The Silent Witch of Hogwarts
Chapter 636 Luna
Chapter 636 Luna
Following Hermione's suggestion, Loira quickly walked to the edge of the Black Lake, a place she and Luna used to frequent the most, where they would always have lunch—chatting and talking.
However, it seems like a long time has passed since we last played here together—after all, times have changed—Loira is no longer the same person she used to be, and what about Luna?
Looking at the figure sitting quietly by the lake, Loila pursed her lips and then gave a slight smile.
Although she was much taller and had much longer hair than before, Luna was still Luna. She was lightly kicking the water, looking quite relaxed.
This was exactly how Luna always appeared to Loila; it seemed that no worries could get into her mind, and she always seemed to be optimistic and happy.
Loila sometimes envies Luna—if only she could be as smart as Luna, as brave as Luna, and as optimistic as Luna.
After all, I'm stupid now, stupid enough to lose my friends, cowardly enough to not dare to go up and say hello, and pessimistic—so pessimistic that just looking at Luna's back makes my eyes well up with tears.
"————" Loila rubbed her eyes, trying not to cry—she didn't want Luna to see her crying—but what should she say?
How should I greet Luna?
What if Luna found out about my situation? What if she found out I'm a member of the Malay party?
if----
"Loila".
"Hmm!" Luna's voice came, making Loila's body tremble violently. She didn't know when, but she had turned her head and saw Loila. Her usually absent-minded eyes were now unexpectedly filled with joy.
Almost instantly, she stood up, then ran barefoot across the grass, and before Loila could react, she suddenly hugged Loila tightly.
"Mmm!"
Loila trembled as Luna hugged her, and tears welled up in her eyes the next second.
"I'm sorry, Luna, I..." Loila stammered for a moment, tears streaming down her cheeks and into her mouth as she opened her mouth.
"I'm so glad you still remember our promise, Loila." Luna didn't cry; a smile graced her face. She reached out and wiped Loila's cheek, then said, "I knew you'd come back."
"I—of course I'll come back," Loila said, her voice trembling slightly. "It's all my fault—it's all my fault—I shouldn't have—I shouldn't have lied to you—"
Upon seeing Luna, Loila could no longer hold back. The pressure she had been under was released all at once, and she recounted everything with a sob in her voice.
"I am actually—a witch—I am Lord Grindelwald's man—I lied to you—I—" The more Loila spoke, the more frightened she became. In the end, there was no relief from venting her pent-up feelings; only growing fear.
She feared that her emotionally charged words would cause Luna to leave her too—she had already lost Miss Nagini, and if she lost Luna as well—
"Is that so?" Luna's tone didn't change much upon hearing this, and she blinked gently at Loila.
"Do you remember what I once said—what would I do if Royla lied to me?" she said, slowly raising her hand and pinching Royla's ear before Royla could react.
"Hmm!"
As Luna exerted a little force, Loila let out a slightly shy sound. Shrinking back, she didn't have time to shed tears and could only plead, "No—don't do this—"
"————" Luna smiled gently upon hearing this and then released her grip.
"Just one pinch and I'll forgive you, Loila," she said, making Loila involuntarily purse her lips.
"But the UMNO—the UMNO is a very bad thing—"
"I know," Luna nodded, "but Loila is a good person."
"But I'm not—"
"Loila, have you ever seen a bad person who would teach students seriously? Have you ever seen a bad person who opposes Voldemort? Have you ever seen a bad person who protects students?" Luna said, reaching out slightly to pull Loila's hand. "Being a member of the Usuryan party doesn't mean you're a bad person."
"Besides, Loila is just Loila," she said. "As long as Loila is my friend—that's enough."
"Friend??" Loila bit her lip, not expecting Luna to be willing to be her friend—she didn't seem to mind her being a member of the Malay Party at all—even though it was a deception—or could pinching her ear really solve the deception?
"We've always been friends—and have you forgotten?" Luna said, lowering her voice slightly and whispering in Loira's ear, "Forever."
Do you still remember the story of eternity you once heard?
"Once upon a time, there was an ocean contained in a pot. There was a wizard who, every hundred years, would heat the pot with roaring flames, until the ocean completely disappeared—"
"Forever has only been a second in."
Luna quietly and deliberately recounted the story that Loila had heard before, stroking Loila's head as she spoke.
This made Loira realize that, without her noticing, Luna had grown taller and bigger than her—even though she had just thought Luna hadn't changed—she had actually changed a lot—a lot.
It's probably about the first second of eternity.
Looking quietly into Loila's eyes, Luna lowered her voice softly, "So, Loila—what are you here to do this time?"
"Hmm————" Loila didn't really want to talk about the magic circle items right now————but after thinking about it carefully, she realized that this matter was really, really important.
So she slowly picked up the lantern and handed it to Luna.
"This is a magic array prop I made," Loila explained succinctly. "It contains fragments of Voldemort's soul."
"If there are Horcruxes nearby, it will glow and begin to guide the way—if you want to—if you want to find Horcruxes from a distance."
"You need to use a wand to activate it." Listening to Loira's explanation, Luna carefully held the lantern steady.
"Thank you, Loira," she said softly, her voice like a wind chime. "Is this what you've been busy with lately?"
"Yes—yes." Loila pursed her lips.
"Will you leave again later?" Luna thought for a moment and then said, "Headmaster Dumbledore won't let us write to you—and he took away my communication wristband—"
No wonder Luna hadn't contacted me.
Upon hearing this, Loila said somewhat sadly, "I still have things—that haven't been resolved—"
"I have to leave."
"I see—" Luna sighed softly, a rare occurrence for her. "Then—is Miss Nagini with you?"
"Um?"
Loila was stunned by his question: "Miss Nagini—didn't she return to Hogwarts?"
"No." Luna shook her head gently. "I haven't seen Miss Nagini since that day."
