Chapter 300 Arthur: Xiao Xianren is alright.

Mera took Selena back to her room and gently settled her on the soft bed. Seeing that Selena was safe and sound, Xiao Xian used magic to open a portal and returned to the inn outside the palace.

Soon after, Aquaman Arthur, accompanied by his guards, found Xiao Xian. Arthur waved his hand, ordering the guards to stand guard outside the door, and then entered Xiao Xian's room alone.

Xiao Xian sensed Arthur's anger and pressure, and feigned fear.

"Okay, I'll try to persuade Selena. But it's not something I can resolve on my own; Selena has to let go of her resentment first."

Arthur released Xiao Xian, nodded, and his expression softened slightly: "Don't worry, I'll work with you to figure something out. Now, go to Mera's room in the palace and take good care of Selena."

Xiao Xian looked at Arthur and said, "Me? Going to Mera's room in the palace isn't really appropriate, is it? It's a bit inappropriate for a human male to go to the Queen of Atlantis's room, isn't it?"

Arthur laughed and looked at Xiao Xian with disdain, saying, "You? A low-quality human male? Don't worry, Mera hates humans. Without me giving you extra opportunities, you have no chance of winning Mera over, let alone having any scandals."

Xiao Xian shrugged and said, "Then I'll go."

Next, led by Neptune, Xiao Xian went to Mera's room.

Reaching Mera's door, Arthur stopped, took a deep breath, as if to encourage himself. Xiao Xian stood quietly to the side, his gaze curiously surveying their surroundings.

A moment later, as if he had mentally prepared himself, Arthur slowly knocked on the door. After a moment, the door slowly opened, and Xiao Xian walked into the room and found Selena lying on the bed, unconscious and pale.

Mera stood by the bed, coldly staring at Arthur and Xiao Xian, her eyes filled with obvious disgust and contempt: "How dare you bring such a lowly, filthy human male into my bedroom?"

Arthur gave an awkward laugh, trying to ease the tension: "Having Xiao Xian come over to help take care of Selena is for the sake of the bigger picture."

Mera snorted coldly after hearing this. Although she seemed to reluctantly accept the statement, her eyes remained icy: "Ah Bin can stay, but you must get out."

Arthur looked at Mera with a hint of helplessness: "There are outsiders here, can't you give me some face?"

Mera retorted without hesitation, "Why should I give you face? You're getting more and more disgusting. Get out of my room."

Arthur lowered his head helplessly, knowing he couldn't change Mera's decision, and could only leave Mera's room in silence.

After Aquaman left, Mera's attitude changed immediately. She went from being icy and aloof to extremely alluring, slowly walking up to Xiao Xian, her eyes filled with desire and seduction: "There's still time. Let's continue what we haven't finished."

Xiao Xian looked at the alluring Mera and chuckled, teasing, "Weren't you referring to inferior human males?"

Mera immediately changed her attitude and hurriedly apologized: "That was just acting, you're much more noble than Arthur. As punishment, let me show you my remorse."

As she spoke, Mera slowly knelt down in front of Xiao Xian, seductively reaching her hand towards his waist, and casually licking her bright red lips, looking impatient.

Arthur stood at the door, his heart filled with worry. He knew Mera had a violent temper, and Xiao Xian was the kind of human male Mera hated most. If things went wrong, Mera might really kill or cripple Xiao Xian out of anger or disgust.

Arthur took a deep breath, pressed his ear against the door, and tried his best not to make a sound.

A low, muffled conversation came from inside the room, but Arthur couldn't make out what they were saying. He closed his eyes, trying to gauge their emotions from their tone. After a moment, there were no screams or sounds of fighting, only intermittent conversation.

Arthur breathed a slight sigh of relief. After confirming that the situation inside was relatively calm, Arthur quietly turned around and left through the doorway.

Selena was awakened by a slight tremor, her vision blurry and disorienting.

Selena blinked, her senses gradually returning. The dim light in the room created a tranquil atmosphere, and Xiao Xian's muscular figure vaguely appeared in her vision. She slowly turned her head and saw a scene that instantly ignited her anger.

