The Silent Witch of Hogwarts
Chapter 652 Someone Will Always Want the Zhang Family
Chapter 652 Someone Always Has to Go Home
Philip didn't come for the rest of the day, and Hilo stayed in bed without leaving the room.
She was thinking, organizing her thoughts.
Why did I suddenly start crying?
Clearly—clearly even if something happened, I wouldn't be like this—is it because of that promise—but Shiloh took a deep breath, shook her head to calm herself down, and with a few deep breaths, her eyes returned to their previous coldness.
The first thing I need to think about is how to get back.
This is 1666, and there's little chance of getting back alive—and judging from Philip's words, he won't be staying here for long either.
He'll keep trying for that bullshit idea—
What about yourself?
Of course, Shiloh couldn't keep following Philip around in different time periods—she had to find a way back to that spring of 1996.
Not only because she was originally from that time, but also because she had to tell Loila these things.
Whether it's the time magic circle or her father Philip—but did that damned man really need to tell Loira?
Although Loila rarely mentioned her family, Shiloh could still see from her eyes how much she missed that time and how much she missed her father and mother.
Until Shiloh left, she would occasionally sit alone on the porch and play her harmonica.
But her father—
"Clatter".
The door to the room was pushed open again, and Shiloh looked up to see the man she had just scolded.
Philip looked much more tired than in the morning; even though only one day had passed, he looked much older.
That's what they deserve.
Hilo could only give such a cold and indifferent answer.
"Hello—Miss Hilo." Philip pursed his lips and softly uttered Hilo's name. He moved a chair over and slowly sat down next to Hilo.
"Are you here to be insulted?" Shiloh scoffed. "You're not qualified to call me by my name."
"I'm sorry—Miss Rozier." Philip nodded silently, his tone not as agitated as in the morning, only slightly fluctuating.
"First of all, I want to thank you very much," he said slowly.
"Do you really have some kind of fetish?" Shiloh couldn't help but say sarcastically. "If there's nothing else, you should hurry up and leave."
I don't want to see you right now.
"I know—Miss Rozier, you hate me," Philip said slowly, "but I still want to say—I'm very grateful to you."
"Because of what you said this morning—I know you really are—Royla's friend." He looked up, pursing his lips as he gazed at Shiloh's face. "I'm so glad—she has such a good friend like you."
"Heh." Hilo said with a cold laugh, "If that's what you're after, then don't say anything more."
"It's not just that," Philip said, shaking his head slightly. "I'll send you back."
"Is it because I touched a nerve?" Even though Shilo knew she shouldn't say that, since she did need to rely on the person in front of her to get back, she couldn't help but want to yell at him when she looked at him.
She rarely loses her composure like this, and she rarely feels such physical aversion to someone.
"Yes————" To Hilo's surprise, Philip nodded generously.
"I'm a terrible father," he said slowly. "I abandoned my daughter—to do this kind of thing—"
""
"I didn't think that much at the time, because I was too—too stupid." Philip blurted out everything he had been thinking.
"So—so can you tell me—about Loila?" His voice trailed off. "I beg you—please tell me, okay?"
"7
Hilo fell silent, and sighed as she looked at the man with his head down in front of her.
"She's doing well—at least for now," Shiloh said. "In 1992, she became a professor at Hogwarts."
"She's very interested in magic circles and very skilled at spells—for some reason, she mastered the Silent Spell. She's one of the most powerful wizards I've ever met—she's even called the 'Silent Witch.'" Hilo said, a slight smile appearing on his face. "But she's very socially awkward—she's timid."
"I'm afraid to talk to strangers, and I'm afraid to speak in front of many people."
"Even so—she is constantly changing."
"By 1993, she had become a household name as a magic array expert—and had also begun to learn to attend classes alone."
""
"The first time I saw her—" Shiloh pursed her lips slightly, "I actually didn't like her very much."
"So cowardly, and he betrayed Lord Grindelwald—but I later discovered—that's not actually the case."
"She's much stronger than anyone else," Shiloh said, looking at the silent Philip. "It's all because of you."
.
This is by no means a compliment.
"I'm sorry—I—I'm so sorry—" Philip said, pursing his lips. "Then—what happens after that?"
"A lot happened after that—we became friends."
"She has many friends, all of them very nice and gentle people." Shiloh said, shrugging as if she remembered something. "And she's a very gentle person, although sometimes she can seem a little—inexplicably dazed."
"But she's also very smart." Shiloh's voice wasn't so cold anymore; instead, it was gentle, like the spring breeze when she left.
"She encountered many dangers along the way, but she overcame them all—until I left—she also encountered a crisis."
"But I think—she'll definitely overcome it in the end." Shiloh said, looking at Philip. "You should be glad that your daughter is different from you—she has a more human heart than you, and she's stronger than you."
Philip listened to these words and nodded silently—then said, "Thank you—thank you, Miss Rosier."
"Thank you for telling me this."
"And then—" he said, slowly rising to his feet, "let's discuss your going home, shall we?"
"And what about you?" Shiloh countered. "After hearing all this, you just think that just because she's doing well, I shouldn't go back?"
"No—no, that's not it." Philip sighed and gave a wry smile. "I can go back, and you can go back too."
.
"But the idea of us all going back is unlikely." His words made Shiloh frown slightly.
"What does this mean?"
"A time magic circle requires a tremendous amount of magic to activate—and even more so when the time and place are determined," Philip said slowly. "The previous experiment went wrong—it summoned you from the future to the past."
"Therefore, although I have stored up enough magic power—I can only let one more person leave at the moment."
"And what about you?"
"Me?" Philip pursed his lips and lowered his head. "I'm a bad father—"
"Besides, you're far more valuable to me than I am," Philip said, glancing gently at Shiloh. "I'll be waiting for you all this time."
"One of us will eventually have to go home."
"That person should be you, not me," he said, looking at Shiloh. "Besides, all I need to do is wait, don't I?"
"I'm waiting for Loila to pick me up and take me back."
