Chapter 150 The Rainy Season in Castamere
Chapter 150 The Rainy Season in Castamere
What merit or ability do you possess?
The lord proudly declared that I must bow down and submit!
Different colors, but equally powerful, each displaying its unique abilities to determine who is superior.
The red lion fights the yellow lion, its claws and teeth sharp and merciless.
Every strike is deadly and ruthless; never forget that, son. Never forget that, son.
Oh, that's what he said, that's what the Lord of Castamere said.
However, today, during the rainy season, the rain weeps in the hall, but there is no one inside.
Today, however, during the rainy season, the rain weeps in the hall, but there is no soul within.
As the last heavy and cautionary note of "The Rainy Season in Castamere" fades away, its lingering resonance seems to still echo within the tent.

Euron's expression remained unchanged. He spoke calmly, his tone filled with pure admiration: "This is the piece of music I've heard the most times, and also the most powerful one I've ever heard."
Euron's tone shifted slightly, his gaze deepening, as he continued, "But it's far more than just a song. It's an invisible yet incredibly sharp sword."
Lord Tywin Lannister leaned forward almost imperceptibly, a faint hint of interest flashing in his piercingly cold eyes. He replied in a low voice, "Oh? What do you mean?"
Euron met his gaze and said frankly, "Fear itself is a weapon." He clearly articulated his insight, "This song, sung throughout the Seven Kingdoms, has made everyone in Westeros understand the Lannisters better. It silently proclaims a fact: anyone who intends to oppose Casterly Rock must first consider the fate of House Reyes, and—the end of Castermere—before taking action."
Lord Tywin's pale green eyes, seemingly inlaid with fragments of gold, were fixed intently on Euron. After listening to Euron's analysis, his face remained expressionless, simply replying, "I have dealt with quite a few of the Ironborn of the Iron Islands. They tend to believe more in the axe in their hands and are accustomed to speaking in the simplest and most direct way. You, Euron, are an exception." His tone was even. "It seems the future of the Iron Islands is destined to shock everyone in Westeros."
Euron didn't take these words as flattery that required humble denial; he simply accepted them and responded with equal sincerity, his gaze earnest and unwavering: "The greatness of the Lannister family today began with Lord Tywin's iron fist and foresight. And in my view, the future of the Lannisters will surely be determined by Ser Jaime Lannister's unparalleled bravery and courage," he paused, his gaze sweeping over Tyrion Lannister beside him, his tone unwavering, "and by Tyrion Lannister's extraordinary wit and intelligence, leading to an even more unshakeable greatness."
Upon hearing this, Prince Oberyn Martell burst into a loud laugh. He slammed his hand on the table and unabashedly teased, "Ha! Euron, your flattery is a bit too direct and too loud!"
Euron remained unmoved by the teasing. His expression was calm, but his tone was unusually firm: "This is not flattery, Oberyn Martell. I am simply stating the obvious facts."
Sitting to the side, Tyrion Lannister was slightly taken aback when Euron spoke so frankly and openly about his "wit and intelligence" in front of his father and the nobles of the Westerlands, even linking it to the "greatness" of his family. He looked up, his complex gaze a mixture of disbelief and a rare, publicly acknowledged emotion.
Lord Tywin's gaze swept over his two sons, and a rare, extremely complex expression flashed across his rock-solid face.
Euron was right. Jaime possessed unparalleled bravery and charisma, while Tyrion inherited all the Lannister wisdom and cunning. But fate is cruel; these excellent qualities could not all be found in one person at the same time.
The youngest son, who possessed the mind to support the family's future, unfortunately turned out to be the very thing he hated and was most unwilling to acknowledge.
Cersei Lannister's face turned extremely ugly upon hearing these words.
Euron's praise of Jaime was tolerable, but his blatant blaming of his beloved dwarf brother for being "wise" instead of his rightful eldest Lannister daughter was an immense humiliation.
He skipped over himself, as if he were invisible! Am I, Cersei, not beautiful, brave, and intelligent?!
Cersei scoffed, her tone sharp as she changed the subject, directing her anger elsewhere: "I don't care what the future holds for the Iron Islands. All I know is that since that incident, the fine wines of Greentree have become unpalatable!" She pushed away the wine glass in front of her with disgust. "These inferior substitutes are utterly repulsive."
Euron simply smiled calmly at this sudden outburst of anger and replied, "No need to regret it, Miss Cersei. Once we arrive at Harrenhal, we will naturally have the finest red wines from the Iron Islands. I guarantee that its unique and exquisite flavor will amaze you, and you won't be able to stop drinking it."
Cersei's lips curled into a scornful smile, and she scoffed, "Iron Isles wine? What a joke." Her gaze swept over Euron, filled with mockery. "I remember your Greyjoy family motto is 'Strike is better than toil.' Plunder and battle are your skills; I've never heard of an Ironborn knowing the delicate art of patiently brewing wine." She deliberately raised her voice, making sure everyone around could hear her, "You mean 'great surprise'? I hope it's not some sour water fit only for pig feed!"
Before Euron could respond, Princess Elia Martell, usually so gentle, frowned.
Cersei's contempt for Euron and his family, and her arrogance, angered Elia. Though her voice was soft, it was clear: "Ignorance is no excuse for arbitrary judgment, Lady Cersei. You haven't seen..."
"Just because you haven't heard of something doesn't mean it doesn't exist or is inferior." She slightly raised her chin and said, "I happen to have tasted 'Sea Monster' red wine, and its quality far surpasses that of the wines from Qingting Island."
This direct rebuttal caused Cersei's pretty face to flush red instantly, and anger flared in her blue eyes, on the verge of erupting.
Just as tensions were about to escalate, Prince Oberyn Martell let out a cold sneer, interjecting at the opportune moment to break the awkward silence: "Arguing about taste is the most boring thing in the world. Whether it's good or bad, the fairest judgment is by the tongue." As he spoke, his gaze shifted mockingly between Cersei and Elijah. "Coincidentally, I happen to have a bottle with me."
He then snapped his fingers and ordered his attendant, "Go, fetch that bottle of red wine with the golden sea monster emblem from my bag. Today, let these nobles of the West personally taste what the Iron Islands' pig swill is really like."
The servant returned quickly, carrying a bottle of wine.
This is no ordinary wine bottle; its unique shape suggests it was custom-made. The entire bottle is a deep, lustrous glass color, yet it reflects a dark golden sheen under light. On the bottle's surface, a ferocious and majestic golden sea monster is meticulously sculpted, its tentacles coiled, the details so lifelike it seems ready to burst from the bottle at any moment, exuding a powerful and mysterious beauty.
The overall packaging is extremely exquisite. From the cork to the label, every detail reveals extraordinary craftsmanship and a strong sense of artistry. It is more like a collectible work of art than a bottle of wine.
