Chapter 569-567: The Vanished Horcrux

Chapter 569-567: The Vanished Horcrux

"Fireballs—"

Ron looked on with a hint of envy.

Their whispers were quickly drowned out by the sound of the athletes entering the stadium.

Sheen easily noticed Bruce, who even winked at her from the stands.

And he mouthed the words.

"Look to my right—"

With his binoculars in hand, Sheen easily spotted Leon next to Bruce.

He stood up straight, looking very elegant.

"Hufflepuff is going to have a big win."

Bruce mouthed, "It's such a shame Ravenclaw ran into us."

"The match has begun, and the biggest highlight of this match is the two Seeker rookies: Cedric from Hufflepuff and Cho Chang from Ravenclaw—my goodness, she's absolutely gorgeous—"

Lee Jordan provided passionate commentary.

"Jordan, can you tell us about the game?"

Professor McGonagall's voice broke in.

"No problem, Professor, could you give me some background information? By the way, this young lady is still single—"

"Jordan!"

"Okay, okay, now Hufflepuff has the ball, Hufflepuff's Bruce is ready to shoot—goal! Hufflepuff gets ten points!"

On the stands, Sheen unusually observed the wizards' movements closely.

Suddenly, a loud voice came from his magic hand mirror.

"Piece of cake, piece of cake—oh, dear little Green, if you're going to say the reason you're not playing is because I'm here, then I can't believe you anymore—just watch, Hufflepuff is going to have a big win!"

It was Bruce, the senior student; he had secretly used the magic hand mirror for a while.

Half an hour later.

"Let's congratulate Ravenclaw!"

Ms. Hodge's whistle blew, and Bruce turned around in the air and returned to the ground dejectedly.

All the Ravenclaw players hugged each other, and Bruce just looked at them pitifully.

"Getting discouraged at the first sign of setback —"

Leon criticized him without any politeness.

"Whose side are you on?!"

Bruce rarely gets angry.

"It's not you anyway."

Leon shook his head.

"Merlin's itching powder—this is the Seeker's game! Even though we're leading Ravenclaw by so many points—"

Bruce said dejectedly.

"Just a little bit short."

Leon picked up his broom.

In fact, although Ravenclaw won the Golden Snitch, their point difference with Hufflepuff was not widened.

Hufflepuff's newest member, Bruce, and Leon worked together seamlessly, at one point leading Ravenclaw by ninety points.

Unfortunately, Cedric ultimately lost to Cho.

"Looks like we won't be seeing Green on the court."

Bruce muttered to himself.

"uncertain."

Leon said.

Then he put on a smile and looked at the little wizard who was walking towards him.

Sheehan knew long ago that Ravenclaw would beat Hufflepuff.

But unexpectedly, two senior students who appeared out of nowhere almost rewrote the ending.

If the match hadn't ended quickly enough, Ravenclaw might have caught the Golden Snitch but still lost the match.

"Look what I brought!"

Bruce seemed to have regained his energy. He took out an exquisitely packaged candy box from his pocket. "Pineapple preserves—I'll let you in on a secret, they'll work wonders on Professor Slughorn."

November is almost over, and the weather is getting colder and colder.

Heavy snow fell on the castle and the grounds.

The house-elves in the kitchen were busy preparing a variety of hot stews and sweet puddings.

It seemed to be just another ordinary evening. As usual, Sheen practiced until he was exhausted before heading to the auditorium for dinner.

But along the way, news that Sheen hadn't expected arrived.

He quickly went outside the castle, then leaned against a beech tree and began to examine Little Pettigrew's memories.

And so, in the distant Little Hangton Riddle, as if a pair of eyes had appeared out of nowhere, they began to gaze upon what had happened the night before: "There's still some in the bottle, Master. If you're still hungry, have a little more."

"Wait a while."

Another voice said.

This was also a man, but his voice was strangely high-pitched and as cold and piercing as a biting wind.

"Move me to the fireside, worm tail. I still need to eat tonight. I'm exhausted from this journey."

"Master, may I ask how long we'll be staying here?"

"You're questioning your master's decision? You idiot!!"

It was another man's voice, sounding both harsh and devout.

