Marvel Universe's Ultimate Martial Arts School
16. Characteristics of the Human Race in the Marvel Universe
Lin Feng's attention was now completely drawn to Peter Parker.
It was even better than I had expected!
With 14% brain width, intelligence probably accounts for 90%.
This child is incredibly smart.
Even the most complex theories seem to pose no challenge to him. His current comprehension may not be as good as Banner's, due to his knowledge and experience, but in terms of insight and intuition, he is already far superior to Banner.
Combining this with some information he had seen at S.H.I.E.L.D., Lin Feng finally realized the differences in this world.
On Earth, after encountering countless races from across the universe and broadening their horizons, the human race discovered that their unique characteristic was their exceptionally powerful souls. Not only among the major human races, but even among all the top races in the entire universe, they were probably number one!
The Earth in this world is quite different in this respect.
The advantage and strength of the native human race here seems to be intelligence!
After all, in the normal course of development, science and technology should develop linearly. You have to stand on the shoulders of your predecessors and take one step at a time to continuously reach new heights.
However, in reality, the Earth's technology has experienced a precipitous decline.
Their scientists haven't even fully mastered ordinary nuclear fusion, yet the Iron Man who's been frequently on TV lately has actually completed the Arc Reactor for controlled cold nuclear fusion.
They haven't even developed a Level 13 supercomputer yet, but Stark Industries has already created an artificial intelligence with self-awareness. It should be noted that the development difficulty of artificial intelligence with consciousness is exponentially higher than that of artificial intelligence that can only learn. It requires either a groundbreaking quantum computer or, if it relies on algorithms, at least a supercomputer with computing power of Level 25 or higher.
Moreover, they haven't even reached the average lifespan of 150 years, their biological foundation is a mess, there has been no large-scale genetic evolution in the world, and there are no evolutionary samples, yet they were able to create B-grade or even A-grade gene serum out of thin air decades ago!
They've never actually been to outer space, yet they're able to extract pure gamma rays from cosmic energy, and they even had a light-speed engine project twenty years ago!
Without the accumulation of predecessors and the foundation of basic technology, the scientists of this world completely skipped the intermediate steps to complete the cutting-edge technology that seemed like castles in the air. In Lin Feng's view, the intelligence of these top scientists could not be described as monstrous at all!
If Lin Feng had previously interpreted this information as 'exaggeration' or 'rumors' when he saw it in the database, then...
The performances of Banner yesterday, Peter Parker today, and even that chubby kid completely confirmed Lin Feng's guess.
The advantage of the human race in this world lies in their intelligence!
This means that strong comprehension and insight greatly help in cultivating genetic energy, and also means a higher chance of awakening spiritual power.
Upgrading a Star-level dojo requires a disciple of the God of War level, something Banner can achieve quickly.
However, the dojo wants to continue upgrading to obtain a better training environment, or it wants to cultivate more outstanding guardians for the human race and carry forward the will of the Limitless Martial Arts Academy.
In the future, disciples will inevitably need to reach the Planetary level, the Eternal level, or even higher levels.
Banner's talent is quite good, and he seems to be far ahead of Peter Parker on the path of cultivation.
However, the Planetary Realm is different from the War God Realm. It not only requires that the strength and speed meet the standards, but also that the life level undergoes a complete transformation, and even that an inner universe is conceived.
The mutated energy hidden within Banner's body can only make the system determine that his power and speed bursts meet the standards, but it does not help with the leap in life level. He has to complete the entire cultivation process again.
Therefore, as long as Peter Parker learns from him, Lin Feng is certain that the first person in his martial arts school to reach the planetary level will not be Banner, but this 9-year-old child!
More importantly, when he looked into Peter Parker's eyes and asked him with a smile what he wanted to do after learning about genetic energy.
Without even thinking, the child blurted out: "I'm going to arrest all the bad guys and take them to the police station so they can be given a just trial!" With great power comes great responsibility, as Uncle Ben always says!
It's a naive statement, but it's very correct.
What a promising talent!
In that instant, Lin Feng had a fleeting illusion, as if he were experiencing the feelings of the original owner of the Limitless Martial Arts Academy when he saw him, a genius mentalist.
It seems I once made similar remarks myself.
…………
Perhaps stimulated by Peter Parker, Natasha unleashed her potential and, just before the course ended, became the second person to successfully refine cosmic energy.
In that instant, the feeling that every cell in her body seemed to be wriggling and growing allowed Natasha to experience the wonders of cultivation for the first time.
Unfortunately, even so, she never managed to win the owner's favor even once.
Natasha finally understood.
Firstly, I'm not as talented at learning this as those two kids.
Secondly, it's probably because of his status as a special agent. Although the other party doesn't refuse S.H.I.E.L.D.'s contact with him, since he came with a purpose, they naturally won't treat him as a real trainee. Therefore, it's normal to treat him differently.
Master Lin very kindly invited the two children to stay for dinner, seemingly wanting to offer them further guidance and exchange ideas.
She was naturally not eligible for such a good thing.
This was the first time she had made a thorough and all-out effort to take the initiative, only to be so coldly ignored by a man.
It was already dark when Natasha left the martial arts school. She knew that if things continued like this, she probably wouldn't be able to get any more information about the school.
If one wants to communicate and interact with this curator more effectively in place of S.H.I.E.L.D., then perhaps I am not the most suitable candidate.
Although she had become somewhat addicted to cultivating genetic energy, completing the mission was always the top priority for an agent.
She stepped into her limited-edition sports car, tossed her small bag onto the passenger seat, and dialed Nick Fury's number.
"Hi, Chief!"
"How is the situation?"
"It didn't go very smoothly."
"Don't tell me you've already offended him."
"Actually, I was ignored by him," Natasha said with a smile. "He doesn't seem to mind contacting S.H.I.E.L.D., and even intentionally showed me some things. I think the mission is halfway complete."
Tell me about it.
Natasha recounted the afternoon's martial arts class and the incident with the two children.
"Gene-based energy cultivation is a very complete and awe-inspiring theory, perhaps evolved from the cultivation of immortality in Eastern legends, or perhaps something else entirely..."
"That Dr. Banner only studied for one day, but the improvement in strength and speed feels equivalent to several years of intense training by a normal person! Moreover, if his theory is true, then this level of improvement is just the beginning; there will be no limit! It might even allow mortal bodies to rival true gods!"
"Judging from his attitude towards those two children, and the fact that the martial arts school has no restrictions on accepting students, and even allowed me, an agent, to attend classes at will, he seems to genuinely want to pass on what he has learned, and does not seem to have any other dangerous motives."
"Of course, this is just my speculation. Whether he has any other dangerous intentions to hide requires further contact and understanding."
There was a few seconds of silence on the other end of the phone, as if they were processing everything Natasha had said.
Nick Fury then gave a wry smile: "Such terrifying power, and he wants to teach it to everyone in the world? Isn't that dangerous? That's the greatest danger in itself!"
