Hogwarts: Who made her a professor?

Chapter 445 From Deep Affection to Utter Break

Chapter 445 From Deep Affection to Utter Break

Narcissa Malfoy took a deep breath and then spoke in a trembling voice.

She said, "Belvina, I beg you, please help Lucius, even if it's for Draco's sake."

If the Ministry of Magic determines that Lucius Malfoy is a Death Eater and makes his identity public, Lucius will have no choice but to remain in the shadows.

Unless Voldemort wins the war and the Death Eaters' crimes are transformed into achievements, Lucius Malfoy will never see the light of day again and will no longer have to live in hiding.

"For Draco's sake, Belvina, help Lucius!" Narcissa continued. "All you need to do is uphold the Ministry of Magic's verdict from fourteen years ago. It's that simple!"

Since the special investigation team was established, Narcissa has been living in constant fear, terrified of seeing her husband's name in the newspapers.

Narcissa knew Lucius's past very well; she knew her husband was a Death Eater and that he had done some terrible things.

But Narcissa Malfoy didn't care; all she wanted was her little family, regardless of good or evil, right or wrong.

"Mrs. Malfoy, do you know what your husband has done?" Belvina said coldly. "Or rather, do you know what the Death Eaters have done?"

Narcissa kept her head down, avoiding eye contact with Belvina.

"The new Minister of Magic, Amelia Borns, you might not know who her brother is. But that's alright, I'll tell you."

Belvina's voice grew even colder as she continued, "The minister's brother was Edgar Burns, who was killed by Death Eaters along with his wife and children. Oh, and the minister's mother, Mrs. Burns the Elder, also died at the hands of Death Eaters."

Upon hearing this, Narcissa's frail body trembled involuntarily.

"Marlene McKinnon and her entire family were also wiped out; she and her family were captured and killed by Travers and his men," Belvina continued. "And Fabian and Gideon Prewitt were killed by six Death Eaters led by Dolokhov."

As she spoke, Belvina stood up, walked over to Narcissa, and then bent down.

"Calladok Dearborn has disappeared, Benji Fenwick has been murdered, and I could go on and on for a whole day and night recounting the Death Eaters' crimes! Mrs. Malfoy, do you know any of this? Do you know how much blood your husband has on his hands?"

Narcissa looked up in alarm, only to meet Belvina's razor-sharp gaze, and her body trembled involuntarily once again.

"Death Eaters can wipe out entire families at will, sparing neither the old nor the children, and yet you want me to help Lucius out of Draco's sake? You have the nerve to say that, I have no face to hear it, Mrs. Malfoy."

Belvina continued, "By the way, Draco has a classmate named Neville Longbottom, you know? Yes, he's the Longbottoms' son."

Even before she finished speaking, Narcissa already knew what Belvina was going to say.

Narcissa, sitting on the sofa, scrambled backward, avoiding Belvina's gaze and the cruel truth Belvina was about to reveal.

"Our dear sister Bellatrix, while she was torturing Frank and Alice, Neville, as an infant, witnessed his parents being tortured by the Death Eaters," Belvina continued, "the Cruciatus Curse, Mrs. Malfoy."

Narcissa Malfoy stood up in a panic; she hadn't come to Fertile Grounds tonight to hear Belvina recount the Death Eaters' crimes.

"I don't want to know this, and I don't need to know this!"

As Narcissa backed away, she said, "All I know is that my husband is in danger, and you can help him out of danger!"

"You've got the wrong person, Lady Malfoy. You should go to the Dark Lord," Belvina said. "You can kneel at his feet, kiss his robe, and beg him for mercy."

Narcissa didn't know where Voldemort was, and Lucius Malfoy didn't tell her.

Even if Narcissa knew where Voldemort was, she didn't dare to go looking for him; he was someone she couldn't afford to offend.

With Belvina, Narcissa only suffered verbal torment; with Voldemort, Narcissa would likely have to leave the biosphere with her entire family.

"Are you unaware, or are you afraid?"

Belvina stepped forward, and Narcissa retreated again in a panic.

Narcissa came tonight because she was desperate; she couldn't contact Lucius and had no one to talk to.

To maintain the Malfoy family's reputation, to prevent her husband's Death Eater identity from being exposed, and to protect her son from criticism, Narcissa had no choice but to swallow her pride and plead with Belvina.

