Douluo Continent: The Underworld Emperor Halosa Lets Three Fly
Chapter 51 Reaction, Yali Awakens
Halosa hovered high in the sky, like a demon god controlling a storm, doing his utmost to maintain the delivery and compression of the powder. Fine beads of sweat appeared on his forehead, a tremendous test of his mental control.
Finally, after consuming an immeasurable amount of undead skull powder, a huge, grayish-white "bone powder sphere" with a diameter of over 100 meters took shape! It was like a giant cocoon, enveloping the entire black seawater lake.
On the surface of the giant bone powder sphere, the marks of the energy storm were clearly visible, rippling and undulating like water, while a deep, thunderous roar emanated from within. But at least, it had successfully isolated most of the violent energy from leaking out! The tremors in the God Realm of Rebirth finally subsided, and those minute spatial cracks began to slowly repair themselves under the God Realm's inherent healing power.
Harosa let out a long sigh, his face pale. He maintained monitoring and energy input on the bone powder sphere to ensure its stability. Looking at the enormous gray-white sphere that had been barely sealed off after consuming a massive amount of "resources," he felt a sense of helplessness.
To be honest, his "Rebirth God Realm" is currently just a special small world that can support his divine status and has initially possessed independent laws; it is still far from being a true "God Realm." Its spatial strength and the stability of its laws are far from sufficient to directly withstand the torment of a God-King level power.
"We can only wait." Harosa sat cross-legged atop the enormous gray-white bone powder sphere, staring at it with a solemn expression.
Although the internal energy conflict has been temporarily suppressed and isolated, it has not been quelled.
The two god-king-level primal forces of destruction and life are colliding and merging fiercely within it. What will ultimately result? Will it be a complete annihilation and explosion, or... an unexpected change? He couldn't be sure.
All he can do now is stay here, closely monitor the state of the bone powder sphere, and be ready to deal with any possible changes. At the same time, he also hopes that the core of that violent conflict can give birth to the "devouring and transformation" power he needs.
Harosa sat cross-legged atop the enormous gray-white sphere of bone powder, continuously manipulating the undead skeletons to shatter and gather, replenishing the powder layer that was constantly being consumed by internal energy conflicts.
He wasn't really sure himself.
He didn't know how the fragments of destruction and the fragments of life interacted under specific conditions to form the black seawater with its devouring properties.
What he's doing now is simply and crudely putting them back together, hoping that the special environment of the realm of the dead will give birth to something similar again.
"There was already black seawater as a 'medium'... Now that it's being forcibly stuffed back in, it should... move in that direction, right?" Harosa could only speculate like this, with a hint of uncertainty.
He noticed that although bone meal was continuously replenished, the huge grayish-white sphere did not increase in size significantly. This indicated that the internal energy conflict was extremely intense, and the rate at which bone meal was consumed was basically in line with the rate at which it was replenished!
Having mastered the process of pulling and crushing undead skeletons, Harosa's energy consumption decreased somewhat. To ensure an ample supply of bone powder, he activated his deep, grey-black Netherworld Rebirth Domain with a thought!
Twelve undead spirit knights, clad in ferocious bone armor and radiating terrifying quasi-god-level pressure, solidified within the domain!
"Go, collect the remains and bring them here!" Harosa commanded succinctly. Although the Realm of Rebirth was not particularly vast, the efficiency of guiding it with his divine sense alone was ultimately limited, and there were many places that his divine sense could not reach.
The twelve undead knights received the order and immediately transformed into twelve streaks of gray-black light, rushing off in different directions to transport the skeletons from further away.
The instant the Netherworld Rebirth Domain opened, an intensely dense aura of death spread out like a chilling tide. Yali, who had been silently hovering not far from Harossa, unconscious, suddenly shuddered!
"Ugh..." A suppressed, painful groan escaped her lips.
Harosa was immediately drawn to the commotion and glanced over: "Hmm? Is it being stimulated by the domain and about to wake up?"
If you count the time, it has indeed been several months since Yali was kidnapped and forced into a coma.
Yali's thick, curled eyelashes, like butterfly wings, trembled violently a few times, as if trying to break free from their heavy constraints.
Her smooth forehead furrowed slightly, her brows forming a shallow "川" shape, revealing a strong sense of discomfort. Her cheeks, already pale from unconsciousness, were now completely bloodless, and her tightly pressed lips had lost their usual moisture.
Her eyelids struggled, finally slowly opening a crack to reveal eyes as pure as crystal. But at that moment, those beautiful eyes were filled with confusion and vacancy; the pupils seemed unfocused, staring blankly at the gray sky.
Yali floated silently for a very long time. A severe headache and a dizzying, stabbing sensation, as if her soul were being torn apart, washed over her like a tidal wave. She instinctively tried to raise her hand to rub her forehead, but found her body limp and even moving a finger was extremely difficult.
After a long while, her consciousness slowly began to turn again, like a rusty gear. She turned her eyes and began to laboriously survey her surroundings.
The sky was a hazy gray, thick with a thin, deathly mist. As far as the eye could see, the outlines of huge, strangely shaped, pale skeletons could be seen disappearing into the mist.
The air was filled with an indescribable, chilling atmosphere, a stark contrast to the familiar environment brimming with life and light.
A strong sense of unease and extreme unfamiliarity instantly gripped Yali's heart.
"Where...is this?" she murmured to herself, a terrible premonition creeping over her like cold vines, tightening ever tighter.
She instinctively wanted to use her mental energy to investigate, but felt as if her sea of consciousness was a parched desert, her mental energy completely depleted and unable to be mobilized at all. This made her even more panicked.
Because she was currently lying flat and floating in the air, while Harosa was sitting cross-legged a little above her head, intently staring at the huge bone powder sphere, and because she was mentally exhausted and unable to perceive anything, Yali had not yet noticed Harosa's presence.
This eerie environment was filled with a dense aura of death, like a heavy shackle. Yali felt her soul power recovering extremely slowly, as if it were being blocked by an invisible, viscous substance.
Even though she could sense that the surrounding天地元力 (heaven and earth energy) was exceptionally rich, the omnipresent yin and death energy was like a leech clinging to her bones, making it impossible for her to effectively absorb and transform the energy, let alone get rid of its influence.
