Chapter 289 Giving Bruce a Green Hat

The morning sunlight streamed through the curtains into the kitchen, where Bruce had been busy for half an hour preparing a hearty breakfast. Fried eggs, bacon, pancakes, and fresh juice were neatly arranged on the table.

Xiao Xian walked into the dining room in his bathrobe, still looking a little sleepy. He exchanged a glance with Bruce, who nodded respectfully in response.

Selena arrived shortly after, her elegant figure like a rose blooming in the morning light. She wore a light white silk nightgown, her long, slightly curled hair cascading over her shoulders, exuding a captivating charm.

Bruce smiled as he watched Selena and Xiao Xian sit down, then respectfully stepped aside.

"That's right," Bruce said excitedly. "I long to be more environmentally friendly and greener."

Selena's lips curled into a sly smile: "How about I post a tweet with Bin on Twitter?"

Bruce frowned slightly, looking somewhat conflicted: "Wouldn't it be bad for the public to know that I've been cheated on? It's not that I don't like it, but I'm worried it will affect the company's stock price."

Selena chuckled softly. "Then we won't make it so obvious, will we?"

Bruce's eyes lit up, and he exclaimed with delight, "That's a great idea!"

Selena took out her phone and snapped a picture of herself and Xiao Xian smiling as they ate breakfast together. In the photo, Xiao Xian and Selena acted quite intimately, and an unsuspecting person would instinctively assume they were a couple.

"Breakfast time. Thanks to my new assistant, Bin, for his hard work last night. Life is better because of you." Selena posted the photo in her tweet, checked it carefully, and then nodded in satisfaction.

The three of them stood together, and Bruce took the photo with his phone. In the photo, Selena stood in the middle, very close to Xiao Xian, smiling at the camera, while Bruce stood to the side, a distance away from Selena, with a happy smile on his face.

Bruce took the phone and began editing his tweet. He typed on the screen: "As Selena's husband, I sincerely thank my new assistant, Bin, for his hard work last night." Then he attached the photo.

After breakfast, Bruce began clearing the table, while Selena and Xiao Xian occasionally tried to make things difficult for him. Just then, Harley walked into the dining room carrying a package.

Selena took the package, walked up to Bruce, and said with a smile, "Honey, this is a gift from Ah Bin and me for you."

Bruce's face lit up with surprise as he took the package, his heart filled with anticipation. He carefully opened it; inside was a green hat. He looked at Selena and Xiao Xian with some confusion and asked, "Why did you suddenly buy me this?"

Selena and Xiao Xian exchanged a smile, and Xiao Xian explained, "In Eastern culture, a green hat has a special meaning. The phrase 'wearing a green hat' is used to describe a man whose wife has an affair, and the husband is called 'the one wearing a green hat.'"
