The Silent Witch of Hogwarts
Chapter 602 The Great Purge
Chapter 602 The Great Purge
"It's just a few students who can't handle it," Umbridge said as he walked along the road, completely forgetting that he himself had been disturbed by students before.
While inwardly complaining about Malfoy and the others wasting her time, she began to search for prey in the corridors of Hogwarts.
Now that Hogwarts has no students and no professors who dare to oppose him, what need is there for him to be followed?
Stalking is something that happens to suspects, but the students of Hogwarts are all just Dumbledore's followers! These are criminals!
Umbridge walked briskly down the corridor with a dark expression. Almost every student who saw her quickly avoided her, and many more turned away without even wanting to exchange a glance with her.
Umbridge spotted a student who was walking slowly and, with a flick of his wrist, shouted, "Grab him!"
At her command, several Aurors swarmed forward and pointed their wands at the student as if he were a criminal.
"What are you doing?!" The student was startled. He took a few steps back and leaned against the wall. "I didn't do anything!"
"Whether you did it or not, you know perfectly well!" Umbridge scoffed. "Take him to your office and lock him up!"
"Yes, Principal Umbridge!"
Several Aurors quickly subdued the student.
As he was taken away, Umbridge laughed and said to the students who were hiding in the corners watching, "See? This is what happens when you oppose the Ministry of Magic!"
She then lowered her voice slightly and said to the other Aurors, "Minister Fudge will be coming to Hogwarts tomorrow—we must let these die-hard Dumbledore supporters know this today—"
"The Ministry of Magic is the true master of Hogwarts."
"Yes, Principal Umbridge!"
After giving a cold snort, Umbridge sauntered toward her office.
Malfoy and his students are too weak—that's how students should be!
"I didn't do anything, Headmaster Umbridge!" The student, now bound to a chair with a wronged expression, struggled and said, "I don't know anything!"
"Do you know—who knows if it's true or not?" Umbridge replied with a fake smile, "If you're willing to tell me about Potter and Hamilton's shady dealings—"
"I might consider letting you go."
"I—I know nothing—I'm a Slytherin student, about these things—"
"Give him truth serum!" Umbridge said slowly, looking at him. "I think you're going to refuse a polite offer and then suffer the consequences—"
At her command, several Aurors took a small box containing bottles of potions.
These potions were obtained from the Ministry of Magic; they were truth serums specifically used for interrogating prisoners. No one expected that such a thing would one day be used on students.
"Ugh! Ugh!"
He was held down by several Aurors, and a bottle of Truth Potion was forcibly poured into the mouth of the student in front of him.
"Name!"
"James Rose —"
What grade are you in?
"Fourth grade — Fourth grade —"
"What do you know about Hamilton?"
"Professor Hamilton is a very lovely professor, I like her very much—and she is also very gentle, sometimes a little timid, and always has a beautiful voice—"
"I'm asking what you know about her conspiracy!"
"Professor Hamilton's conspiracy—Professor Hamilton is—seemingly secretly training some students—"
"And those students have been thinking lately—thinking about causing trouble."
"What do you mean by 'causing trouble'?" Umbridge frowned.
"Everyone is angry because they're not allowed a holiday for Christmas."
"Then Harry Potter formed an organization called Dumbledore's Army—and they were planning something—to carry out their operation on Christmas Eve—"
"How foolish—" Umbridge shook her head with a cold laugh. "What else do you know besides this?"
Do you know who was involved?
"Many people—many people participated—I don't know anything else—"
"Is the amount of truth serum insufficient?" Umbridge asked, looking at the other Aurors.
"Deputy Minister Umbridge, we've already given him a bottle."
Umbridge nodded upon hearing this, and then said, "So you all heard that, right?"
"These students are plotting a rebellion." She took a deep breath. "They want to disrupt the Ministry of Magic's administration and clear Dumbledore's name—"
"Foolish! Utterly foolish!"
She flicked her robe and said, "Now inform all the Aurors."
"Arrest all suspicious students immediately, including Harry Potter!"
"Capture them and bring them here one by one!"
"Then notify all professors to hold an immediate meeting in the auditorium," Umbridge said slowly. "Once they are inside, seal off the auditorium and do not allow any professor to leave!"
"Yes, Deputy Minister!"
These Aurors, who were completely subservient to the Ministry of Magic, did not hesitate upon receiving the order. They quickly left the office, raised their wands, and began a large-scale operation within Hogwarts.
"What's going on?" Professor McGonagall had just stepped out of her office when she saw four or five Aurors standing at the door waiting for her.
"Professor McGonagall—Principal Umbridge requests your presence in the auditorium."
This wasn't just happening at the Transfiguration office; the Aurors at Hogwarts split into two groups: one led the professors into the Great Hall, while the other began searching for the students.
In an instant, the entire Hogwarts was plunged into chaos.
Amidst that chaos, the only exception was Loila's office, where the Magic Array Department was unusually quiet.
Loila was sitting intently in her office, staring at the magic circle on her desk.
"Bang bang bang".
Just then, there was a knock on her office door.
Ok?
"Professor Hamilton! Open the door! Professor Hamilton!"
Ok? !
Is that... Miss Granger's voice?
With a slightly confused look in Loila's eyes, she slowly opened the office door.
Hermione scrambled in as soon as her office door opened. Startled, she closed the door and took a few deep breaths to calm herself down.
"What's wrong?" Loila blinked and asked.
"Professor Hamilton—something terrible has happened!" Hermione said, pursing her lips. "Umbridge is arresting students—"
"And professors too!"
"Huh?" Loila immediately thought she had misheard—what was wrong with Umbridge now—why was she suddenly saying, "It's okay—it's okay—they won't come here," Loila said, pursing her lips to reassure Hermione, "They won't come here."
Probably not.
"Bang bang bang!"
"Professor Hamilton, Principal Umbridge needs to speak with you!"