The video ends here.

Sheen frowned.

Peter found Voldemort.

Before Sirius, before Lupin.

It was as if he had antennae on his head that said "Voldemort, come quick!" He found Voldemort in less than a month.

Moreover, someone else appeared beside Voldemort—

Who is he?

Sheen then looked into his more distant memories: "That snake, it's coming closer again, Master—"

"Let it go."

"Oh, I'm going right now—to get away from you, you bastard!"

Then Sheen saw it: bloodshot eyes, a pale face without a nose.

It stared at Little Pettigrew and gave a chilling smile.

Little Pettigrew was so frightened that he kept trembling.

A few seconds later.

Sheen raised the magic hand mirror.

"Mr. Lupin, Mr. Sirius."

Sheen spoke to the mirror, and two faces immediately appeared above it.

"Dear Mr. Green."

Sirius's voice was weak and listless.

He didn't look very good; his hair was messy, his robe was torn, and there were several holes burned in it.

A searching look appeared in Sheen's eyes.

"We just fought off a few fire dragons that were taking a break, Mr. Grimm—this forest really has everything—"

Lupin looked even more disheveled; one of his eyebrows had been burned off, and he was panting heavily. "To be honest, sir, this forest is too big to find someone who is deliberately hiding—"

"Don't talk such discouraging things, old friend."

Sirius patted Lupin on the shoulder, kicking up a cloud of dust, and then coughed.

Sheen listened to their conversation without interrupting.

"Sir, what can I do for you?"

"He seems to be catching his breath," Sirius asked.

"Nagini's whereabouts have been found. Next Saturday, both he and I will arrive in Little Hangleton."

Sheen said.

Behind the mirror, the two people's eyes became noticeably sharper.

"Please do not travel to Little Hangleton now."

Sheen added.

"As you wish."

"As you wish."

The video feed was cut off.

Night fell at this moment, the sky was dark blue and deep, with a few birds occasionally flying by.

Sheen remained silent for a long time, carefully examining the images in his mind.

Nagini, it wasn't taken by Voldemort.

Was it intentional or accidental?

"He remains cunning—be careful—seventh—"

This phrase kept echoing in Sheen's mind.

He let out a long breath.

In any case, the fact that Ms. Nagini wasn't turned into a Horcrux gives Sheen more room to maneuver.

As a curse that transforms the soul, very few people can break the Blood Curse.

But Sheen happens to have a deep understanding of the soul.

He himself can freely transform into an animal at the border.

Sheen was fairly confident that he could bring Nagini back.

As for Voldemort—and his other suddenly appearing servant—

Sheen couldn't see his face clearly.

He always wore a hood, only revealing his shadowy eyes.

And so, just as Sheen had predicted, Voldemort remained cunning.

Even though he is just a wandering spirit, he still has a considerable number of choices.

He could choose anyone who passed by, and if they weren't wizards, Voldemort could control them even more easily.

It's less that Peter found Voldemort, and more that Voldemort found him.

Otherwise, how could someone who just plunges into the forest possibly have the coincidence of discovering their former master?

Sheehan believed that the reason Voldemort had been wandering in the forest for so long was because he needed a wizard.

Yes, a wizard.

Voldemort looked down on Muggles and never even considered taking them as servants.

Otherwise, given his ability to bewitch Quirrell, it would be very difficult for him not to bewitch a passing Muggle.

Especially after Sheen confirmed that magic originated from the wizard's soul.

Voldemort certainly looked down on Muggles, but that was only under normal circumstances. Now that Voldemort was pushed to the limit, Sheehan believed that he had once again lowered his already non-existent bottom line.

With servants, Voldemort's next task became far too easy.

The composition of the regeneration potion is not complicated.

Father’s bones, servant’s flesh, enemy’s blood.

If Voldemort's target wasn't Harry, this would have been too easy to do.

Not to mention that Sheen had absolutely no idea whether Voldemort had any other resurrection magic.

Voldemort went further than anyone else on the path to immortality.

Even more important than that are Voldemort's Horcruxes.

What will he choose?

Sheen didn't want to face the unknown.

So Peter returned to Voldemort's side.

