Chapter 28 Tang 3's Disappointment
Chapter 28 Tang San's Disappointment
Two and a half days later, the sun set, casting its last rays across the earth.
Holy Soul Village, this tranquil little village, appeared exceptionally peaceful under the setting sun. However, this tranquility was shattered by the turmoil in Tang Hao's heart.
Tang Hao, who had rushed back from the forest, was dressed in rags, his face showing exhaustion and gloom. Standing at the village entrance, his gaze pierced through the words "Holy Soul," as if examining his years of forbearance and perseverance. A storm raged within him; memories he thought he had forgotten surged back like a tidal wave.
"Innate full soul power level 20, 100,000-year soul ring..." Tang Hao murmured to himself. These terms, which he considered legendary, were now vividly present before his eyes, forcing him to re-examine the rules of this world and his own position. Soon, he gritted his teeth, a complex light flashing in his eyes.
This small, seemingly ordinary Holy Soul Village actually harbors extraordinary talents. Tang Hao was deeply shocked; he never imagined that such a place could simultaneously nurture both a sleeping dragon and a phoenix!
He, as the youngest Title Douluo in the Clear Sky Sect, was already a legendary figure. His beloved son, possessing twin martial souls and innate full soul power, was even more astonishing.
Now, another prodigy has emerged with innate full soul power of level 20 and one or two soul rings that are both 100,000-year soul rings!
Tang Hao chuckled self-deprecatingly. He thought he had hidden himself well enough, but he never expected that there would be such a heaven-defying existence in this Holy Soul Village! Over the years, he had never discovered such a genius, which made him feel a strange sense of humiliation at being mocked by this small village.
"Blade...who exactly are you?" Tang Hao was filled with curiosity and wariness towards this suddenly appearing prodigy. He wanted to know why such a person would hide in this small village, and what his purpose was. All of this was like a mystery, waiting for him to unravel it.
He secretly vowed that if he ever had the chance, he would definitely ask the old village chief Jack how he had taken in that monster named Blade!
At this moment, Tang Hao's lips twitched violently. After this battle, he no longer dared to underestimate that blade! This opponent made him feel unprecedented pressure.
He quickly composed himself, took a deep breath, and a resolute light shone in Tang Hao's eyes. He turned and walked towards home, each step heavy yet filled with strength. At that moment, he had only one thought in his mind: find the answer as soon as possible, for his precious son, whose talent was equally extraordinary!
Inside the thatched hut, the afterglow of the setting sun shone through the window onto the mottled walls, adding a touch of warmth to the simple dwelling. In the corner, beside a worn-out wooden table, Tang San was intently crafting Tang Clan hidden weapons. His fingers deftly moved among the various parts, each assembly precise and flawless.
Suddenly, familiar footsteps came from outside the door. Tang San immediately put away the hidden weapons in his hand and carefully hid them. Then he stood up, dusted off his clothes, and tried to cover up his previous busy work.
"Mistress." With a deep call, Tang Hao pushed open the door and entered. His voice sounded perfectly calm, but the barely perceptible tremor betrayed the turmoil in his heart.
Seeing that it was his father, who had gone out on errands, Tang San immediately put on a smile and hurried towards Tang Hao, intending to take his father's arm as a sign of concern. His eyes were filled with respect and affection as he earnestly asked, "Dad, you're back. Are you hungry? I'll cook right now!"
Tang Hao waved his hand, indicating that he didn't need help. His gaze swept around the room, finally landing on Tang San, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes. He sat directly on the old chair, which creaked slightly, a stark contrast to his serious expression.
"No need, just bring me a drink. I have something to tell you." Tang Hao's words were firm and unwavering.
Tang San nodded quickly in agreement. He ran to the kitchen, his steps light and quick, and returned a moment later with a glass of wine. After handing the wine to Tang Hao, he stood aside, a hint of anticipation in his heart. His expression already showed a mixture of curiosity and excitement. Tang San's eyes unconsciously sparkled.
Tang San's heart was already in turmoil. He remembered clearly that his father's previous trip was to find the mysterious and powerful Blade. He had always believed that his father's journey was to teach Blade a lesson and put an end to his actions in the village. These past few days, Tang San had been filled with anticipation, hoping his father would bring back good news—news that Blade had been taught a lesson by his father.
In the past few days, whenever he thought of the blows Ren had dealt him, a surge of anger welled up inside him. That fire burned in his will, driving him to practice his hidden weapons and the Chaotic Cloak Hammer Technique relentlessly. His palms were blistered, and his arms ached so much he could barely lift them, but he never gave up. He was striving at all costs for their next encounter, for the sake of regaining his lost dignity.
It's all so that next time I have the chance to get my revenge!
However, just as he was eagerly awaiting good news from his father, Tang Hao, after taking a big swig of wine, gave an unexpected warning with a serious expression.
"Xiao San, stay away from your friend Ren as much as possible in the future. Don't make enemies with him, and don't let him find out about the hammer in your left hand, understand?" Tang Hao's words were serious and left no room for doubt.
Tang San was stunned, his eyes filled with confusion and bewilderment. He never expected that his father's first words would be a warning not to oppose Ren. This news felt like a joke to him, instantly shattering his expectations.
"Is this even reasonable?!" Tang San cried out in his heart. He remembered Ren's arrogance, Ren's strength, and even more so, Ren's disdain for him.
In Tang San's mind, the protagonist, a scene constantly unfolded: his father, Tang Hao, with a victorious smile, told him that he could now cultivate in peace without worrying about the threat of the blade. Even if his father, as a hidden master, disdained to go into detail about how to discipline a junior, he should at least have subtly conveyed that sense of security and protection to him!
However, those words, like cold reality, shattered his illusions completely. Not only did they not deliver what he expected, but they also forced him to be even more wary of the blade's presence?
Tang San's face was filled with confusion, his eyes somewhat vacant, as if he was struggling to process this sudden news. He stood there, stunned, his thoughts in turmoil, unsure how to cope with this unexpected turn of events.
Just as he was lost in deep thought, Tang Hao's voice rang out again, breaking the silence in the room, carrying an undeniable seriousness: "Little San, did you hear me? I went to ask Old Jack, and he said that in two and a half months, you will all be going back to Notting City to study, so you must do as I ask!"
Tang San snapped out of his daze, nodding hastily to indicate he had heard his father's words. But his brow remained furrowed, the doubts in his heart like swirling fog, impossible to dispel. He gritted his teeth, mustered his courage, and cautiously asked, trying to elicit more information indirectly:
"Dad, have you seen Blade? While you were away these past two days, Grandpa Jack came over and mentioned it several times. He said he hadn't seen Blade and that we are the hope of Holy Soul Village. If you see him, you must tell him so he won't worry."
Tang San's words carried a hint of probing; he wanted to know if his father had really gone to find Ren, and whether, as he suspected, he had indeed crossed paths with Ren.
"And Grandpa Jack said that if they still can't find it, he'll mobilize the whole village to help them search."
Tang San frowned, his fists clenched unconsciously, his nails digging deep into his palms. He wanted to subtly inquire why, to find out what had happened between his father and Ren.
