Chapter 203 The Boy Killer Jessica
Chapter 203 The Boy Killer Jessica
"Sister Jie! What brings you here?"
Where's the village chief? How has he been these days?
Jessica landed gracefully and dismounted, sunlight dancing on her golden hair.
"Grandpa is doing well! He was a bit busy today, so he couldn't come along. But you, you built a new house without telling me! I only found out from the workers in town!"
She smiled and patted Tong Hua on the shoulder, her gaze immediately drawn to the newly renovated dessert shop. "Wow! It's changed so much!"
"Terrifying!"
The foam squirrel jumped onto Tong Hua's shoulder and greeted Jessica and the fiery horse enthusiastically.
"Hehe, I was originally planning to wait until everything was tidied up before formally inviting everyone over." Tong Hua scratched his head sheepishly and stepped aside to let Jessica into the house for a tour.
Jessica walked briskly into the cabin, looking around at the spacious interior.
"Great! Good lighting and enough space. If you ask me, this area could be turned into an open baking area so customers can see the baking process. And we could put a few more tables by the window over there—"
As Jessica spoke, she tore a page from her notebook and quickly sketched a layout. The lines were smooth, the structure clear—she looked just like a professional designer.
"It's probably something like this style."
"Sister Jie, you're amazing!" Tong Hua exclaimed sincerely as she took the sketch.
"No problem at all!" Jessica patted his shoulder cheerfully, then turned and took a carefully wrapped gift box from the bag on the flaming horse's back. "Here, a housewarming gift! I specially chose this set of measuring cups; they're sturdy and durable!"
"Whoosh!" Two Celebi floated over curiously and gently touched the crystal measuring cup with their little hands.
Tong Hua opened the gift box with a pleasant surprise. Inside, there was not only a set of transparent measuring cups, but also various cute cookie molds.
"This is so timely! I was just planning to develop a few limited-edition Children's Day desserts."
"By the way, Sister Jie, are you free later? I'd like to ask you to try the new product for me."
"Great, great, of course!" Jessica rolled up her sleeves, revealing an eager expression, her starry eyes sparkling.
"Let's begin now!"
"By the way, what's the village chief busy with?"
Tong Hua stood in the kitchen, taking a moment from her busy schedule to ask.
"Oh, isn't today Children's Day? There's an event in the village, and Grandpa went to host it."
"I see." Tong Hua put the whipped cream into a piping bag, looking thoughtful. "The village chief is really a busy man. I remember that he presided over many events at the last spring festival."
"Hehe, yes." Jessica smiled slightly as she helped adjust the arrangement inside the room.
"Grandpa is always busy," Jessica said with a smile as she rearranged the tables and chairs by the window. "He has to handle everything personally whenever anything happens in the village."
Tong Hua skillfully piped the cream into flower shapes, seemingly lost in thought: "So, does the village chief particularly enjoy these lively occasions?"
"Rather than saying I like the hustle and bustle—" Jessica stopped what she was doing, her eyes softening, "it's more about cherishing every opportunity to get together with the villagers."
Grandpa often said that seeing everyone's smiles was his greatest happiness.
"La-bi~" Green Silavi nodded as if he understood, and gently pushed a tree fruit to Tong Hua's side.
Just then, the shop door was gently pushed open, and a small head peeked in: "Hello—um—are you open for business now?"
Tong Hua looked up and saw a shy little boy timidly gazing at the cookies on the counter.
"Of course!" he greeted with a smile. "Welcome to Happiness Dessert Shop! Today is Children's Day, and every child can get a free special cookie."
"Huh? Wait a minute, haven't I seen you somewhere before?"
Tong Hua carefully examined the little boy's face, and the more she looked, the more familiar the face seemed.
"Hey!"
Suddenly, a single ovum floated out from behind the boy.
Upon seeing the little guy, Tong Hua instantly remembered the identity of the boy in front of her.
"You're the one from the cooking competition at the last spring festival, the MasterChef Junior, right?"
"Cooking Master Boy?"
The little boy tilted his head, not understanding what Tong Hua meant.
"Oh, it's nothing. Long time no see, come in."
Tong Hua beckoned the little boy into the house, while Jessica also looked towards the door.
"Oh, you're a child from the village. Don't stand outside, come in."
The little boy walked shyly into the dessert shop, and was immediately captivated by Jessica's radiant smile.
"What's wrong? Is there something stuck to my face?" Jessica touched her face and asked, somewhat puzzled.
The little boy blushed instantly, lowered his head, and dared not move.
"Don't be nervous, come on, I just baked a tray of cookies. Let's eat together!"
Tong Hua picked up a few freshly baked Pikachu-shaped cookies from the baking tray; their golden color and enticing aroma filled the air. He carefully arranged the cookies on a plate and handed them to the little boy.
"Eeyo!" The single oocyte curiously approached the plate, its round body swaying gently.
Jessica considerately pulled up a chair: "Sit here and eat. Would you like some tree sap?"
The little boy carefully took the cookie, took a small bite, and his eyes immediately lit up: "Yay, delicious!"
"It's good as long as it tastes good." Jessica smiled and handed over a glass of chilled tree juice. "This is Xiaotong's cooking. It would be terrible if it didn't taste good."
If anyone thinks that Xiaotong's cooking doesn't taste good, then they are probably sick, and it must be due to a disorder of their sense of taste!
'
The little boy took the cup, sipped it slowly, and the blush on his face gradually faded.
"Hey~"
The single ovum also tasted some, then floated to the little boy's shoulder and made a satisfied sound.
"Speaking of which, did you come here specifically to buy some pastries today?" Tong Hua asked gently as she tidied up the baking trays.
The little boy didn't answer, but just secretly glanced at Jessica beside him.
Fortunately, Jessica was busy eating the cookies Tong Hua had made and didn't notice the little boy's gaze on her.
Upon witnessing this scene, Tong Hua instantly understood everything. It seemed that yet another young man experiencing his first love had been captivated by Jessica's charm.
Tong Hua couldn't help but chuckle, recalling how she had been attracted to Jessica's lively and cheerful personality when they first met.
After a while, the little boy paid for some snacks and left.
As she was leaving, Jessica knelt down, looked him in the eye, and smiled as she personally handed him the bag.
That smile was like a gentle bullet, striking the softest spot in the little boy's heart. His fingertips trembled slightly as he took the bag, and even his ears turned bright red.
He whispered "Thank you, sister," and ran out of the store without looking back, the single ovum floating frantically behind him.
"What a lovely child," Jessica said with a smile, watching his departing figure.
While washing the measuring cup, Tong Hua joked, "Is this the power of a heartthrob?"
"Come on, don't give me that!" Jessica glared at him reproachfully, but a smile played on her lips.
"By the way, Xiaotong, didn't you tell me before that you wanted to start trying to brew wine?"
It's summer now, almost the perfect time for brewing wine.
"Brewing wine—"
Upon hearing this, Tong Hua put down the measuring cup in her hand.
"It seems like it really is time to give it a try —"
Expanding the ranch's business would be a good idea.
With that in mind, Fairy Tale immediately decided to try brewing wine!
