Chapter 934 Stand in the middle, beat both sides
Jemin sensed something was wrong as soon as he activated the spatial teleportation.
When they were actually teleported to the coordinates, the first thing they saw was a vast, overwhelming array of alien races.
"What a grand display! No wonder the space around here is so distorted that we can't get close."
Hundreds of level-eight life forms floated in the void, of various races and with bizarre shapes.
There are elemental creatures engulfed in dark red flames, insectoids with thick armor and bodies comparable in size to small hills, and flying races with four wings and bodies covered in lightning patterns.
After a quick count, Jemin found a total of seven different races, each exuding the terrifying aura unique to level eight creatures.
Behind them, several enormous spatial tunnels were continuously pouring out more reinforcements, the runes on the surface of the tunnels flickering, clearly indicating that they were still expanding.
Karl hovered at the very front of the legion, facing hundreds of level-eight aliens alone.
Jemin had his legions lined up in a defensive formation behind him, restless and uneasy.
It seems that Karl is renowned among the alien races, so even though they have a superficial advantage in combat strength, they do not act rashly, but rather stand guard against him.
Thanks to this, the worst-case scenario wasn't encountered when Jemin arrived.
After a quick search, Jemin soon found Jack hiding behind a rock on the flank of the battlefield.
It's obvious that Jack's choice was at Carl's request.
After all, in a war of this magnitude, Jack's presence would be nothing more than a hindrance.
When Jack saw him arrive, he first breathed a sigh of relief, then quickly explained the situation.
"We were gathering the remaining humans in the northwest region, and everything was going smoothly. But after we got to this area, we were suddenly attacked." Jack lowered his voice and glanced at the alien camp in the distance.
"Fortunately, Mr. Carl reacted quickly and single-handedly blocked the first wave of attacks, which prevented the situation from deteriorating further."
Jemin found the movements of those alien races rather strange: "Were those guys hostile or cooperative before you arrived?"
Jack thought for a moment and offered his opinion: "They seem to be allied, but they didn't seem to be truly working together during the previous battle. From what I observed, these guys were even wary of each other when they were in a standoff."
"I suspect these alien races are searching for something, and they may have only temporarily come together for some kind of benefit. Right now, they're just instinctively eliminating anyone else who might try to take a share of the pie."
Jemin nodded thoughtfully: "Profit? — What was this area originally?"
"A forbidden zone for human civilization," Jack said. "The beasts here are extremely evolved, powerful, and densely populated, making them incredibly dangerous. As far as I know, even the military was unwilling to approach them before. After all, these beasts are too strong; ordinary firepower has become ineffective, and subduing this area would be too troublesome. Anyway, they won't just wander around aimlessly; it's simply a matter of prohibiting people from entering this forest."
"If there's any benefit to it, then the strange beasts here are a kind of treasure in themselves—"
But it shouldn't be attracting so many powerful individuals from other civilizations.
As the two were talking, Jemin's arrival drew the attention of everyone present.
When Jemin arrived, Carl and Jack instinctively looked at him, a gesture that was keenly observed by the alien races.
Based on the two people's attitudes toward Jemin, the gazes of hundreds of level-eight life forms simultaneously fell on Jemin, their auras filled with shock and confusion.
How could such an insignificant "lower being" be the leader of this force?
Seeing the other party's wariness, Karl slowly retreated to Jemin's side: "Another rather special place in this area is that there are many relics of the previous human civilization. In addition, because the alien beasts here are of a particularly high level of evolution, some researchers from human civilizations have speculated that this may be the place where the earliest mutation occurred."
Upon hearing this, Jemin's eyes lit up: "So that's the reason."
He quickly pieced together the fragments of information he had previously obtained.
Given the current state of humanity, it's likely that even humans themselves don't know how powerful the previous civilization was.
Therefore, the reason why the alien race would focus on this place is probably because it was the first place where the mutation occurred.
In other words, it is very likely the place closest to that central world.
However, for Jemin, the most significant part of this place is actually the remnants of ancient human civilization.
After all, it represents the accumulated knowledge of the previous human civilization.
Just then, several spiritual forces probed towards him.
One of the most intense, carrying a scorching heat, came from the elemental creature race whose entire body was engulfed in dark red flames.
"Hmm? A mental fluctuation for communication?"
Jemin sensed it briefly, then opened his mind to receive the other party's information.
"Humans." The mental fluctuations carried undisguised arrogance. "We have been observing you for a long time. You struggle to survive in this world, barely maintaining the last embers of your existence."
"We are willing to give you a chance. As long as you humans are willing to cooperate with us, we can give you a ticket to the Central World. You will receive protection, and we will gain our place in your world. It's a win-win situation."
Upon hearing about this so-called cooperation, Jemin did not immediately express his opinion, but instead glanced at the Magic Network terminal.
He had just sent out the assembly message.
Augusta the wizard, Clark, Mrs. Castillo, and other wizards who were free were on their way.
Jemin sneered, raised his head, and retorted directly.
"You are not qualified to discuss cooperation with me."
The fire elemental creature's aura suddenly surged, and dark red flames churned violently in the void: "What did you say? A mere low-level civilization—"
"Inferior civilization?" Jemin interrupted it.
This time, instead of communicating through mental fluctuations, he directly transmitted his voice across the entire battlefield: "You've got one thing wrong. We're not here to cooperate with you."
He raised his hand, and the Black Giant Legion and the Dragonblood Mushroom Legion behind him simultaneously took a step forward, unleashing a deafening battle roar.
"The wizarding civilization has never needed allies." Jemin hovered above the legion, dark golden light flowing around him.
He then said, "We are here to conquer everything. Before the wizards, you civilizations have only one identity."
He observed the anger and unease surging within the aura of those alien races and slowly uttered a single word: "Spoils of war."
