Chapter 87 The Light of Eyarendil

"Light will drive out darkness, and Middle-earth will usher in a new era, but there will be no place for you there."

A voice came from behind everyone.

Then came a holy radiance that repelled the power of darkness.

"Lady Galadriel!"

Everyone looked pleasantly surprised.

Galadriel, dressed in white, strolled over, radiating a moonlight-like glow that caused the surrounding dark forces to retreat as if scorched.

When the Demon Eye saw Galadriel, its pupils contracted, and its hollow, cold voice deepened.

"You always show up at the wrong time."

"No, you have awakened in the wrong place." Galadriel stepped onto the scorched earth, ignoring the scorching flames, and approached Sauron's Eye of the Demon.

"Sauron, servant of the Dark Morgoth, here you have no power, you have no support, no name, no face, no form. Return to the void where you belong!"

Galadriel raised a crystal bottle that seemed to contain stars, from which an incredibly dazzling starlight emanated.

That was a crystal bottle containing the light of Eyarendil, which contained powerful divine energy and had a natural restraining effect on evil creatures and dark forces.

The Light of Eyarendil, also known as the Star of Eyarendil, is the brightest morning star in Middle-earth.

Eyarndir, the father of Elrond, wore the Silmarils forged from Fëanor in his hair and sailed the heavens in his white ship. The Silmarils on his head became the "Star of Hope" of Middle-earth.

The Silmarils were sacred artifacts crafted from the light of the Two Trees captured by Fëanor. They were treasures even Morgoth, Sauron's former master, coveted, and this sparked the war between the Elves and Morgoth in the First Age.

The crystal bottle in Galadriel's hand contains the light of the Silmarils, and also the radiance of the Two Trees.

Driven by Galadriel's full power, the light of Eyarndil within the crystal bottle erupted with its most powerful divine force.

Under the light of Eyarendil, Sauron's demonic eye was rapidly corroded as if it had been exposed to sulfuric acid, emitting painful screams.

The demonic eye cracked amidst the flowing light, its piercing scream tearing through the sky: "You will ultimately fall into darkness!"

As the smoke and dust cleared and the demonic eye shattered, only a dark red star pierced the east, leaving a trail of sulfurous fire in the clouds.

Sauron was defeated once again, losing his power, and the wolf-fox escaped.

Galadriel, who had unleashed the Light of Eyarndir, was also exhausted and had to run backwards. Elrond and Gandalf caught her just in time, and she collapsed into Gandalf's arms, her face pale.

The crystal bottle in his hand also became dull.

"Lady Galadriel, are you alright?" Gandalf asked with concern.

Everyone gathered around, looking at Galadriel with concern.

Galadriel shook her head, her gaze fixed on the Far East, filled with worry: "Although he has been temporarily banished, Sauron's spirit still lingers."

He could return at any time!

"This is already a very good result, madam," Glorfindel comforted her. "Sauren suffered heavy losses this time. His physical form has been destroyed, and he has lost his power again. Only a wisp of his soul is left wandering, and it will be difficult for him to recover in a short time."

"And as long as the One Ring exists in this world, Sauron can never be destroyed."

Elrond's expression was serious: "Sauron has fled to the Far East and is likely hiding back in his stronghold of Mordor. We need to warn Gondor to be on high alert in the Mordor region."

Gandalf's gaze fell upon the area outside Dorgon Castle, where the gathered orcs scattered and fled into the dense forest as Sauron fled in defeat.

"When those Oc fled, they were scattered but orderly, and they retreated in a northeast direction, which clearly indicates that someone was manipulating them from behind."

His gaze met Dui's, revealing a worried expression.

"I'm afraid that after Azog's death, a new leader will quickly emerge in Orc, which is not good news for us!"

Dui didn't seem to care much about any of that. He looked at Galadriel, whose face was still deathly pale, and took out a potion from his storage bag.

"Lady Galadriel, this is a soothing potion I made; it might help you."

Galadriel did not refuse Duy's kindness and smiled at him.

Dui almost lost herself in that smile, and quickly looked away, silently reminding herself that the woman already had a husband.

Galadriel laughed even harder when she saw his embarrassed look.

She curiously examined the red potion Dui had given her, then drank it all in one gulp. The bitter taste made her frown slightly.

But the effects of the potion were also very obvious; a blush quickly appeared on his pale face, and he was no longer as weak and powerless as before.

"Thank you for the potion, Duir, I feel much better!" Galadriel's eyes flashed with surprise, not expecting Duir's potion to be so effective.

Dui was even more surprised, as an ordinary person only needed three drops of the remedy to recover.

However, Galadriel only recovered somewhat after taking the entire bottle's worth.

Such a disparity left Dui speechless.

Seeing that Galadriel had recovered considerably, the others looked at Dui with even greater surprise.

Elrond's gaze toward Dui became even more benevolent.

"Today's victory against Sauron will be recorded in epic history, and the wizard Duir deserves great credit! If it weren't for your powerful spell that severely damaged Sauron and caused his body to collapse, we wouldn't have been able to gain the upper hand and finally wait for Lady Galadriel to successfully banish Sauron."

The others agreed with Elrond's words, acknowledging Dui's contribution in the battle.

This completely placed him on the same level as them.

Gandalf, however, still said with some concern, "Duir, although I am being overly pessimistic, I hope you will not become addicted to dark magic. It is not wrong to pursue power, but you must not let yourself fall into darkness and become a slave to power."

Although the others did not speak, their eyes conveyed the same meaning.

The Avada Kedavra curse cast by Dui was filled with a strong aura of dark magic, which naturally could not escape the eyes of the powerful people in front of him. Dui was somewhat surprised and taken aback when he heard this. He originally thought that these upright people in front of him would disapprove of his use of dark magic, or even strongly oppose it.

I didn't expect it was just a reminder not to get too caught up in dark magic.

"Thank you for reminding me, Gandalf. I will be careful!" Dui nodded earnestly.

He naturally knew that dark magic was extremely dangerous, and that excessive indulgence in it could alter one's character and even distort one's soul.

The essence of black magic is to harm, control, or take away life. Its power is closely related to negative emotions (such as hatred, greed, cruelty, etc.). Being in such extreme emotions for a long time will gradually distort a person's mind.

Furthermore, the misuse of black magic can cause visible damage to the user's body, making their appearance unrecognizable.

Just like the Death Eaters in the Harry Potter world, each one of them has a gloomy and twisted appearance, a crazy and cruel personality, and even Voldemort, who has no human appearance.

The people present were all knowledgeable and wise, and they could naturally tell that Dui was not just making empty promises.

Therefore, the gaze directed at Dui became even more appreciative and friendly.

Over the long years, they have witnessed countless talented individuals go astray in their pursuit of power.

They do not want those who fight alongside them today to one day fall into darkness or even stand on the opposite side.