As for whether Sheen can stop Voldemort from creating Horcruxes?

Theoretically, it is possible.

But what if it fails?

Voldemort appeared and found Peter.

But before that, Sheen clearly saw him find another servant.

Has he already created a Horcrux?

Will my appearance alert the enemy?

If they fail, and Voldemort goes into hiding, will they have to constantly be on guard against a venomous snake lurking in the shadows?

The night grew deeper and deeper.

Sheen knew that if he were determined to find the last Horcrux, he would be able to completely destroy Voldemort.

He always has a last resort.

He looked at the panel:

【Soul Extraction (Special Enhancement): Master Level (292/?)】

On Friday, Sheen had a Defense Against the Dark Arts class and a Potions class.

Interestingly, this was the first time they were attending both courses since the professors changed.

What cheered Sheehan slightly was that he would have a private lesson from Headmaster Dumbledore tomorrow.

This eased the somber mood he had been carrying for the past few days.

"Come in."

"Outside the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom," Professor Snape said.

As he entered the classroom, Sheen carefully examined everything.

Professor Snape had already left his mark on this classroom.

The curtains were drawn tightly, and the only light was from the faint glow of the candle, making the room even dimmer than usual.

The walls were covered with pictures that weren't there before; many of them depicted people suffering, gruesome wounds, and bizarre, distorted images.

A part of the body that is curved.

After the Ravenclaws and Gryffindors sat down, no one spoke; they all turned to stare at the eerie and terrifying pictures on the wall.

"I haven't told you to bring out the books yet."

Snape said, closing the classroom door and walking behind the podium to face the whole class.

Hermione quickly threw her copy of "Encountering the Faceless Monster" back into her bag and stuffed it under the chair.

"I have something to say to you, and I hope you will pay close attention."

His dark eyes swept over the upturned faces, lingering on Sheehan's face a little longer than the others.

"By now, you've probably had four different teachers for this course. Needless to say, each of them has their own teaching style and focus. In this chaotic situation, I'll question whether you can keep up with my course, because what I'm going to teach will be much more advanced."

Snape stepped down from the podium and walked around the classroom, speaking in a low voice. The students craned their necks to see him.

"Dark magic,"

Snape said, "They are a variety of things, a diverse array, ever-changing and endless. To fight them is like fighting a multi-headed monster. As soon as you cut off one head, a new one appears, more ferocious and cunning than the first."

What you are facing is something unpredictable and indestructible.

Sheen seemed to be deep in thought.

This is also why he was cautious in dealing with Voldemort.

Voldemort practically lived his life as a dark magician.

"Therefore, your defenses,"

Snape raised his voice slightly and said, "It must also be as flexible and innovative as the dark magic you need to deal with. These drawings,"

As he walked, he pointed to several of the paintings, saying, "They vividly depict the circumstances of the victims, for example, those who were cursed with the Cruciatus Curse."

He pointed at a witch who was clearly screaming in pain.

"I felt the Dementor's kiss—"

"6

A male wizard huddled in a corner, his eyes vacant.

"Or be harmed by a corpse."

A pool of blood on the ground.

Professor Snape walked around to the other side of the classroom and toward the podium, his black robes swaying behind him, and once again all the students' eyes followed him.

"—I imagine you are still quite unfamiliar with the use of the Silent Spell. What are the benefits of the Silent Spell?"

Hermione immediately raised her hand.

Snape calmly scanned the class and saw that there was no other choice, including a certain young wizard.

He's visibly become more diligent these past few days, and he's often lost in thought.

So Snape said curtly, "Very well—Miss Granger?"

"Your opponent has no idea what kind of magic you're planning to use."

Hermione said, "That gives you a momentary advantage."

"This answer was copied verbatim from 'Standard Spells, Level 6'."

"That's mostly true," Snape said dismissively, while Malfoy scoffed from the corner. "Yes, not saying the incantation aloud can have a surprise effect."

Of course, not all wizards can do this. It requires a great deal of focus and willpower, and some people…

His gaze lingered on Harry's face. "No."

Harry lowered his eyes, extremely agitated.

"Green!"

Snape said.
