I Created a Sanctuary in Marvel

Chapter 191 Thor's Exile

Chapter 191 Thor's Exile

The third day has arrived.

At a temporary research facility in New Mexico.

Agent Coulson stood in front of the monitoring screen, watching the technicians attempt to move that damned hammer for the twenty-seventh time, with the same result as the previous twenty-six.

The heavy crane's hydraulic arm groaned under the strain, and the taut steel cables trembled slightly in the air.

The hammer remained motionless, as if it were rooted deep within the earth, fused with the core of the planet.

"Energy output has reached the safe limit!"

"A technician shouted."

"Stop work."

Coulson calmly gave the order.

He rubbed his temples, which were throbbing slightly.

"Pack the data and send it to headquarters. We need—a new approach."

In fact, they had tried all the conventional methods: robotic arms, electromagnetic levitation, sonic resonance, and even cautiously tried to scratch the edge of the hammer with a laser, but not a single mark was left.

That thing was so hard it didn't seem like a material.

When Nick Fury received the report at headquarters, a complex emotion flashed in his one eye.

In New York, Nick Fury's car stops at a street corner in an unassuming apartment building.

He got out of the car alone, his black trench coat swaying gently in the afternoon breeze. He looked up at the ordinary window on the third floor and took a deep breath.

Before he even reached the apartment door, the heavy solid wood door slid open silently, as if it had known he was coming all along.

Ten years have passed, and Fury has long been accustomed to this supernatural way of welcoming guests.

The door was open, meaning Ye Feng was willing to see him; the door was closed, meaning today was not the right time.

Simple and direct, consistent with the style of that mysterious being.

He breathed a sigh of relief; at least this trip wouldn't have been in vain.

Ye Feng sat on the sofa by the window, holding a white porcelain teacup in his hands.

An orange cat was curled up beside his legs, only lazily raising its eyes when it heard footsteps.

Nick.

"It's been three days, and you're only now thinking of coming to see me?"

Ye Feng didn't look up, but gently blew on the tea noodles.

"You know about that hammer."

"sit."

Ye Feng pointed to the single sofa opposite him.

"What would you like to drink? Tea? Or your usual instant coffee, although I've never understood why anyone would like that stuff."

"Tea is fine."

A tea set appeared out of thin air on the coffee table, the teapot tilted automatically, and amber liquid poured into bone china cups.

Fury took the teacup; the temperature was just right.

"I know the answer to the question you want to ask."

"Same as always, what price are you prepared to pay this time?"

Ye Feng finally put down his cup and looked calmly at Fury.

The trading pattern has become fixed over the years: Fury provides intelligence or resources, and Ye Feng advocates for Wanda and Pietro's interests.

The twin siblings were nominally still contracted agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but in reality, they were more like apprentices that Ye Feng had placed in the mortal world.

"Any conditions within my tolerance range."

Fury spoke cautiously.

When negotiating with God, one must be precise in one's words.

Ye Feng smiled, a hint of amusement in his smile: "Then let Wanda and Pietro decide."

"Young people always have something they want."

He paused, then got to the point: "That hammer is Mjolnir, the hammer of Thor from Norse mythology. Its owner was Thor, the prince of Asgard."

Fury narrowed his one eye slightly.

"I sensed the energy fluctuations of the Rainbow Bridge erupting in Jotunheim."

"This means that a conflict has broken out between Asgard and Jotunheim. I don't know the specific reasons, but based on the usual practices of the Asgardian royal family, it's probably because Thor acted on his own again."

Ye Feng continued.

"The same energy fluctuations occurred on Earth a day ago."

"Thor's hammer was thrown into Midgard by Odin himself, which is Earth. I suspect that Thor himself was also banished here, and his divine powers were likely sealed away."

Ye Feng picked up his teacup: "If anyone claims the hammer is his in the next few days, you'd better be careful to protect that person. If the prince of Asgard dies on Earth—you should know the consequences."

Fury's back was covered in cold sweat.

Carol Danvers' words from ten years ago echoed in his mind: "Earth is Asgard's territory in the Nine Realms."

This means that Thor is not only an alien prince, but also one of the rightful heirs to this territory.

Why was Thor banished?

"The mighty Thor wouldn't be thrown to Earth by his father for something so trivial."

Fury pressed for an answer.

"Odin is old."

"He has fought for thousands of years, and now he only wants peace. But Saul—that boy is 1,500 years old, yet his mind is still that of an impulsive teenager."

"He craves battle, craves glory, and longs to conquer new territories like his father did in his youth. Such an heir may not be mature enough in Odin's eyes."

Ye Feng said calmly, his tone carrying a sense of detachment that came from having seen through the passage of time.

Fury processed this information.

The family conflicts among the gods could potentially drag Earth into them.

"I see."

"Thank you for your answer. I will do my best to cooperate with Wanda and Pietro if they need anything."

He put down his teacup and stood up.

"Go."

As Fury left the apartment, the door closed silently behind him.

He stood in the stairwell and immediately pulled out his encrypted phone.

"Coulson, listen up."

"If a man claiming to be Thor tries to touch the hammer, do not stop him. Repeat, do not stop him."

