The Silent Witch of Hogwarts
Chapter 527 Summer of Nurmengard
Chapter 527 Summer of Nurmengard
Returning here, Loila felt an unprecedented tension.
Compared to my last visit here, have I fulfilled Lord Grindelwald's mission properly? Have I prepared well to kill Dumbledore? Have I worked hard to revitalize the Malay Party?
The answer is obvious: none of them.
Ugh—
How could I possibly face Lord Grindelwald? Loira was like a student on whom high hopes were placed, but in reality, she hadn't practiced any spells during the holidays.
But it's impossible not to see him, because just seeing Lord Grindelwald is full of meaning, although Loira doesn't know what that meaning is either—but seeing Lord Grindelwald is enough, isn't it?
"I'll stop here for now," Dumbledore said slowly, standing at the entrance to Nurmengard. "I'll wait for you here."
Dumbledore, you've matured! Why aren't you choosing to come in with me this time?
Of course—it would be even better if you didn't have to wait for me here.
But why is that? Weren't you always so cautious before?
"My relationship with him isn't exactly good, is it?" Dumbledore chuckled softly, as if he understood Royla's thoughts. "If I were to go, I probably wouldn't get the answer I want."
Ah—yes, I'm not just here to visit him in prison—I'm also here to ask Dumbledore about prophecies—Lord Grindelwald, as the most outstanding prophet Magus, can see what will happen in the future.
Perhaps Lord Grindelwald foresaw the future victory of the Lich Party, which is why he deliberately lost to Dumbledore and stayed here.
Lord Grindelwald is truly amazing!
Nodding to Dumbledore, Loila pursed her lips and strode into the castle.
She wasn't sure if it was just her imagination, but she felt that the castle seemed to have been slightly more maintained than when she last visited.
The lush weeds had disappeared, the gaps in the floor tiles had been slightly filled, and even the wall with the words "For the greater good" seemed to have been wiped clean.
Did Dumbledore have a change of heart?
Or is it just my imagination?
Loila carefully walked to the castle gate and then pushed it open with a little force.
The castle hall was as deserted as before. The unburnt fireplace was covered in ash, and various odds and ends were scattered on the carpet. Loira gently waved her wand, sending them all back to where they belonged.
This is Nurmengard, where she lived for three years—though only three years, it felt like an eternity to her.
Nurmengard—this is one of the few places Roy can call home after his father and mother left.
Every time she stood here, she felt a sense of nostalgia—everything seemed as magnificent and bustling as ever, and it was as if those seemingly fierce-looking but actually gentle members of the UMNO party were still standing on the stairs.
By the fireplace in the hall, it seemed as if Lady Vida could still be seen speaking seriously, but her gaze would soften slightly whenever she looked at him.
Without Dumbledore by her side, Royla walked very slowly. Compared to the surprise she felt last time, she now felt a strange sense of emotion as she looked at everything.
Finally, her boots stopped at the door of Lord Grindelwald's bedroom, and she knew what the person behind that door looked like now.
Biting her lip, Loila twitched her pointed ears slightly, blinked her blue eyes, and then reached out and gently knocked on the door of the room.
"Grindelwald—Lord Grindelwald," she whispered, "Are you there?"
'
'
There was a few seconds of silence in the room before Loila heard a reply.
"Please come in, Miss Hamilton."
"Hmm."
The familiar voice made Loila nod slightly, and she awkwardly pushed open the door to the room.
Grindelwald was still there, sitting quietly in a chair by the window, looking at the distant mountains.
"Lord Grindelwald—you—how have you been lately?" As soon as she opened her mouth, Loila felt like a fool. How could she be doing well in a place like a prison?
"Not bad." Grindelwald's answer surprised Loira a little. He chuckled and turned his head, his aged face showing a relaxed and somewhat leisurely expression.
"Because I can see what's been happening lately," he said slowly. "These past two years—you seem to have accomplished quite a bit."
Lord Grindelwald can see—see recent events?
This surprised Loila, who covered her mouth in astonishment: "You did it through—through prophecy?"
"fool."
Grindelwald shook his head slightly, a smile on his face: "I learned it by reading the newspaper."
'
""
Loila watched, both amused and exasperated, as Grindelwald picked up a newspaper from the table. The headline was none other than her recent trial with the Ministry of Magic.
"Prophecy isn't that simple," Grindelwald said calmly. "Even I—can't see whatever I want."
"And if you want to make a prophecy—you also need something related to that person."
"I'm so sorry," Loila apologized softly for her mistake, but Grindelwald didn't take it to heart.
He simply nodded and said, "Please sit down, Miss Hamilton."
"He didn't come this time—perhaps we can talk a little longer?"
"Hmm—" Loila was a little flattered as she sat down opposite Grindelwald. Usually, in the internal meetings of the shaman party, this seat belonged to Lady Vida. She was surprised to find herself sitting here one day.
Sometimes Loila's happiness seems to be just like this—strange and cheap.
Grindelwald seemed to understand her feelings. He blinked his heterochromatic eyes slightly and said, "Time flies, Miss Hamilton."
"But you haven't changed at all—you're still as interesting as ever," he said slowly. "And you're still as relaxing as ever."
What does this mean?
Loira didn't quite understand what Lord Grindelwald was saying. Was it the result of the Dumbledore virus? Do people always like to say things that are hard for an idiot like me to understand?
"How are you finding life at Hogwarts?" Grindelwald asked casually, gently pushing a cup on the table as he spoke.
Loila then noticed that two cups of coffee had already been brewed on the table.
"Thank you—thank you, Lord Grindelwald." Holding her coffee, Loira thanked him softly, saying, "Life at Hogwarts is very—very interesting."
"But—but I haven't forgotten your mission—not at all," Royla corrected. "Dumbledore trusts me now—trusts me completely."
"I also joined the Order of the Phoenix."
"————" Grindelwald did not speak upon hearing this, but listened with a smile.
"I've also met many—many friends—ah, people who can also join Lord Grindelwald's cause."
"Mr. Lupin, he's a werewolf, very powerful—and also very gentle. He could definitely join the Musikverein party."
"And—and Miss Lovegood, she's very clever, and her father is a newspaper editor—"
"Oh, and Miss Hilo—ah, she seems to have originally been—was a member of the Witchcraft faction—"
Watching Loila speak eloquently, Grindelwald remained silent, simply observing with a faint smile on his face.
