I'm grinding for Marvel attributes

Chapter 64 Where did Matt go?

Kamar-Taj, East Sixth Time Zone.

Coulson's gaze swept around and quickly locked onto a bald woman in a robe with an extraordinary air about her.

Coulson approached somewhat awkwardly and asked, "Hello, are you the Ancient One?"

Gu Yi nodded with a smile: "Yes."

Coulson asked, "Can I report on Russell's operation just now?"

The Ancient One didn't answer, but simply smiled and handed Coulson a note.

Coulson took the note and asked, puzzled, "What's this?"

Ancient One: "The WiFi password for Kamar-Taj. Ordinary signals can't enter or leave Kamar-Taj; you can't make phone calls without WiFi."

Colson: "."

Coulson: "Thank you, Ancient One."

Coulson tried it first and found that the satellite phone could not make calls either.

Connect to WiFi again and enter the password from the note.

Sakurajima, East Ninth District.

Due to time zone differences, it was already night on Sakurajima, with the city lights just coming on.

Russell stood atop a manor, looking down.

Despite the patrolling security personnel and various electronic devices, none of them could detect his presence.

With his mental energy released, Russell quickly found the pager he had given Matt.

The pager was intact and in Matt's pocket.

In the lower half of the pants pocket.

Russell's face was grim, and the anger in his eyes was almost impossible to suppress.

Taking out the Time Stone was like rewinding a movie; the surrounding scene changed rapidly, quickly freezing on the night three days prior.

Matt transformed into Daredevil, wearing a bodysuit, and sneaked into the manor under the cover of night.

Everything went smoothly along the way, and Matt successfully confirmed that this manor was indeed the Hand's base.

Just as he was leaving, a dark shadow flashed by.

With a splatter of blood, Matt's upper body disappeared.

Russell could also faintly hear chewing sounds.

boom!

A silent roar erupted as Russell, enraged, unleashed his mental power, directly invading the minds of everyone in the manor.

He roughly flipped through all the information about that dark figure.

"what!"

The piercing howls echoed throughout the manor, and the Hand members felt their heads throbbing with pain, wishing they could smash their brains open to relieve the agony.

The evil god worshipped by the Hand, the primal demon—Beast!

How could He have come to Earth?

How could it possibly descend to Earth?

Russell considered one possibility.

It just so happens that during this time, the Ancient One left Earth to visit Asgard.

However, Earth is protected by three supreme sanctuaries, and the beast alone could not bypass their protection and enter or leave Earth silently.

Having obtained the necessary information, Russell clenched his fist and tucked away half of Matt's body.

A surge of spiritual power swept across the globe.

The beast has left Earth.

Matt's upper body and soul were swallowed by the beast and taken away from this universe, making it impossible to revive him with the Time Stone.

"This is just an ordinary base of the Hand; there's no way to contact any of the Beast's higher-ups, so there's no point in keeping it here."

The next instant, energy surged, and the two extras were thrown far away.

Then the earth seemed to split open like a gaping abyss, swallowing the entire manor.

Then the earth closed up, constantly rolling and crushing.

Screams and wails were drowned out by the sound of the earth churning.

In a short while, the former manor was turned into a barren wasteland.

With one step, Russell's figure vanished, and he arrived at another part of Sakura Island.

Tonight, he will search every place until he finds a way to contact the beast.

After connecting to WiFi, Coulson immediately dialed Nick Fury's number to report the news.

The call was answered instantly.

Colson:

"Chief Fury, this is Coulson."

"Just now, with Tony's help, Eileen and I went to Kamar-Taj and met Russell."

"He has gone to Sakura Island to investigate Matt Murdoch's disappearance."

"Should we have our agents cooperate with him?"

"No need," Nick Fury said wearily. "Russell has already taken matters into his own hands."

Upon learning of the disappearance of Russell's friend Matt Murdoch, S.H.I.E.L.D. dispatched resources to Sakura Island to investigate.

Finding out the truth would allow me to curry favor with Russell and improve my relationship with him.

That would bring us one step closer to recruiting Russell into the Avengers.

But just now, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s technical department detected Russell's energy fluctuations and quickly reported it to Nick Fury.

According to the technical department's analysis of the energy fluctuation curve, Russell's energy fluctuations were unstable, and he was most likely in a state of anger.

Considering the location of the incident, Sakurajima, and this, and linking it to the recent information about Russell.

Nick Fury quickly pieced together the situation.

Russell's friend Matt Murdoch was killed while investigating the Hand on Sakura Island. Enraged, Russell sought revenge for his friend.

Nick Fury shared his analysis with Colson, saying:

"I estimate this incident is over. Stay in Kamar-Taj for a while longer and wait for Russell to return so you can express S.H.I.E.L.D.'s goodwill."

"Just say that S.H.I.E.L.D. will help him smooth over the secular influence."

After hanging up the phone, Nick Fury rubbed his temples.

He had assumed that as long as Russell remained in New York, S.H.I.E.L.D. would have plenty of opportunities to recruit him.

Unexpected.

Hey~

"Director Fury, Russell's energy fluctuations have been detected again."

Just as Nick Fury was feeling melancholy, his subordinate's report interrupted his reflections.

"Getting into work mode quickly," Nick Fury said.

"Again? Is Russell going to take revenge on the entire Hand?"

"Pass the word down to our agents to quickly withdraw from the Hand's territory to avoid being caught in the crossfire."

"Chief Fury." Another agent burst into the office.

"The Sakura Island agents have reported that they were just thrown out of the Hand base by an unknown energy source. By the time they returned to check, the Hand base had been razed to the ground."

Nick Fury breathed a sigh of relief.

This is actually good news, indicating that Russell has not lost his mind, can still distinguish friend from foe, and deliberately let the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents go.

This also indirectly proves Russell's stability.

It's a pity that someone with such strong combat power is unwilling to join the Avengers.

Nick Fury sighed again.

He once missed out on the strongest Avenger—Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers.

It wasn't that he didn't try, but rather that Carol had been brainwashed by the supreme intelligence of the Kree civilization and had survived in the universe for a very long time.

Although he regained his memories after returning to Earth, his sense of belonging to Earth has become very weak.

This time, he missed out on the strongest avenger—the sorcerer Russell.

Unlike last time, if he tries just a little harder this time, he might succeed.

"Director Fury, Russell's energy fluctuations have been detected again."

"Director Fury, we've detected Russell's energy fluctuations."

"Director Fury, Russell's energy fluctuations have been detected again."

It seems Russell is really going to settle scores with the entire Hand.

Nick Fury wondered how the news would report on Sakurajima tomorrow.

Suddenly remembering something, he hurriedly said:

"Quickly! Notify the agents in New York to launch an operation and wipe out all the Hand members."
