Chapter 54 Ruthless Massacre
Chapter 54 Ruthless Massacre
At the bustling auction, everyone's attention was focused on Victor, and no one noticed Logan's movements.
As prices continued to rise, the number of people raising their bids gradually decreased.
Finally, Logan could clearly hear the auctioneer's final bid when the gavel fell—five million dollars!
A living, breathing person has been given a price that can be measured in money by these capitalists, just like the black slaves before the Civil War!
It's hard to imagine that this happened at a banquet in the civilized world!
Logan suppressed his rage, which spurred him to wreak havoc, and continued walking forward.
He had only taken a few steps when he saw Notland's figure. He was talking to someone on his phone, his loud voice making no attempt to suppress his joy.
His target seemed to be the private room next to Logan.
Logan's eyes narrowed, and before Nortland could notice him while he was engrossed in the phone call, he quickly slipped into the private room.
The private room was empty, but the lights were on, and there was even hot tea on the table, arranged as if to welcome guests.
Outside the door, Notland's footsteps drew closer.
Logan really wanted to tear this guy to pieces, but he still needed to find out Victor's location from him, so he had no choice but to hide in the bathroom in the private room, quickly closing the door and leaving only a tiny crack.
Through the crack, he saw Notland, heavily pregnant, enter the private room and sit leisurely on the sofa, occasionally raising her watch to check the time, seemingly waiting for someone.
A moment later, the door to the private room opened, and a wealthy white businessman walked in, holding the bidding paddle number 77—the very person who had just won the bid for Victor!
Notland quickly stood up and warmly greeted the wealthy businessman, "Congratulations, after tonight, that tiger is yours."
The wealthy businessman smiled. "Five million. I hope your tiger is worth the price."
"Don't worry, you'll be satisfied. That guy is a beast!"
Notland invited the wealthy businessman to sit down, and the two chatted on the sofa.
"If I remember correctly, this tiger has been working for you all along. Why would you suddenly want to sell it? A mutant with exceptional combat skills could have helped you deal with a lot of debtors who refuse to pay their debts."
The wealthy businessman sipped his tea and asked a question out of curiosity.
Notland chuckled, took out a cigar, lit it, and raised an eyebrow, saying, "Even if he chases after debts his whole life, can he get five million back for me? Besides, that guy has been slacking off lately, he can't even collect small debts of tens of thousands of dollars, he's useless now."
The wealthy businessman remained very curious and asked, puzzled, "How do you control these guys? These mutants don't seem to be so easily controlled."
He had seen many mutants, and many of them were his prisoners, but his impression of mutants was that they were unruly and difficult to control. It was rare to see someone like Notland who could command mutants.
"Hmph, would he dare disobey?"
Notland scoffed. "If it weren't for me, that guy would have starved to death long ago. He's just a rat trembling in a garbage can, afraid of being caught by the government. If I hadn't suddenly taken a liking to him and given him a loaf of bread and a job, how could he have survived this long? Forget ordering him around, even if I told him to die, he would have no choice but to die!"
He paused for a moment, then continued with a chuckle, "To be honest, if I didn't need the money urgently, I really wouldn't want to take action against this guy. A tiger guarding the house can indeed help me resolve a lot of troubles."
The wealthy businessman smiled and said, "Then I'm lucky to have caught up with your move. I do need that guy's heart right now."
"heart?"
Notland was taken aback for a moment, then burst into laughter, "Don't worry about that, that guy's heart is absolutely healthy, I guarantee he won't disappoint you!"
At this moment, Logan, who was hiding in the bathroom, could no longer hold back. His eyes were cold and murderous, and his gloomy face was filled with killing intent.
Peng!
He flung open the bathroom door and strode out.
"Mr. Logan, what are you doing here?"
When Notland saw Logan, he was stunned and didn't immediately notice the murderous intent in Logan's eyes.
"Is this your friend?"
The wealthy businessman was momentarily stunned, but then stood up warmly and politely extended his hand to Logan, instantly transforming from an executioner discussing human trafficking and organ sales into a refined gentleman who took the initiative to shake hands with people.
"Hello, I am..."
Before the wealthy merchant could finish speaking, a flash of white light suddenly appeared before his eyes.
Huff... Pfft!
The next second, a piece of hand was instantly severed, and blood spurted from the severed limb.
"ah!!!"
The intense stinging pain caused the wealthy businessman to scream in terror, his face contorted as he clutched the severed limb and retreated repeatedly, his roar piercing the ears.
Fortunately, the private room was very well soundproofed; unless a bomb exploded, no sound could get out.
Logan raised his steel claws again, and the howling head fell to the ground instantly, blood splattering everywhere. Drops of blood dripped continuously from the silvery-white steel claws.
He stared intently at the wealthy businessman's fallen, mangled body, and said coldly, "You are not worthy to shake my hand."
"You're a mutant!"
Nottland's eyes narrowed, and he quickly stood up, reached for the pistol at his waist, and raised his hand to pull the trigger at Logan's head.
Click!
The steel claw swept out, its cold light flashing past Notland, severing the pistol in two, its parts clattering to the ground.
"hiss!"
Notland gasped in horror, hastily dropping the broken pistol as he noticed Logan's icy gaze.
An unprecedented fear filled his heart.
He stared into Logan's eyes, his lower limbs trembling involuntarily, and he took a step back.
"What are you going to do?"
Notland was terrified; he was trembling all over.
Logan simply stared into his eyes, pressing closer without saying a word, but the murderous intent in his eyes said it all.
Notland's legs trembled, and his voice shook as he said, "No, we can talk this over. I can give you money, lots and lots of money. I own several casinos, and their annual revenue is astronomical. I can give you all of that."
Logan remained silent, then suddenly lunged forward, grabbed Nordland by the collar, and lifted him high into the air.
Notland flailed his limbs in mid-air in terror, but before he could beg for mercy, Logan slammed him against the coffee table beside him.
Peng!
The immense force instantly shattered the entire coffee table into pieces.
cough!
The tearing impact to his body caused Notland to cough up blood. He stared at Logan in terror, his mouth full of blood, and cried out in agony, "Killing me won't do you any good. You won't leave this auction house alive. Let me go, and I can give you money, lots and lots of money!"
"Your life is more important to me than money."
Logan stared coldly at him, then clenched his other fist, extended his sharp steel claws, and stabbed hard.
Click!
The sharp claws grazed almost to the side of Notland's face before stabbing viciously into the shattered coffee table.
Notland could clearly feel the cold glint of the steel claws, and the fear in his eyes intensified, but he dared not struggle any longer.
"Victor, where are you?"
Logan's voice was icy cold, and his gaze was stern.
"There's a warehouse on the fourteenth floor; all the auction items are there!"
The fear of impending death made Notland almost scream in response, then she pleaded, "I can help you get him out. The handover hasn't happened yet, he's still mine. I can pay the penalty for breach of contract, I can help you rescue him..."
Click!
Logan ignored his nonsense, pressed his fist against his chest, and extended his steel claws.
The sharp claws pierced his heart in an instant, and blood spurted out.