And his safety must be ensured; this is the highest priority order.

His voice was fast and urgent.

There was a two-second silence on the other end of the phone: "Sir, you mean—Thor? The one from mythology?"

"That's it. Execute the order, Phil."

After hanging up the phone, Fury strode toward his car parked on the street corner.

He needs to immediately reassess the global threat level.

The Hulk's problem hasn't been fully resolved yet, and now there's another banished god.

In the apartment behind him, Ye Feng still stood by the window, his gaze sweeping across the city skyline, as if he could see that golden palace in the distant star field.

"Odin————"

Should we meet them?

He muttered to himself.

In this universe, Odin's lifespan is nearing its end. The weakening of the God-King will trigger a chain reaction: Hela's seal is loosening, and Surtur's crown awaits to be rekindled.

The risk is very high.

But the returns are also tempting.

Asgard's treasury holds the treasures of the Nine Realms: a branch of the World Tree, artifacts forged by the dwarves, and the wisdom of runes that Odin obtained by sacrificing his right eye.

The latter particularly interested Ye Feng; that rune magic system was a top-tier power system even in the multiverse.

If he can gain some insight from this, it might allow him to take another step forward on the path of the seventh sense.

The orange cat jumped onto the windowsill and rubbed against his hand.

"You also think we should go?"

"Let's wait and see. We'll talk about it after we've got a result regarding Thor's situation."

Ye Feng scratched the cat's chin.

In a small town in New Mexico, Saul, a clinic owner, wakes up to the smell of disinfectant.

An unfamiliar ceiling, unfamiliar lighting, an unfamiliar feeling of weakness.

He sat up abruptly, a simple action that made him dizzy.

His body had never felt so heavy; every muscle felt like it was filled with lead. He had to exert himself to breathe, and his heart was beating strangely and rapidly in his chest.

"You're awake!"

A woman's voice came from the doorway.

Saul turned his head and saw a brown-haired woman standing by the door, holding a medical record board in her hand.

"Where am I?!"

Puente Antica, New Mexico.

Thor frowned.

Fragments of memory gradually pieced together: the battle of Jotunheim, Heimdall's disobedience, his father's wrath, and then—the stripping of divine power? Exile?

"Where is Mjolnir?"

He blurted it out.

"Mjolnir?"

The woman repeated herself, confused.

"My hammer."

"I must find it."

Saul threw off the blanket and got out of bed, but stumbled when his feet touched the ground, his legs feeling incredibly weak.

"Hey, slow down!"

Jane supported him, and paused for a moment when she touched his arm.

The man's muscles were as hard as stone, but his body temperature was abnormally low.

"You just woke up, you need to rest."

"No time to rest!"

"Take me to the hammer."

Saul's voice was trembling; he could hear it himself.

Jane and Daisy exchanged a glance.

"All right."

"But first you have to tell me, who exactly are you? And why do you think your hammer is there?"

Jane sighed.

Thor straightened up: "I am Thor Odinson, the Thunder God of Asgard, the Guardian of the Nine Realms, for the glory of the Northern Gods!"

Daisy chuckled, then quickly covered her mouth.

Jane's expression was complex, a mixture of sympathy and doubt.

"Listen, Mr. Saul, whoever you think you are, you need to calm down now."

"If the hammer you're talking about is the one that fell in the storm yesterday—it's currently sealed off by government agencies, and ordinary people can't get in."

"Then take me to the blockade line."

"I need to confirm if that's Mjolnir."

Saul insisted.

In the end, Jane compromised.

Arriving at the temporary lockdown zone, Thor got out of the car before it had even come to a complete stop and headed straight for the quarantine area. He could feel Mjolnir calling to him from there.

"Sir, this is a restricted area. Please stop here."

An agent raised his hand to block his way.

"My hammer is inside."

"Let me through."

Thor tried to go around it.

Another agent joined them. Thor instinctively tried to push them away.

"Let me go! I am Thor, son of Odin!"

The tent flap was lifted, and Coulson stepped out.

As he watched the blond, burly man struggle, he recalled the bizarre phone call the bureau chief had made an hour earlier.

"Let him go."

Colson said.

The agents released their grip in confusion.

Thor shook them off, glaring at Coulson: "Who are you? Why did you take my hammer?"

"Phil Coulson, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D."

"You say that's your hammer? Prove it to me."

Colson said calmly.

Thor was stunned.

"Let me through."

"I can prove it as soon as I touch it."

3

Colson observed him.

"Come with me."

Coulson turned and walked into the quarantine zone.

Saul followed, and Jane and Daisy wanted to follow, but were politely stopped by the agents.

After passing through layers of guards, they arrived at the edge of the impact crater.

In the center of the pit, Mjolnir lay there quietly, its body gleaming with a cold metallic luster in the sunlight.

Thor rushed to the hammer, knelt on one knee, and gripped the handle with his right hand without hesitation.

Hold on tight.

Hard.

The hammer didn't budge.

Thor's smile froze.

He switched to using both hands, firmly planted himself in a horse stance, and his entire body muscles tensed to the point of trembling.

Veins bulged on his forehead, and his teeth were clenched so tightly they made a grinding sound.
