America's No. 1 financial conglomerate

Chapter 414: A New Beginning

Chapter 414: A New Beginning

In Nevada, "outsiders" not only refers to people moving in from outside, but also has another meaning: supporters of the donkey.

This involves a very interesting new term, which is also a topic that will inevitably be unavoidable in the top-level power struggles in the United States in the future: swing states.

"What came to mind?" Wenger asked Ernst.

Ernst responded directly, stating his expected outcome: "swing states."

Wenger frowned, while Karl-Heinz Weller looked bewildered, clearly having never heard of the term before.

Seeing this, Wenger explained, "In the 1996 election in which Richard Lamb sought re-election, a special political phenomenon occurred. The voting results in seven states were unusually close, with the difference between the two parties' votes remaining within 3%. The final vote count in these seven states directly determined the overall outcome of the election. It was based on this special situation that the media dubbed these seven states the 'swing states.'"

In the US presidential elections prior to 1996, whether it was Reagan, the old cowboy, Richard Lambton, or any other winner, almost every candidate who ultimately came to power won the election with an overwhelming majority of votes.

This overwhelming victory has been the norm in past US presidential elections, and it also indicates that the two parties are not yet that policy-divided.

However, the 1996 presidential election became a significant turning point, with seven variables emerging.

Nevada is one of these seven swing states.

Previously, Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina were Ironhide's red states.

Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania are staunchly blue states.

It all started with Loreton's rise to power; his policies caused a reversal of support in red and blue states.

Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, three traditionally blue states, are all located in the famous Rust Belt region of the United States, which is around the Great Lakes basin.

This region was historically the core of America's traditional heavy industry, and can be called the economic center and industrial heart of the United States.

Thanks to its developed heavy industry system, this region has fostered a large blue-collar worker class. They not only witnessed the glorious past of American industry but were also direct beneficiaries of Roosevelt's policies, which has enabled the Democratic Party to accumulate deep political trust among this group.

However, starting in the 90s, the US economy began to undergo structural adjustments, and industrial relocation became a trend. In order to pursue lower production costs, a large number of industrial manufacturing companies moved their production bases to overseas markets, which directly led to a decline in the US's domestic industrial manufacturing capacity.

Over the past decade, the share of U.S. industrial manufacturing in GDP has shrunk dramatically, by as much as one-third.

The chain reaction of industrial relocation is that blue-collar workers in the rust belt region are facing a severe employment crisis, even though...

They managed to keep their jobs, but their income level also saw a significant decline.

The donkey, once a champion of blue-collar workers, not only failed to pay attention to these workers but also focused on advocating for the welfare of immigrant groups. This led to more and more blue-collar workers shifting their stance and gradually turning to the elephant camp, which has always supported the development of traditional industries.

In contrast, the four traditionally red states of Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina in the South are quite different. In these four states, the supporters of the Elephant were not as dominant as they were in Texas. The lenient immigration policies implemented by the Donald attracted a large influx of immigrants from the US-Mexico border into these four states.

For these immigrants, the immigration benefits proposed by the Donald were more in line with their own interests, so they naturally became supporters of the Donald.

This demographic shift has directly overturned the elephants' long-standing dominance in these four southern states, turning them into swing states.

"In Nevada, the only forces I can think of that could have made David Boyce a part of the U.S. Department of Justice, besides the Elephants, were the influence of Las Vegas."

Ernst then went on to point out that "Las Vegas, in essence, is Jewish territory."

The largest gambling conglomerate in Las Vegas is the Sands Corporation, whose owner, Sheldon Adelson, is of Jewish descent.

Apart from Adelson, over 60% of the businesses in Las Vegas are run by Jewish people.

Wenger's expression immediately turned serious. "You mean the restoration of Judah?"

Within the United States, the Jewish community is also divided, with two different voices and factions existing for a long time.

One group is the indigenous Jewish faction, and the other is the Zionist Jewish faction.

Native Jewish groups, often referred to as "donkey Jews," while maintaining their core identity as Jewish, tend to aim to create a powerful, Jewish-dominated force within the United States to influence the country's development.

These factions are mainly composed of Jews from Europe. The DuPont family, for example, is a typical representative of native Jewish families who migrated from Europe to the United States.