Mera knelt by the bed, attentively serving Xiao Xian. Her head moved gently up and down, and Xiao Xian's fingers ran through Mera's waterfall of red hair, a look of enjoyment on his face.

Selena's eyes widened instantly. "Mera! What are you doing? I'm risking my life to deal with that disgusting muscleman, and you're just hiding behind and eating by yourself!"

"What do you mean by hiding in the back and eating all the food by yourself? I was the one who saved you from Aquaman, okay?" Mera's words were clearly filled with dissatisfaction.

Selena was speechless for a moment, stunned by these words. She glanced at Xiao Xian, wanting to confirm the truth. Seeing this, Xiao Xian smiled slightly, nodded, and said, "That's right. It was indeed Mera who rescued you from Aquaman."

Upon hearing Xiao Xian's confirmation, Selena felt a complex mix of emotions.

"I'm sorry, Mera," Selena's voice softened considerably. "I misunderstood you."

Mera smiled at Selena and said in a teasing tone, "You're welcome. We're all Xiao Xian's women, so we should help each other."

Upon hearing this, Xiao Xian looked at the two of them with satisfaction and nodded, "That's right, what you said makes a lot of sense."

Selena nodded, and slowly approached the two of them, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "I'll let you have your way from now on. Of course, there are some things I can't let go of, like Xiao Xian."

After saying that, Selena ran up to Xiao Xian, gave him a seductive look, licked her lips, and then knelt down.

Mera was staring at Arthur with displeasure, clearly very unhappy with his behavior. Selena, on the other hand, lay in Xiao Xian's arms, her face weary and her body trembling slightly, obviously not yet fully recovered from the battle just now.

Atlana took a deep breath, suppressing her doubts and curiosity; she knew this wasn't the time to dwell on these things. She slowly walked towards Selena, her tone tinged with apology and pleading.

Sensing Selena's anger, Arthur's expression changed drastically. A hint of panic and anger flashed in his eyes. Anyone who didn't know better would think that Selena and Bruce were truly in love.

Arthur was shocked upon hearing this, his face turning deathly pale. He quickly gestured to Xiao Xian with his eyes, hoping he could help calm Selena. Xiao Xian caught Arthur's plea for help, gently patted Selena's shoulder, and said softly, "Selena, it's best to be forgiving. Perhaps we can find a compromise."

Atlana quickly added, "Selena, please calm down and don't act impulsively. I understand your anger and dissatisfaction, but we will definitely find a way to make up for your losses. Arthur will also pay the price for his actions."

Selena's eyes were still blazing with anger, but her breathing gradually calmed. She knew she now had the upper hand and could make her demands. Her gaze shifted from Atlanna to Arthur, then back to Xiao Xian, finally taking a deep breath and calming herself down.

A ruthless glint flashed in Selena's eyes as she coldly looked at Arthur and said, "I want more than just an apology; I want you to pay a price that you'll regret for the rest of your life."

Arthur's face was grim, his voice low and tense: "What price?"

Selena glanced at Mera standing to the side, a cold smile playing on her lips: "Since you wanted to drug me and take advantage of me, why don't you let your wife Mera take the blame for your mistake? You let Mera stay with Abin for one night, and I'll agree to your apology and not tell Bruce about this."

Arthur's expression changed, a mixture of anger and a strange excitement welling up inside him. He turned to look at Mera, his gaze complex, a mixture of anticipation for her refusal and a desire for her acceptance.

Mera forcibly suppressed the urge to immediately agree. Instead, as they had agreed beforehand, she put on an angry and disdainful expression and said angrily, "Impossible, absolutely impossible! I am the Queen of Atlantis, and I will never allow this human male to touch me."

Arthur looked at Selena with anguish, hoping to find another way to atone for his mistake. Selena remained unmoved, coldly replying, "It must be this way, Arthur. You will pay for your actions."

Cornered and with no way out, Arthur turned pale and finally knelt down, kowtowing several times to Selena, his voice choked with sobs: "Selena, I beg you, let's find another way. I'm willing to pay any price."

At this moment, Xiao Xian stepped forward and said softly, "How about this, Selena. Although Arthur drugged you, he didn't succeed. In that case, Atlanna doesn't need to actually stay with me.
