Naruto: Naruto's Uchiha girlfriend is too arrogant
Chapter 324 An Unexpected Encounter
In Naruto's apartment in Konoha Village.
Kakashi, who had been "persuaded" by Kushina with her signature punch, was currently having lunch with Naruto... and his family?
"What are you doing, Kakashi?"
Noticing the probing gaze from the silver-haired Jonin, Satsuki put down her chopsticks and asked coldly.
"It's nothing..."
Kakashi looked away, ignoring Satsuki's typical Uchiha-style coldness and his way of addressing him by his first name.
He was secretly wondering to himself why Satsuki could sit there so naturally, as if she were a member of Naruto's family. But upon closer inspection, it seemed to make sense.
Besides that... there was another entity that attracted his attention.
Kakashi's gaze shifted to the side, where a...creature? Seated elegantly was a meal laid out before it, identical to the one on the table, which it was enjoying with astonishing poise. It was a large, entirely blue dog—or rather, more like a wolf?
Kakashi was quite surprised. Where had Naruto found such a huge pet after only half a month?
When it raised its head, it was almost as tall as an adult. Even more striking were the two meticulously braided, cherry-pink...braids beside its ears?
There were just too many details to complain about, and Kakashi didn't know where to begin. However, he came to the same conclusion as Naruto: it was Naruto's summoning beast.
It certainly looks intimidating… Kakashi thought to himself. Considering that his own summoning beast was also a ninja dog, perhaps he could offer Naruto some guidance on training it in the future.
He observed the blue behemoth's behavior discreetly, noticing its unusually elegant manners while eating, as if it possessed an innate noble air.
The dishes on the table emitted an enticing aroma, the result of Naruto and Kushina's collaborative efforts. Although Kushina only tasted Naruto's cooking, a look of immense happiness and satisfaction would appear on her face every time she took a bite.
Kakashi's gaze lingered on the dining table, his mind filled with complex thoughts. He observed the mysterious creature named Zacian with curiosity, while occasionally glancing at Kushina, who had been reborn.
He was eager to know what kind of forbidden technique this was that could allow someone to return to the world in such a complete form—with warmth, color, and the ability to enjoy delicious food, almost indistinguishable from a true resurrection.
"Kakashi-sensei."
Naruto's sudden call interrupted Kakashi's thoughts.
"...Hmm? What's wrong, Naruto?"
Kakashi paused for a moment, then replied. In Team 7, Naruto was the student he needed the least guidance from, yet he always held him in the utmost respect.
"If only I could be like Mom..." Naruto's voice was serious, "Is there anyone you'd like to revive?"
"Not the kind of way that manipulates souls, but a true, real resurrection into this world, in the same manner as a living person. That forbidden technique... I'm almost there."
"Bang."
Kakashi's rice bowl fell uncontrollably onto the table with a crisp sound. His pupils contracted sharply, as if he had been struck by an invisible, heavy blow. However, he did not immediately give a positive answer.
Bringing the dead back to the world—this very idea challenges the common sense of this world. Aside from creating beings that are neither alive nor dead, like through the Impure World Reincarnation, Naruto is not opposed to breaking the boundary between life and death.
In Naruto's view, the boundary between life and death in this world is inherently distorted. While the ninja world does indeed have Shinigami (death gods) and Pure Lands, the souls of the dead are not subject to reincarnation. Instead, they remain forever in that void while unconscious.
Since the souls are destined to wander eternally in that dark and sunless place, why can't we let them return to the human world if we have the means?
"Naruto! You..."
These words immediately caught Kushina's attention. She looked at her son in surprise, her first instinct to warn him that such life-or-death ninjutsu should never be touched lightly!
Kushina had no doubt that Naruto could learn the technique. After all, her son was a genius who mastered the Flying Thunder God Technique even before Minato, and the sealing scroll was now in Naruto's hands. However, selfishness and reason clashed fiercely within her.
Based on her understanding of Minato, she knew that her husband, who adhered to the ninja code, would refuse to be resurrected, considering it a desecration of the dead.
But at the same time, deep down, Kushina also longed for the happiest scene—Minato was still there, and the two people she loved most in her life were by her side, continuing their unfinished life.
A silence fell over the dining table. Naruto knew perfectly well the inner struggle they were going through. He decided to give Kakashi some time to think things through.
After clearing the used dishes and utensils to the sink, Naruto turned around and said, "Kakashi-sensei...it's okay, take your time to think it over. Although the process might be a bit complicated, if it can make up for the regrets in my heart, it's all worth it."
Then, he looked at Kushina, his tone firm. "And Mom, no matter what you say, I won't give up. I will definitely bring Dad back into this world, and reunite you both."
"I'm going to train now. See you at our usual spot later, Zuo Yue."
Without waiting for their response, Naruto walked straight out of the apartment and began his daily training.
Strolling through the streets of Konoha, Naruto recalled the hesitant expressions on the two people's faces earlier. He knew what they were worried about; normally, anyone would be overjoyed to be able to unconditionally revive someone important.
However, most people in this world seem to have an inexplicable aversion to the idea of "resurrection," such as Naruto's father, Minato Namikaze. Although they all longed to reunite with their deceased loved ones, they maintained a deep-seated wariness of actions that violated the laws of nature.
Their thinking is probably that life is precious precisely because it has an end. Forcibly recalling the deceased from their final resting place not only disrupts their peace but is also a sign of disrespect...
But Naruto, who knew the truth about the Pure Land, genuinely felt that that hellish place was not worth staying in for long.
"...Oh no! I forgot to ask Kakashi-sensei who the Fifth Hokage was..."
Naruto suddenly realized he had missed a crucial point. Since construction on the Hokage Rock had begun, it meant the Jonin election was already in progress, and Kakashi must know who the new Hokage would be.
Could it be Jiraiya? Naruto wondered to himself, but based on his understanding of Jiraiya, that carefree and freedom-loving person shouldn't accept the position of Hokage.
Lost in thought, he unknowingly walked to the street corner...
"boom!"
"Ouch! Aren't you watching where you're going?!"
A clear, youthful voice rang out, jolting Naruto back to reality. Oh no, he bumped into someone!
"I'm so sorry! Are you alright...?"
Naruto quickly reached out to help the other person up, but when he saw the other person's face, he froze. The boy who had been bumped also showed the same shocked expression after seeing Naruto's attire.
Golden hair, deep blue eyes, and a face that bore an eight-tenths resemblance to Naruto. The boy wasn't wearing a ninja headband, only ordinary casual clothes. Seeing Naruto's stunned expression, he blurted out involuntarily.
".....dad?!"
