The Silent Witch of Hogwarts
Chapter 623 Lady Vida
Chapter 623 Lady Vida
"Pat-pat-pat"
Unlike the completely chaotic and damaged corridors, everything on the top floor of Rozier Manor was exceptionally tranquil. Loila and Emma walked gently to the door of the only room there.
"Lady Vida is right here," a shaman from the Wushi Party said slowly.
"Don't I need to give you the wand this time?" Emma asked casually.
The shaman's expression changed slightly: "You're joking, Miss Emma."
"Francois has deceived us all—"
"That would be best." Emma said, raising an eyebrow. She was exactly like Miss Shiloh—Loira felt a sense of nostalgia standing next to her.
But—where did Miss Shiloh go?
Miss Hilo was wearing the necklace Loila had given her. Logically—as long as she was still alive, Loila should know her location—but unfortunately, that wasn't the case—
Miss Hilo seemed to have vanished into thin air; the necklace couldn't locate her at all, providing Loy with only a string of gibberish—was the necklace broken?
However, there is no record of the necklace's magic-blocking array being triggered. Normally, if it were triggered, Loila would know immediately.
But no—could it be that Miss Shiloh broke the necklace herself? Or was the necklace stolen?
In short, there are no answers to any of this.
However, now is not the time to think about this.
Looking at the closed door before her, Loila took a deep breath and slowly pushed it open.
'
Sunlight streamed in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, gently falling on the large bed in the center of the room, where Vida Rozier lay quietly. Her closed eyes made Loira instinctively a little nervous.
"Auntie!" Emma immediately ran inside, lay down on the bed and looked at Ms. Vida, saying softly, "Miss Hamilton and I are here."
"Miss Hamilton?" Upon hearing Loira's name, Ms. Vida finally reacted. She slightly opened her eyes and looked at Loira, who was standing not far away.
"Vida—Ms. Vida." Loila pursed her lips and hurried over. She and Emma sat on the edge of the bed, both looking at Ms. Vida with concern.
Loila hadn't expected that the poor health Miss Shiloh mentioned was actually this serious.
The last time we met—Ms. Vida seemed quite energetic, and we even chatted together in the courtyard—
How come it looks like this now—
How should I describe it?
Loila felt as if she were seeing her mother—in the days when her mother was about to leave—
"Vida—Ms. Vida—" Just thinking about it made Loila's nose twitch, and her ears drooped down, hanging on either side of her cheeks.
"Are you... are you alright?"
"Ah————" Vida smiled gently upon hearing this. She revealed a gentle smile, as if she had never shown that serious expression again since reuniting with Loila.
She reached out and gently touched Loila's head. Feeling the warmth of the large hand on her head, Loila couldn't help but shed tears.
"I'm going to die, Loila." Vida quietly uttered what everyone was thinking, but because of this, Emma and Loila both shed tears at this moment.
"No—no, it won't happen," Loila whispered. "You'll be alright—you're still young—even an old guy like Dumbledore has lived so long—"
"Hahahahahaha" Vida chuckled and shook his head: "No need to say that, Loila."
She looked at Emma and said, "Emma—"
"aunt!"
"I'm actually quite surprised to see you here right now—where did Shiloh go?"
"Sister Shiro—Sister Shiro has gone missing."
"I see—" Vida gave a slightly helpless look, but the next second it softened: "But I'm also very happy to have you here."
"After that—you must help Miss Hamilton manage the Sorcerer Party—especially given the current situation—" Vida said, emphasizing each word: "Never cooperate with Voldemort—he is not like Lord Grindelwald."
"He's nothing but a fraudulent thief—a charlatan who steals from the world." Vida coughed a few times as he spoke. "To cooperate with him is like asking a tiger for its skin."
"I—I understand," Emma said softly, biting her lip.
"And then—" Vida paused, "protect yourself."
"Find your sister." She reached out and patted Emma's head. "Go—start doing these things now."
Although she was bedridden, she remained the leader of the UMNO party and Grindelwald's former deputy.
"Yes—Auntie." Emma nodded gently, reached out and patted Loila, who was still crying, before walking out.
With the door closed, only Loila and Vida remained in the room.
Although he had been alone in a room with Ms. Vida countless times before, this was definitely the saddest time for Roy.
The passing of life is always the saddest thing—especially for those who know the preciousness of life.
"Loila," Vida murmured Loila's name softly, "Every time I look at you—I'm reminded of the days gone by."
Do you remember—do you remember when we practiced dancing together?
"I—I still remember—" Loila said, her voice trembling. How could she forget?
She hadn't forgotten her first meeting with Ms. Vida, hadn't forgotten the etiquette and dance lessons they had learned together, hadn't forgotten the expression on Ms. Vida's face every time she called her a "parasite," and hadn't forgotten—hadn't forgotten the smile on Ms. Vida's face when they met again.
"I haven't—I haven't forgotten at all." The more Loila spoke, the more tears streamed down her face.
"So-so—she's still just a child." Vida chuckled softly as he watched this scene. "You—you'll get better—and then we'll finish the Grindelwald's work together—" Loira's words made Vida shake his head slightly.
"Loira—I used to be confused as to why Lord Grindelwald trusted her so much, and I was also—I was jealous."
"Why is it that Lord Grindelwald values me so highly after only a short time here?" She chuckled self-deprecatingly, "But now I understand why."
"You're far more optimistic about everything than we are." She coughed a few times as she spoke. "I used to hate you—hate your disappearance without a word, and resent you—if you hadn't left and had fought alongside me, perhaps the outcome would have been different?"
"But when I saw you again, I realized—I had loved you too." Ms. Vida spoke quietly, slowly revealing feelings she had never expressed before: "Loy—the road ahead depends on you."
"But you are not alone—you are completely different from who you were before." Vida said, reaching out to touch Loila's tear-streaked face. "Perhaps I'm wrong?"
"You're not a child anymore," she said, pausing for a moment. "The UMNO is now in your hands."
"I believe you can do it."
"But I—"
"There are no 'buts'." Vida slowly withdrew her hand, saying each word slowly and deliberately, "I trust you."
"Just like Lord Grindelwald."
Looking at Loila, who was tightly pursing her lips to suppress a sob, Vida suddenly gave a faint smile: "Do you remember what I said when we first met?"
Without waiting for Loila's reply, Vida continued, her eyes and tone filled with longing: "Is this your child—Lord Grindelwald?"
"Is she Philip's daughter?" she asked, her voice growing softer as she reached out as if touching something.
Finally, she glanced at the sobbing Loila and whispered, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Hamilton."
"It's so—so nice to meet you—Ms. Rozier—"
This time, upon hearing that hesitant answer, Vida Rozier showed no dissatisfaction; she simply nodded slightly.
"I'm sorry I used to call you a parasite, Loila."
Shortly after that, Ms. Vida passed away.
