Hogwarts: Who made her a professor?

Chapter 449 Suffering and Tribulation Draco

Chapter 449 Suffering and Tribulation Draco

The crimson steam locomotive rattled all the way north toward Scotland.

Draco Malfoy, the new Slytherin prefect, walked down the aisle toward his prefectural box, his face looking rather grim.

As he walked, Draco noticed that people were always looking at him with a strange and complicated gaze, their eyes filled with fear and hatred.

Whenever they passed by the Gryffindor or Hufflepuff boxes, some people would nudge the person sitting next to them with their elbows and then point and whisper about Draco and his group.

Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle—these three names all appeared on the front page of The Moon newspaper. They refused a summons from the Ministry of Magic, and to this day, their whereabouts remain unknown.

In the Moon newspaper's report, Rita Skeeter swept everything away and became herself again. She not only delved into the Malfoy family's past but also implied that Lucius Malfoy was the most loyal follower of the Mystic.

Although the Ministry of Magic has not publicly confirmed that Lucius Malfoy is a Death Eater, most people choose to believe Rita Skeeter. After all, while various media outlets are smearing Dumbledore, only Rita and The Moon are telling the truth.

Today, on the train to Hogwarts, the hateful gazes Draco Malfoy felt were all the sins of his father being visited upon his son.

Draco was frustrated. He didn't know what grudge these people who hated him had against the Death Eaters, nor did he know how much this hatred had to do with his father.

Draco was once proud of his father and honored to be the pure and noble Malfoy.

Later, Draco gradually broke free from the influence of his father and family. He tried to think independently, view problems independently, and re-examine the entire Malfoy family.

Now, fifteen-year-old Draco possesses thoughts and insights far exceeding those around him. As Crabbe and Goyle become increasingly arrogant due to the Dark Lord's return, Draco feels a growing sense of unease.

The Dark Lord has returned, and war has broken out again. How many people will die this time, and how many will go missing?

Among those who have died or gone missing, are there people they knew, people they were familiar with, or people close to them?

Will the Malfoy family survive the war? Will Belvina be in danger? And Harry Potter, will the boy who survived so many calamities survive this one as well?

Draco was depressed. He had no one to share his worries with, no one to confide in. He could only keep everything to himself and toss and turn at night, unable to fall asleep.

When Draco, Crabbe, Goyle, and the new prefect Pansy Parkinson walked through a car once again, the four of them once again attracted the hateful light of the self.

Crabbe and Gore, who were becoming more and more like baboons, grinned and cracked their knuckles. The arrogant Pansy Parkinson looked back defiantly and kept giving the people in the cubicle a mocking look.

Miss Parkinson, born into a pure-blood family, has always been sharp-tongued and domineering, discriminating against and insulting non-pure-blood wizards. She is the kind of person who only grows older but not smarter.

Seeing that the people in the cubicle not only didn't back down but dared to continue glaring angrily, Pansy Parkinson started making a scene, shouting, "What are you looking at!"

As soon as he shouted, people in the other cubicles also poked their heads out to see what was going on.

When they saw that the troublemaker was Slytherin's Pansy Parkinson, with Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle standing beside him, some people shrank back into their cubicles, angry at the four men's behavior but not daring to speak out.

There were also some people who came out of the cubicle, looking like they were going to teach the four a lesson.

Crabbe and Goyle's ugly faces grew even more sinister with their smiles, and the two cracked their knuckles, waiting for Draco's command.

"Have you had enough, Pansy?" Draco said. "If you haven't, you can keep causing trouble by yourself. I have to rush to the prefectural box for a meeting."

Crabbe and Goyle were stunned. They couldn't understand why Draco would put up with these malicious stares.

Pansy Parkinson looked aggrieved, feeling that she was standing up for Draco, but he didn't appreciate it at all.

Before Pansy Parkinson could make a choice, Draco had already abandoned the three and continued walking forward.

However, the people from the other cubicles had already gathered around, and even if Draco wanted to settle things peacefully, he had no choice but to comply.

"Where are you going, young Malfoy?" someone said sarcastically.

"I heard your dad is afraid to accept the summons from the Ministry of Magic. Could he be a Death Eater?" someone asked bluntly.

"Get out of my way, I don't want to fight you." Draco's tone was calm, unperturbed by the crowd in front of him. "The Ministry of Magic is right here."

The Ministry of Magic staff who were guarding both ends of the carriage also came over. Although their duty was to protect the students from the Death Eaters, they could not just stand by and watch the students fight inside the carriage.

"Everyone, disperse! Everyone, disperse!"

