Chapter 282 Pureblood Conference and Newcomer Interviews

"Lucius, what does this mean?"

"Your plan doesn't look pureblood at all; it's just like those inferior Muggles, or even worse than Mudbloods."

"This is certainly not something we noble purebloods should be concerned with."

During the gathering of the Chunxie family heads, everyone received a business plan from Lucius. Initially, they thought it was just another new money-making project. However, after reading it, everyone scoffed at the Pureblood Wizard Association.

They are noble and pure; how could they unite and use their own rights and wealth to benefit those lowly wizards who are as rotten as maggots?

The Malfoy family has truly fallen into depravity.

I heard that Draco spends all his time hanging out with a bunch of Mudbloods at school. The leader of this pure-blood family is finally going downhill—

The heads of the many pure-blood families present had already begun exchanging glances, pondering when to isolate the Malfoy family, just as they had isolated the Weasley family.

Lucius had long known that none of these people who followed the Malfoy family around waving the banner of pureblood supremacy were, in essence, smart.

He was powerless to watch them crash to their deaths, because he had promised Ryan that he could build a pure-blood family alliance that Ryan would control.

If it weren't for this reason, he wouldn't care whether these mentally challenged people were alive or dead.

After all, the tide of the times is rolling in and will ruthlessly crush any self-righteous person.

The person who created this trend stands by indifferently. That person doesn't care about so-called pure-blood families. Apart from teachers and friends, that person only cares about the development of the magical world—so that person will ruthlessly crush wizards who fail to recognize the situation.

He, Lucius Malfoy, had already done something not quite right, and he didn't want to become that kind of wizard completely.

After Peter's revelation, Lucius wondered what that diary could possibly be that caused such a huge uproar. Peter's appearance at Hogwarts and his capture were definitely partly due to that wretched diary.

This might explain why Ryan broke into Malfoy Manor in the middle of the night but didn't kill or set it on fire.

Not only was Malfoy Manor unharmed, possibly because Lucius was to sell off his possessions himself, but even the Daily Prophet's report made no mention of the diary's origin, only stating that it was a dark magic artifact left by Voldemort that entered Hodgson's school and was discovered by the lurking Peter.

Similarly, how Peter hid himself was never revealed.

Lucius suspected this might involve another secret, so Ryan instructed the Daily Prophet to obscure the matter.

Faced with his former underling who was completely unyielding, he pulled out his trump card—the bait of immediate benefits.

The wealth obtained by selling the entire Malfoy family's assets was used to entice these pure-blood wizards to join the Pure-Blood Wizarding Association.

These days, many seemingly glamorous pure-blood families are not actually that wealthy. Sometimes they have to sell some of their antiques and collectibles in order to live a decent life.

"I'd like to discuss a business deal with you all—" he began slowly, his deep voice indicating that it was a very important matter, causing everyone present to sit up straight and listen attentively.

The reason for this was that he was thinking about the process of selling his own possessions. It was too heartbreaking, so Lucius naturally couldn't speak in an impassioned or cheerful tone.

Diagon Alley, Daily Prophet.

Tonks had some free time today, so he was idly flipping through the newspaper.

Why is the truth always so elusive?

Fleur knew perfectly well what Tonks was asking, because of Sirius Black.

This man, whom everyone considered a murderer and a traitor, was actually a true hero, a hero who fought against Voldemort but was treated unjustly, while the Ministry of Magic allowed the real traitor to go unpunished for more than a decade.

It seems that Tonks Nymphadora is Sirius Black's niece. Fleur thought about it and concluded that the drastic changes happening around her made it impossible for Tonks to believe that the Auror profession could bring light and a future in the short term.

This idea won't last two days before it's replaced by normal thinking, making her believe in Auro's influence again, so there's nothing to persuade her of.

Furong decided to tease her: "Why don't you resign and come to the Daily Prophet to speak out for the people with me, and uphold justice in another way!"

Tonks actually fell into deep thought, which would have been almost impossible in the past. Clearly, if the traitorous identity of a close relative were to be reversed, it would have a huge impact.

"Are you planning to meet with the people from the Adventurers' Club?" Fleur stopped teasing her and got down to business: "The Adventurers' Club is now an internationally renowned wizarding organization. Recruiting new members is a very important matter for such a wizarding organization. I want to personally lead a group to Hogwarts to interview members who have already joined the Adventurers' Club and those who have just joined this time."

"Adventurers' Club—what a pity, when I was still in school, Ryan had no intention of forming a club at all." Getting back to the point, Tonks also snapped out of his reverie: "How many people were selected this year?"

"Including me, there were only five or six people in total."

"I heard the questions are the same as last year, so why are there so few people?"

"Not everyone can come up with viable ideas at a young age, because these ideas have the potential to change the magical world."

Fleur summoned someone to go to Hogwarts through the fireplace. Her interview was the only one that had been properly reported, and both the Headmaster and the Headmaster knew about it.

"This is the Adventurers' Club," Fleur said to Tonks as the group emerged from the fireplace where the Adventurers' Club's classroom was located.

Tonks looked around at the surroundings, then at the little puppets hopping around on the ground: "Just as the legends say, this scene is absolutely dreamlike for wizards."

She cradled little Doro in her hands, bringing him close to her face: "This little guy made a huge contribution during the defense of Hogwarts! Who would have thought!"

As the outside world delved deeper into the Adventurers' Club, and as the Hogwarts students themselves spread increasingly fantastical rumors about it, some inconsequential details were revealed, including those concerning the little puppets.

"Hey, are you here to hang out with Doro?"

"Yeah, hehehe, let's stick together."

Among the group was an alumnus who had graduated from Hogwarts long ago. This alumnus remarked with emotion, "I remember when I was in school, this was just an abandoned, dilapidated classroom. I never imagined that after three or five years, when I came back, this place would have become the dream place of countless wizards."

"He is a wizard, not a little wizard."

Because whether it's the Ministry of Magic, Diagon Alley, Britain, Europe, or the global wizarding world, there's practically no wizard who wouldn't want to join the Adventurers' Club.