These families have developed in the United States over a long period of time and have become deeply integrated into all aspects of American society. Their interests and demands are closely linked to the development of the United States.

But the Zionist Jews were different. Although most Zionist Jews still supported the donkey, a considerable number of them supported the elephant.

The most fundamental difference between Zionist Judaism and native Judaism lies in the fact that Zionist Judaism advocates hollowing out America and restoring Israel.

Adelson is a typical Zionist representative. He has donated tens of millions of dollars to the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial in Israel and has long sponsored visits to Israel by members of the U.S. Congress, thereby continuously strengthening the ties between the United States and Israel.

Moreover, this person is one of Elephant's major financial backers, and he actively donates to Elephant during every election.

It's not that he's siding with the elephant, but rather that it's about the principle of "Israel First".

For them, partisan divisions within the United States are not important; what matters is which party or candidate can offer the most promises of benefits to Israel. Whoever can promise advantages, they will donate to.

It wouldn't be difficult to manage the Donalds, cultivate good relations with the local elephants in Nevada, and place one of our own in the Department of Justice.

"Clearly, the series of actions taken by Zipton after taking office did not meet their expectations," Ernst further analyzed.

Wenger immediately understood Ernst's implication and explained to Carl and the others that "the three wars launched by the Leddon, whether in Somalia, Bohemia, or Haiti, had nothing to do with the Middle East..."

At this point, Wenger suddenly paused, not continuing his explanation, but instead turning his gaze to Ernst. "You mean, the prices of products in the defense and oil industries are going to rise?"

Hamilton exclaimed in surprise, "Is war about to break out?"

Even disregarding current affairs, as an American, I know that when the prices of products in the military, oil, and pharmaceutical industries surge dramatically, it often means that war is imminent.

Ernst glanced at the two people on TV who seemed to be arguing, but were actually having very little going on. He had a feeling they were just playing along.

The two actors are putting on a show: "It's not just about fighting; it's about fighting in the Middle East."

This is in everyone's best interest; the Jewish people within Microsoft will be satisfied with this exchange, saving Microsoft and allowing the tech industry to continue its celebration.

The elephant would also be satisfied with this exchange. America is now rich and has to spend some money to feed the elephant.

Most importantly, the financial backers behind them were satisfied.

Both native Jews and Zionist Jews are very happy to see the wars in the Middle East weaken the power of other countries in the region, thereby creating a more favorable external environment for Israel's development.

"Then why are they targeting you, or rather, targeting Google?" Hamilton couldn't understand it at all and was very curious as to why Ernst would associate David Boyce's trap for Google with retro Judaism.

In his view, the core goal of the Zionist movement is to hollow out America and strengthen Israel, which has no direct connection with Ernst or Google.

"Because of ICQ," Ernst said firmly. "If I'm not mistaken, there's a strong possibility that Fuguo Youzai was behind Microsoft's acquisition of ICQ."

Seeing that everyone still looked puzzled, Ernst further explained, "Think about it, if Google Messenger hadn't appeared back then, ICQ would probably have developed into what Google Messenger is today, holding an absolute dominant position in the instant messaging field."

"ICQ was invented by Israelis. For Israel, the success of ICQ means more than just the popularity of a software. More importantly, it can greatly enhance Israel's status in the global technology field and increase Israel's international reputation."

"At the same time, by controlling ICQ, an instant messaging software with a huge user base, Israel can also control an important propaganda channel and better convey its voice in the international arena. This is of great strategic significance for shaping Israel's national image and competing for international discourse power."

"The emergence of Google Messenger has effectively killed ICQ just as it was beginning to grow. Besides Microsoft and Bill Gates, who do you think they hate the most?"

"And another thing," Ernst's eyes sharpened instantly, throwing out an even more shocking idea, "what if IC..."

Q is very likely to make a comeback.

"Really?" Hamilton jumped up from his seat in surprise upon hearing the news.

Although Google Messenger currently holds an absolute dominant position in the instant messaging market, the presence of competitors and the absence of competitors are two completely different things.

The presence or absence of competitors has a drastically different impact on Google Messenger's development strategy, product innovation, and market share stability.