Ministry of Magic staff shouted instructions while persuading the students blocking the aisle to return to their compartments.

"Everyone, disperse! Don't crowd the aisles, go back to your cubicles!"

The students surrounding Draco only dispersed and returned to their cubicles when the Ministry of Magic staff approached.

"Are you alright, Mr. Malfoy?" the Ministry of Magic employee who came to Draco's rescue asked indifferently. "If you're alright, you should go back to your cubicle as well."

"I'm fine, thank you, but I can't go back to my cubicle. I'm a prefect and I have to go to a meeting," Draco said, clearly sensing the Ministry of Magic staff's dislike for him.

If this had happened in 1991, Draco would have loudly warned everyone that he was going to tell his father everything.

But it's 1995 now, and Draco is no longer that little brat who only tattles. He knows why his classmates hate him and why the people at the Ministry of Magic dislike him.

Draco Malfoy didn't want to be high-profile, much less cause trouble.

He needed to calm down, not worry his mother who was far away at home, and not cause trouble for his father who was hiding.

Voldemort and the Death Eaters, Hogwarts and the Ministry of Magic—these grand topics were all beyond Draco's comprehension; he had no power to change either side.

In the next carriage, Draco Malfoy was once again besieged by hateful stares. Crabbe and Goyle were still grinning, and Pansy Parkinson remained as sarcastic and arrogant as ever.

Fortunately, this was the last carriage, and the newly appointed Slytherin Prefect Draco Malfoy finally arrived at the Prefect's Box.

"You're late, Malfoy."

As soon as Draco pushed open the door to the private room, he was criticized by the new student council president, Cedric Diggory.

"I'm sorry, I was delayed on the way," Draco said, sitting down in an empty seat by the door without offering much explanation for his lateness.

"You're late too, Parkinson."

Pansy Parkinson snorted coldly, showing no respect whatsoever to the new student council president.

She thought to herself: The mysterious man is back. Let's see how long you Dumbledore's lackeys can be so smug!

"I said, you're late, Miss Parkinson," Cedric said with a smile. Cedric had picked up quite a few of Belvina's bad habits.

Pansy Parkinson, with her nose in the air, had no intention of paying any attention to Cedric Diggory.

Parkinson not only ignored the student council president, but she also prepared to find a place to sit down, but there was no seat reserved for her in the private room.

The Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw prefects sat casually, none of them intending to make room for Parkinson, though there was an empty seat for the Slytherin prefect.

"Given Miss Pansy Parkinson's extremely disrespectful behavior towards the prefectural council, I propose that Miss Pansy Parkinson be disqualified from attending this meeting," Cedric said. "Those who agree, please raise your hands."

Ron, whose hands moved faster than his brain, swiftly raised his hand, his arm straight, pointing directly at the ceiling of the carriage.

Then Hermione and the rest of the Gryffindor prefects raised their hands, also agreeing to expel Pansy Parkinson.

Hufflepuff's prefects followed suit, as did Hannah Abbott and Ernie McMillan, along with the upperclassmen, all of whom endorsed Cedric's proposal.

Cedric Diggory is the student council president from Hufflepuff, so how could the Hufflepuff prefects not support him, especially since the person on the other side is the annoying Pansy Parkinson?

"you!"

Pansy Parkinson, used to being bossy, angrily pointed at everyone.

Hermione, arms raised high, thought to herself: "She's even dumber than a troll with a concussion. She's offended everyone on her first day as prefect!"

As Pansy Parkinson launched her indiscriminate attack, the Ravenclaw prefects, who had been hesitant, all raised their hands in agreement to get rid of this idiot.

The prefects of Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw all declared that whether or not the Slytherin prefects raised their hands, it would not change the fact that Pansy Parkinson had been disqualified from the meeting.

"Now, please leave, Miss Pansy Parkinson," Cedric said with a smile. "I'm sure Mr. Malfoy will relay the contents of today's meeting to you."

Pansy Parkinson looked at the people in the prefectural box.

The Slytherin prefects were indifferent; not one of them stood up to say a kind word.

The prefects of the other three houses all cast looks at Parkinson with either disgust or disdain; not one of them liked her.

Pansy Parkinson looked at the person she was closest to and most trusted. Draco Malfoy wanted to pretend he didn't see her pleading look, but the scene of him being heartless did not happen.

"I assure you, Pansy will not say another word and will not affect this meeting. I assure you," Draco said to Cedric.

Then Draco looked at Pansy Parkinson and continued, "If she disrupts the meeting, I'll leave with her."

.

Cedric did not respond, neither agreeing to Draco's request nor driving Pansy Parkinson away again.
