Hogwarts: Who made her a professor?

Chapter 467 Huge and Small

Chapter 467 Huge and Small

Completely numb, Belvina had given up struggling. Whatever, let it be.

Anyway, Dumbledore is the headmaster of Hogwarts, so he'll have to take the blame if anything goes wrong. He can do whatever he wants.

So, Belvina, who had given up struggling, was taken to the Forbidden Forest, where she saw Britain's only giant among a cluster of thick trees.

Well, Hagrid's half-brother Grop is quite different from the giants that Belvina knows. Grop is really too short for a giant.

"Mrs. Maxim, can she accept Gropp?" Belvina asked.

Mrs. Maxime is a very elegant witch, while Gropp is a savage giant; it's hard to imagine the two of them getting along.

"At first, Orim accepted Gropp out of respect for me," Hagrid said in a low voice. "But as time went on, Orim got tired of it, and then we broke up."

After they parted ways, Mrs. Maxime went straight back to Beauxbatons, while Hagrid took Gropp with him. The two brothers had to travel at night, through the wilderness, and then illegally enter the country to return to Hogwarts.

"Glop is so pitiful, I can't leave him there. I'm his brother, I have to take care of him," Hagrid said repeatedly.

Looking at Dumbledore and Belvina, the uninjured eye looked teary and sweaty.

"Hagrid, are you sure you can take care of Gropp?" Dumbledore asked. "You know the consequences if he leaves the Forbidden Forest without permission."

Wizards drove away and slaughtered giants for two reasons: firstly, to uphold the International Law on Secrecy, and secondly, because the giants posed too great a threat to them.

Sixteen feet tall is considered short among giants, but it is a behemoth to wizards. Moreover, giants are inherently cruel and tyrannical; they kill even other giants, let alone wizards.

The Forbidden Forest is vast enough to accommodate the sixteen-foot-tall giant, Gropp, but the students' lives would be threatened if he left it.

"I can do it!" Hagrid patted his chest to assure him, but his movements were too big and he accidentally aggravated his wound, causing him to wince in pain once again.

After a while, Hagrid continued, "I will teach him to speak, teach him manners, and not let him hurt anyone."

Belvina didn't believe a single syllable of Hagrid's assurances, mainly because Hagrid's still-bleeding wounds made them completely unconvincing.

At this moment, Gropp, who was fast asleep, suddenly woke up.

The sixteen-foot-tall diminutive giant sat up, and the ground around him trembled as he did so.

Then, Grop moved his thick arm, his wrist wrapped in an extremely thick vine, the other end of which was tied to a very thick ancient tree.

Perhaps it was his bad temper upon waking, or perhaps it was the discomfort of being entangled in the vines, but Gropp, who had just woken up, looked very unhappy. He let out a deafening roar that echoed through the Forbidden Forest for a long time.

Seeing his "adorable" little brother wake up, Hagrid stopped crying. He bent down and picked up a long branch, wanting to greet his brother.

However, Gropp wasn't happy to see his brother; he was still waving his arms, trying to break free from the vines.

"How's it going, Grop? Sleeping well?" Hagrid shouted, poking Grop's knee with a long stick.

Annoyed, Gropp let out a low growl, whether in response to Hagrid or a prelude to his anger was unclear.

Just as Hagrid was about to continue waving with the branch, Gropp saw Dumbledore standing at the front and suddenly stretched out his large hand, as big as a parasol, toward Dumbledore.

"Bad boy, Grop!" Hagrid shouted anxiously, whipping Grop's shin with a stick.

Seeing that Dumbledore was about to be grabbed by Gropp's large hand, Hagrid became even more anxious and lashed out at Gropp with even more force.

"Don't grab people, Gropp! You bad kid! Stop it!"

Hagrid's whipping and shouting finally had an effect. Just as he was about to grab Dumbledore, Gropp suddenly stopped and then sullenly plopped down.

"It seems that Grop not only knows you, but he also knows you are his brother," Dumbledore said calmly. Facing the enormous hand of the diminutive giant, Dumbledore remained composed, not even flinching.

Hagrid, terrified, stood timidly to the side, his large head bowed low, tears streaming down his face and into his thick beard.

Although no one was hurt, Gropp's actions were very dangerous, and Hagrid pessimistically believed that Dumbledore would not allow him to leave Gropp in the Forbidden Forest.

"Glopp can stay."

Hagrid looked up in disbelief. Had he misheard, or had Dumbledore said something wrong?

"Glopp can stay," Dumbledore repeated, "but he must live within the boundaries I've set for him until you've taught him the rules."

Although Hagrid is a troublemaker, always getting into trouble, his loyalty to Dumbledore is beyond question, so Dumbledore is willing to help Hagrid fulfill his wish.

"Don't get too excited, Hagrid," Belvina said, throwing cold water on his enthusiasm. "Have you considered the other tribes in the Forbidden Forest? Will they accept Grop?"

The smile that had just appeared on Hagrid's scarred face vanished instantly.

Given Gropp's current savage and violent state, he will definitely offend the centaurs in the Forbidden Forest, and the centaur tribes will certainly not accept Gropp.

"I believe Hagrid will find a way," Dumbledore said, his gaze still fixed on the giant Gropp.

Encouraged by Dumbledore, Hagrid rallied and a smile returned to his scarred face.

A sullen Gropp turned his enormous head, his murky green-brown eyes looking at the "petite" Hagrid. Gropp didn't understand what Hagrid was laughing at, but a blank joy appeared on his frighteningly large face.

If Hagrid didn't have those horrific wounds, Belvina would have called this scene "brotherly love and respect," but these brothers with giant blood obviously cannot be viewed by common sense.

Belvina neither splashed cold water on them nor disturbed the giant brothers, but instead followed Dumbledore as they wandered around in the dark, dense forest.

Out of respect for Hagrid, Dumbledore allowed Gromp to live in the Forbidden Forest, but to ensure the safety of the students, Dumbledore had to restrict Gromp's range of activities.

"You just suddenly returned to the office. Is there something you need?" Dumbledore asked as he walked in.

"It's Remus. He's found out the time and location of the werewolf attack," Belvina replied. "I'm preparing to wipe out the werewolves."

Werewolves are caused by a wolfification infection. They cannot control their transformation and will forget their identity after transforming. However, after transforming back into human form, they can still recall everything they experienced during the transformation.

For werewolves, the monthly transformation process is extremely painful. During the transformation, werewolves will instinctively attack those around them, and this process is completely out of control.

However, some werewolves, such as Fenrir Greyback, will approach their targets before the full moon to ensure they can successfully attack after transforming.

Worse still, werewolves like Fenrir Greyback are no longer content with biting people only during a full moon; they will attack humans even when the moon is not full.

Belvina's targets were werewolves who had developed a cannibalistic fetish. They had been recruited by Greyback and become part of the werewolf army, joining Greyback under Voldemort's command.

Therefore, this group of extremely dangerous and inhuman werewolves must be eliminated.

At this moment, Dumbledore suddenly stopped and turned to look at Belvina, who was following behind him.

"It'll be a full moon soon," said Dumbledore. "Next week."

"Yes, next Tuesday." Belvina nodded. "So—I need to ask you for leave."

"I understand," Dumbledore instructed. "Be careful in all things, and protect the wizards involved in this operation as much as possible."

"I know," Belvina said solemnly. "I have seen firsthand how hard and haggard Remus is, so I will do everything in my power to protect my men."
