Chapter 191 I am a church member

Qin Jin pulled out the Glock pistol from his waist, aimed at Marcus's flight path, and began to fire in bursts, the bullets whistling into the air.

Caught off guard, Marcus was hit by a series of bullets. While these ordinary bullets couldn't cause any real harm, they greatly hampered Marcus's movements.

Vampires aren't zombies; just because they can't be killed doesn't mean they're immune to pain!

Alessa understood immediately. Instead of using her usual sacred Gru Red Eagle revolver, she drew her spare pistol, her face tense, and fired as well.

Alessa's marksmanship was better than Qin Jin's, and she aimed her shots at his eyes, joints, mouth, and other vital parts, forcing Marcus to spin and dodge continuously, which brought his offensive to a standstill.

As soon as Qin Jin made his move, he was immediately caught by the demon werewolf and the headmistress.

The werewolf let out a low growl mixed with confusion and rage, its scarlet pupils sweeping over Qin Jin.

The headmistress, her withered lips opening and closing, actually uttered a human shout: "Thank you for your help, fellow believers! Quick! Shoot the holy runes on his body; the runes can weaken his demonic power!"

Demonic Source Power?! This level of understanding is just unbelievable!

He and Alessa kept firing, spraying bullets in rapid succession. Although they couldn't cause any real damage to his tough vampire skin, they were extremely insulting and disruptive.

"Despicable necromancer—"

Marcus was already enraged by his weakened strength, and being harassed by sniper shots only added fuel to the fire. He suddenly swatted away the chainsaw-wielding zombie that was attacking him with a claw, and let out a deafening roar at Qin Jin and Alessa!

In the instant it was distracted, it roared!

The demon werewolf seized the fleeting opportunity and suddenly burst forth, its speed doubling as fast as usual. Its massive fiery claws slammed into Marcus in an instant!

By the time Marcus reacted, it was too late. It could only spin its body and use the membranous wings on its back to block the blast—crack!

A dull, loud bang, accompanied by the cracking sound of bones shattering!

Marcus let out a painful roar, as if he had been hit by a speeding truck, and was shot backward like a cannonball, crashing heavily onto the ancient stone floor of the prayer hall!

The force was so great that it smashed a large hole through the solid floor slab!

The rubble and bricks fell downwards along with his body!

"Ugh—!" Marcus's roar came from downstairs, but it quickly faded away and then he fell silent.

It actually ran away!

"Chase!"

The dean, now a dried-up corpse demon, let out a shriek and leaped down through the hole first. Two tentacle deacons followed closely behind, wriggling their massive bodies and squeezing through the opening.

The werewolf lowered its head, glanced down through the hole, then turned and stared intently at Qin Jin. Its deep voice was like the grinding of rocks: "Who are you?"

Qin Jin's mind raced. Although he didn't know if the werewolf demon and the nuns shared the same understanding, he had no choice but to gamble. If he lost, he would act immediately: "Your Honor, I am a devout believer in the Lord. With the help of the Abbot and the nuns, I have come to do my utmost to help the monastery exorcise the demon!"

The werewolf's twisted face was expressionless, but its already limited hostility seemed to have completely subsided. Its simple mind seemed to have accepted the explanation, or rather, Qin Jin's aura matched what he said, which was consistent with the werewolf's understanding.

"Alright!" it growled. "Follow me! We mustn't let it hurt any more of our sisters!"

After saying that, its massive body leaped with extraordinary agility and jumped down into the hole.

Qin Jin walked to the edge of the hole and looked down. He saw a layer of smoke and dust below, but no sounds of fighting. The nuns must be searching for it.

Aresa tugged at Qin Jin's sleeve, a hint of inquiry in her grey-blue eyes.

Qin Jin lowered his voice: "Follow it. Strike when it's alone." Qin Jin paused, then added: "If I can't suppress my bloodlust after using my power, you must find a way to trap me and prevent me from eating people."

Aresa nodded, her little face showing no fear: "Okay."

Without further hesitation, the two jumped down through the hole one after the other.

The area downstairs was now a mess, with broken tables and chairs and claw marks covering the walls.

Marcus had vanished without a trace, leaving only the Matron and the deacons searching angrily, while the werewolf sniffed, trying to catch any lingering scent in the air.

"Split up and search! It's injured, it can't have gone far!" the demon werewolf growled, taking the lead and striding down a dark corridor, its heavy footsteps echoing through the silent monastery.

Qin Jin's eyes narrowed.

The opportunity is coming!

Qin Jin, Alessa, and the two zombies followed closely behind the werewolf demon, navigating the dimly lit corridor, but they didn't make a move—

The entire corridor was filled with nuns searching for Marcus; one would slip into a room, another would come out into the corridor, and the werewolf was never alone.

Since they had already waited so long, there was no rush. Qin Jin was extremely patient.

Just as the werewolf reached the stairs, a thought suddenly popped into Qin Jin's mind, and he immediately said, "Father, please wait a moment!"

The demon werewolf suddenly turned its head, its demonic blood surging within it, causing it to become uncontrollably irritable and easily angered, and black smoke billowed from its nostrils.

Qin Jin strode forward and pointed to the upper level they had come from: "That demon is so cunning, do you think it might have gone back?"

The werewolf pondered for a moment, then agreed with Qin Jin's observation that "it's the eye of the beholder," and growled, "That makes sense! Go up and take a look."

Having said that, its massive body turned around with extraordinary agility, and with heavy footsteps, it rushed once again toward the upper level where the prayer hall was located.

However, just as they stepped onto the upper corridor, at the other end of the stairs, the two butlers who had mutated into tentacle-like fleshy trees were also wriggling their enormous bodies and climbing up, and the two sides bumped into each other.

A deacon spoke in a muffled, hoarse voice, tinged with surprise: "Father! Ladies! You've come up too? We think that demon is very cunning, and we think it might—"

Qin Jin cursed inwardly, but immediately nodded in agreement: "Exactly! We share the same judgment as His Holiness the priest!"

The werewolf demon seemed satisfied with the consensus reached, and growled, "Split up and search! Don't let it catch its breath!"

With his plans disrupted, Qin Jin had no choice but to suppress his thoughts and pretend to search alongside them.

Just as they passed through half the corridor and approached the hole in the prayer hall—

Suddenly, a completely different sound came from downstairs!

No longer the roars and crashes of supernatural creatures, but the dense, crisp gunshots of human weapons!

The sound of gunfire exploded like popping beans, interspersed with angry roars and strange sounds of something being torn apart!

The demon werewolf abruptly stopped, listened intently, and after a moment, said in a low voice, "New blasphemers have broken in below—not many—and very weak."

It seemed to be able to sense the situation inside the entire monastery, and Qin Jin immediately realized that it was probably the latter two hunter teams that had broken in.

Suddenly, the werewolf's eyelids rolled back, and sulfurous flames danced in its eyes: "—Four more have arrived! Deacons, please go down immediately and clean up these scum who defile this sacred place!"

Upon hearing this, the two tentacle deacons immediately responded with hoarse voices. Their enormous insect bodies wriggled and they rushed down the stairs at high speed, making the stairs vibrate.

An opportunity seems to have arisen!

Qin Jin gripped the hilt of the Basmo Armor M-Sword at his waist, his face still bearing that lazy expression, but his arm was already subtly exerting force—

But just then, the werewolf suddenly turned around and looked at Qin Jin and Alessa: "The chaos down there is a bit unusual—I'm going down too! You two come with me!"

Having said that, it didn't give Qin Jin a chance to refuse and strode towards the stairwell.
