The Silent Witch of Hogwarts

Chapter 669 Witch vs. Dragon

Chapter 669 Witch vs. Dragon

As Royla and Nagini mounted their brooms, the unease they had felt earlier slowly faded away. After all, no matter what, Voldemort couldn't catch someone flying in the sky.

As she watched the ground shrink until it was finally enveloped in darkness, Loila breathed a sigh of relief.

The rest is simple; just have to get past Miss Nagini's somewhat astonishing driving skills.

"Ugh!" Just as Loila was thinking this, Miss Nagini almost bumped her head into a stone pillar. Fortunately, she reacted quickly enough, otherwise she would have ended up meeting Merlin.

"Thank goodness—that was close—" Not only Roy, but even Nagini himself breathed a sigh of relief.

She patted her chest slightly, then carefully looked around.

As the broom continued to fly, other vaults finally began to appear around them—but looking at these vaults, Loila felt a little surprised.

These vaults look damaged too—is it because of what Voldemort did?

But Voldemort only damaged the mountain, right? Why do these vaults look like they've been burned?

Just as Loila was wondering, she suddenly heard a loud bang.

That wasn't an ordinary collision sound, but rather a somewhat indistinct roar.

"What's that sound?" Nagini's voice came.

"I—I don't know either." Loila shuddered and then glanced slightly in the direction from which the voice came.

eh?

There was even light coming from the direction of the sound—was it—flame?!

"Miss Nagini!" Loila shouted. As she shouted, Nagini subconsciously pulled the broom, and the next second after she made this move, a ball of flame swept past in front of the two of them.

Before the scorching flames had even subsided, a dragon swept past the two of them.

"It's...it's...it's a dragon?!" Loila was startled as she watched the enormous body fly into the darkness.

No way—why are there dragons in Gringotts?! And are these dragons here to collect money? Why are they just flying around here like that?!

"That dragon is Gringotts' guardian!" Miss Nagini's voice rang out. She was somewhat better off than Loila, but she was still quite frightened. She almost immediately grabbed her broom and charged at the top of her head at a nearly ninety-degree angle.

"It must be because of Voldemort—"

"Boom!" Before he could finish speaking, a fireball flew from behind him.

"Bang!"

Loila frantically raised her wand and shattered the fireball in mid-air, but a glance she gave almost cost her her life.

Besides the fact that it's incredibly high up here, it's also because the dragon's mouth is almost right there.

"Ugh!" Loila frantically swung her wand a few times, but the spells she threw didn't have much effect when they hit the dragon's head.

Dragonscale has a high level of magic resistance; spells strong enough to send people flying are like tickles to it.

It probably wasn't just a tickle—after all, the dragon looked extremely angry.

"roar!"

It let out a roar, startling Loila, who quickly turned and hugged Miss Nagini tightly, shouting, "Yes—yes, yes, I'm so sorry (≧≤)!"

"Boom!" Miss Nagini dodged the dragon's flames with a sideways maneuver, and then quickly raised her broom to avoid a falling stone pillar.

This is too dangerous! They have to dodge both the dragon's pursuit and obstacles, and the pilot is even Miss Nagini?!

"Boom!" Another fireball came hurtling towards her, and Loila quickly swung her wand.

"Loila!"

"Hmm?" Miss Nagini's voice came from inside.

"Which way should we go?!" Miss Nagini's question made Loira flinch. "I—I don't know either!"

I've only been to Gringotts a few times, and I don't even know as much about it as Miss Nagini, let alone riding a broomstick or anything like that.

"Over there! It looks like we can get out over there!" Miss Nagini seemed to have spotted something and abruptly turned around. This abrupt movement almost threw Loila off the broom, but luckily she instinctively grabbed Miss Nagini and prevented it from happening.

However, Nagini's movements clearly attracted the dragon's attention, and it moved back and forth in the Gringotts cave, closely following Royla and Nagini.

"Hang in there, we're almost there!" Nagini shouted.

How—how can I hold on?!

Flying at a near 90-degree angle, the sheer gravity nearly caused Loila to fall, and she also had to constantly block the flames spewed by the dragon.

"roar!"

Sure enough, here we go again!

The dragon opened its mouth wide, as if taking a deep breath, and Loila could feel the intense heat behind her even without turning her head.

Is this guy about to unleash some amazing move?

"roar!"

"Oh no!" Royla frantically raised her wand and sprayed a stream of cool water behind her.

The flames sprayed onto the water, generating a large amount of steam. The resulting white mist made it difficult for Loira to see the dragon's movements for a moment.

Did you shake it off?

"roar!"

The dragon running shoes suddenly rushed onto the broom and its mouth widened. Looking at its deep mouth and teeth, Loila raised her wand and smashed it into the dragon's nose. Then, not only the wand, Loila opened her spatial expansion book and poured all the contents of it out onto the dragon.

Loila dumped out all sorts of odds and ends, materials of unknown origin, furniture, and even the fiery energy she had previously absorbed.

"roar!"

Distracted by these things, the dragon roarer slowed down slightly, giving Nagini and Loila an opportunity.

Nagini suddenly accelerated again and aimed at the glass skylight overhead.

"Prepare for impact!"

What do you mean by preparing for an impact?

Before Loila could react, the tip of the broom slammed into the glass, and with a crisp sound, Loila and Nagini burst out of Gringotts' underground vault.

The broom went out of control in that instant, and Loila immediately felt dizzy, as if her head and body were no longer her own.

After rolling around on the ground a few times, Loila finally got up, looking a bit disheveled.

Where is this place?

Loila looked around, feeling dizzy and disoriented. What came into view was a group of fairies with complex expressions, as well as wizards.

Hmm—why is this Gringotts lobby?!

"Miss Hamilton?" Mr. Parkinson and a group of Aurors were there at the moment. He pursed his lips and then walked over to Loila.

"What kind of extreme sport are you doing?"

"Ugh————"

Being watched by so many people, Loila felt dizzy for the first time in a long time, perhaps because she had been concentrating for too long—anyway, she didn't know why.

Her head swayed, and she fainted without a second thought.