Narcissa Malfoy, her hand on her chest, her shoulders trembling, said, word by word, "I don't care how much blood Lucius has on his hands, I don't care how many people the Death Eaters have killed, all I know is that Lucius Malfoy is my husband!"

As she spoke, Narcissa took another deep breath.

She continued, "I'm just asking you, are you going to help or not?"

"No," Belvina said firmly. "You should be thankful that the Ministry of Magic won't harm you or Mr. Malfoy."

Narcissa, her eyes red, said in a low, vicious voice, "One day, I will repay you for everything you have done today, Belvina Black!"

"I look forward to that day, Mrs. Malfoy." Belvina chuckled. "It's probably the most feeble threat I've heard lately, willful and foolish, Mrs. Malfoy."

Narcissa, her mind in turmoil, glared fiercely at Belvina.

Although her mind was in turmoil, Narcissa Malfoy still put on that look of disgust and walked arrogantly out of the living room.

As the two passed each other, Belvina suddenly called out to Narcissa, who was pretending to be strong.

"Cici,"

Narcissa turned around abruptly, thinking that Belvina had changed her mind.

"The next time we meet, you and I will be enemies. I'll give you one last piece of advice: pain is not as irreversible as death."

If Lucius Malfoy is willing to turn himself in and betray his master Voldemort, Belvina wouldn't mind pulling him back one more time and letting him suffer less in Azkaban.

However, Belvina didn't have much hope for it.

A man like Lucius Malfoy wouldn't change his mind unless he suffered a full set of comminuted fractures.

"No need for you to worry, Miss Black."

This time, the person who changed the title became Narcissa Malfoy.

"After you die, I will collect your body and not leave it to rot in the wilderness. This will be a way of fulfilling our sisterly bond."

With that, Narcissa walked out of the living room without looking back, strode across the quiet courtyard, and disappeared into the vast night.

Belvina stood in the middle of the living room for a while. She wasn't saddened by her break with Narcissa; she and Narcissa had never been on the same page.

Belvina once wanted to shut herself away and live her own little life, neither actively seeking out the outside world nor rejecting it, just like an irresponsible scumbag.

Narcissa Malfoy's world revolved around Malfoy and could only contain him.

Narcissa thought she was desperate when she came to Voldemort's door tonight, but in reality, she still had one last resort. As long as Voldemort made a public appearance and won, Narcissa's current difficulties would be easily resolved.

Because of the powerful Voldemort as her reliance, even though Narcissa herself was unaware of it, her words and actions still revealed an air of superiority.

Without Voldemort, Narcissa would have seen the true extent of Lucius's crimes; without Voldemort, Narcissa would not have dared to threaten Belvina; if Narcissa had seen through Voldemort's true nature, she would have known how foolish she and her husband had been.

"It seems that you sisters don't get along very well."

Bassheda emerged from behind the door, carrying a large plate of desserts.

"It would be a miracle if she were happy," Belvina said helplessly. "Although she married Malfoy, Narcissa is a black man."

"But I don't think she looks much like you, Sirius, or you two siblings," Bassheda said, picking up a piece of dessert and putting it to her mouth.

That being said, Bassheda knew very well that Narcissa shared similarities with Belvina and Sirius.

To atone for his sins, Sirius Black could be wrongfully imprisoned for twelve years; for the sake of her family, Narcissa could turn a blind eye to her husband's crimes and consider herself inherently noble.

"You and Sirius won't be indifferent to those wizards who died unjustly," Bassheda said vaguely. "Besides, your world is vast, and you can hold many more people in your hearts."

Even someone as thick-skinned as Belvina blushed slightly at the praise from her best friend.

Belvina knows her own character very well; her heart isn't a durian, it doesn't have that many sharp points to hold so many people.

"Want to try some?" Bassheda held up a piece of mixed fruit cake and offered it to Belvina's lips. "I had Dobby make it especially for me."

Just as Belvina was about to snatch the food from the tiger's mouth, footsteps sounded again outside the living room. The person who came was the female batter who had just accompanied Narcissa into the farmhouse.

"Director, news just came from the ministry that someone broke into the Department of Mysterious Affairs at night."

"Well, Belvina won't be able to eat the mixed fruit cake tonight."
