road, and took the elevator directly to the top floor.

The top five floors require authorization to reach by elevator, but for Connors, who possesses the skills of a master lock-picker, cracking this "lock" is effortless.

The top floor is three or four hundred meters above the ground, and the wind is quite strong there, but thanks to his physical abilities that push the limits of human capabilities, Connors' steps did not falter.

He wasn't going to convince Batman to cooperate with him in entering Arkham Asylum by just talking—mainly because he had no confidence in persuading him at all.

He had other plans when he came to the roof of the Wayne Tower.

Amidst the sound of the wind, Connors clasped his hands together, placed them near his mouth, and opened his mouth:

"After a few minutes, seeing that the figure in the red cape hadn't appeared, Connors tried a different approach:"

"Martha—"

It wasn't raining in Gotham today, and the huge moon was shrouded in layers of dark clouds.

Less than half a minute after Connors' second call, the dark clouds were dispersed, and the moonlight shone on the red and blue figure flying in the air, making it appear divine.

The Superman in this world has a very rugged appearance, with muscles that make his suit bulge high, and his red cape fluttering in the strong winds at high altitude.

Floating in the air, Superman has a huge, bright moon behind him, and his face, facing Connors, is expressionless in the shadows.

Even after seeing this god-like figure in countless films and television dramas, Connors couldn't help but exclaim:

"So cool—..—"

After hovering in the air for a few seconds and looking at Connors, Superman, accompanied by a gust of wind, landed next to Connors with a muffled thud.

"Who are you? What do you want?"

"You're a little slow. Did you go to the farm back home first to make sure Mom was safe before you came?" Connors said. "I mean no harm, I just wanted to ask you for a favor."

"Superman" Clark did not speak.

"Your suit—it came from the pioneer ship of Krypton, right?" Connors decided to confirm his suspicions first.

"You know Krypton?" Clark seemed to be getting increasingly agitated, and couldn't help but take two steps closer to Connors. "What else do you know?"

"You answer yes or no first."

"Yes."

"When that pioneer ship started, it sent a signal into space. Perhaps it won't be long before your compatriots come knocking and a great war breaks out between you."

Connors' words made "Superman" Clark frown even more. He simply couldn't understand why this guy, who was clearly human inside and out, would know so much about Krypton.

However, his longing for his fellow countrymen led "Superman" Clark to ask further:

"Why? They came looking for me? If they're my compatriots, why are they fighting me?"

"The leader is named 'Zod,' General Zod. You should be able to learn about his specific actions from that pioneer ship." Connors didn't intend to launch into a long explanation; he only needed to provide the key information.

"I called you here for two reasons: first, to remind you to protect Louise and Mom in advance; and second, to ask you for a favor."

Looking at the face of Superman, which was almost identical to that in the Man of Steel movie, Connors first offered Clark benefits before making his own demands.

Seeing that Superman was deep in thought, Connors did not disturb him, giving him ample time to process the information.

Despite being human, he knew about Krypton, and even about General Zod, whom his biological father had mentioned—"Superman" Clark quickly thought for a moment, then quietly clenched his fist and asked:

"Are you investigating me?"

Otherwise, it's impossible to explain why Connors knew so much information.

"Apart from your mother's name, which of the others can be found out through investigation? Just consider me someone who can occasionally predict the future, and this time it just happened to be about you."

Clark subtly loosened his clenched fist. He didn't know if Connors's warning was true or not, but it didn't seem malicious. He asked:

"What can I do for you?"

Connors cleared his throat; the plan had been progressing very smoothly at this stage.

"Use your superhuman eyesight to help me find a guy in this city with green hair, pale skin, and a split mouth."

"A person wearing clothes with question marks on them and holding a cane shaped like a question mark."

"A person whose head was covered by burlap, whose body was covered with jars and tubes, and whose hands and feet were thin."

"A short, stout man who is about waist-high and has a hooked nose."

A person with unusually developed muscles, tubes inserted into his body, and a mask on his face.

2

"A person who looks similar to a crocodile, but whose head isn't as long as a crocodile's—well, a crocodile-man."

Because Connors spoke first about Krypton, his fellow Kryptonians, and reminded him to protect his mother, "Superman" Clark instinctively felt a sense of kinship with the person in front of him.

But why is the favor I need from him so strange?

Clark was unsurprised that Connors knew about his superhuman vision; compared to the more distant planet Krypton, it was nothing.

"You're using me like a missing person ad."

"When Zod arrives, they'll also launch a global manhunt for you, so you should prepare in advance." Connors didn't feel much pressure from Clark.

Pressure is something only ordinary people and villains experience.

Clark learned another piece of news about his fellow Kryptonians from Connors, and without further ado, he took to the air.

With the bright moon high in the sky, Superman hovered in the air, his super vision and super thinking quickly filtering through every location in Gotham, and soon landed back beside Connors.

This time, it wasn't a demonstrative "bang," but rather it fell lightly:

"Found it, just say it. Can you remember it?"

"—You seem to think I'm an idiot." Connors said helplessly.

Having memorized the locations Clark mentioned, Connors began to walk:

"Go back, I can handle the rest myself."

"These all seem to be—uh, villains? Don't I need to do anything about them?" Clark wanted to help Connors as much as possible and ask more questions about Krypton.

"No need, thank you for your trouble." Connors casually declined Superman's help.

Clark: "."

Since he put on this suit, Connors is the first and only person who has received his help and then said "thank you for your hard work" to him.

"You know I'm an alien, not like you, so why aren't you afraid?" Clark remembered his father's teachings: to hide one's identity, because humans are afraid of the unknown.

"Because you are a hero," Connors replied.

Tonight is destined to be a sleepless night. Superman definitely won't be able to sleep, but the Scarecrow is sleeping soundly. Connors is holding up his phone and snapping away at the sleeping Scarecrow and the surrounding environment.

The Joker, the Riddler, and the Scarecrow are indeed preparing to cause trouble. From their equipment and blueprints, it's clear that the Penguin is dead—this is what "Superman" Clark told him earlier.

The killer crocodile was in the sewers, and Connors didn't want to go into that stinky place.

Bane seems to be a night owl, never sleeps, and this guy had previously turned the tables on the Joker's plan, so Connors didn't intend to bother with him, only memorizing the other's address.

After finishing everything, Connors was fairly satisfied with what he had accomplished that night.

They've established initial contact with Superman, and given how the story unfolds, a Superman vs. Zod scenario is almost inevitable.

The reunion of the three Gotham sisters is a significant event, as it was orchestrated by the system itself.

The "Man Who Laughs" incident will be completed soon, and the system will soon be upgraded.

Everything went so smoothly that Connors became so carried away that he drove back to his nineteenth-floor apartment, opened the bedroom door, and collapsed onto the bed.

Three soft, clear, and gentle exclamations rang out in succession.

Oh no, I slept in the wrong bed... Connors thought to himself, "This is bad."
