The Silent Witch of Hogwarts
Chapter 703 The Sorrowful Sea
Chapter 703 The Sorrowful Sea
"Avada Kedavra!"
"Buzz!"
A spell as thick as a person brushed past her ear, but Heero's face remained unchanged as she narrowly dodged it. She coldly watched Voldemort swing his wand, turning the surrounding rubble into ice spears and longswords that shot towards Voldemort.
"Bang bang bang!"
The fierce icy rain was swept away by Voldemort's wand, and then he followed up with another killing curse.
Voldemort was incredibly powerful—Heero had never fought Voldemort before, but this first encounter made her realize that the man before her was no less powerful than Dumbledore—
Heero’s previous encounter with Dumbledore made him feel as if he were facing a calm sea, where no matter what he threw in, it would only create a ripple.
Voldemort, on the other hand, was like a colossal wave that devoured everything; every swing of his hand brought forth a surge of energy.
But it's alright—now I'm facing him all by myself, and that's enough.
Moody is dead. Although he was a member of the Order of the Phoenix, his death does not bring Shiloh any joy. And if Mr. Parkinson, who was Royla's friend, were to die here as well, she would surely be devastated.
Since that's the case—I'll just have to deal with Voldemort by myself.
Heero looked coldly at Voldemort. Although she was covered in wounds and her robes were full of holes, she still held her wand without any fear.
It's nothing more than death—Shiloh has never been afraid of death, or rather, she has witnessed far too much death.
The passing of life is always a sad thing, but Shiloh's heart can only hold a certain amount of sadness. The sponge has absorbed enough water, and even if the ocean flows over it, it will not add a bit more.
And compared to watching others die in front of you, your own death seems more acceptable, doesn't it?
"Bang!"
She deflected another spell, but Hilo felt she was at her limit. Voldemort's relentless attacks were making it hard for her to breathe, but then she suddenly stopped.
Voldemort, holding his wand, looked at her silently and said, "Miss Rosier, you are a very talented wizard, but they've left you here to die."
"You think you can stop me? —" Voldemort said, grinning. "Why don't you join me? Join the Death Eaters."
"When the Maraites surrender, you'll still be their leader." Voldemort's words elicited a cold laugh from Heero, who blinked her purple eyes at him.
"For you, the most precious thing is life, right?" Hilo said sarcastically. "That's why you'll never..."
None of them will succeed.
"Because friends, family, ideals—there are always things far more precious than life itself." Shiloh raised an eyebrow as she spoke. "I almost forgot, you don't have any of those."
"——..——"
Voldemort fell silent upon hearing this. He shook his head, not angry: "Is this how you comfort yourselves?"
"The thought that Dumbledore thought the same thing before he died makes me want to laugh a little," he said, shrugging. "Oh well."
"Since that's how you feel—then we can only say goodbye."
"Avada Kedavra!"
As Voldemort raised his wand, Heero calmly smiled, and then—she whispered something to the badge.
A cool, clear voice echoed faintly from the badge, causing Loila's pupils to dilate slightly as she held it.
"Loira, I love you—if you succeed, you must tell the me in that timeline that I said these words."
Miss Shiloh, this—this fool—
Loila felt both ashamed and angry as she listened to the words in the badge. Why say such things at a time like this? It should have been—
Let's talk about it when everyone's alive and successful—why now?
"Loila." Lupin reached out and immediately supported Loila, afraid that she would collapse from grief.
But Loila didn't. She took a deep breath and then slowly pushed Mr. Lupin away.
"I—I'm fine, Mr. Lupin," she said, pursing her lips. Her ears were drooping, and tears were streaming from the corners of her eyes, but she forced herself not to cry out.
"We—we must hurry and evacuate to the House of Requirement."
"Hmm." Lupin looked at her like this, feeling as if a stone was weighing on his heart—and the thought of Shiloh's death also made him a little sad.
But at this point, no one can stop because of excessive grief.
Even a pause is a desecration of the victims.
"Continue the attack!" Voldemort raised his wand and shouted to the Death Eaters, "Their lines have crumbled! Kill all those who refuse to surrender!"
At his command, the Death Eaters cheered.
Then he raised his wand and began his attack on the Great Hall of Hogwarts.
The Great Hall is the heart of Hogwarts. If it falls, the castle will soon face attacks from all sides, which is why its defenses are the strongest.
Most of the sorcerers and wizards from the Ministry of Magic retreated here, using the windows and tables and chairs to fight back. Armored figures and stone pillars continued to emerge and attack the Death Eaters.
In the headmaster's office at Hogwarts, Shirley looked at the sand table in front of her and pursed her lips.
She also learned of Shiloh's sacrifice.
You actually said that first—you're really something—that's really unfair.
She wiped her eyes, took a deep breath, and looked at the Death Eaters rushing into the Great Hall on the sand table in front of her. She picked up the badge and coughed.
"Hagrid, can you hear me?"
"I can hear you! How is Hogwarts?" Hagrid's gruff voice made Shirley nod slightly.
She cleared her throat and said, "Execute the plan!"
"Very well, Aragog! Get your children out there!" Hagrid's voice caused a commotion in the Forbidden Forest outside Hogwarts.
Following the commotion, a large swarm of spiders, along with various other creatures from the Forbidden Forest, rushed out.
The giant spiders shrieked as they charged into the Death Eaters' lines from behind, while the centaurs raised their longbows and unleashed volleys of arrows.
The harpy-headed, horse-bodied winged beast swooped down from the sky, extending its deadly claws towards the Death Eaters. In that instant, the Death Eaters were caught in a pincer attack.
"Attack! Hagrid's reinforcements have arrived!" Scrimgeour shouted, and wizards from the Ministry of Magic and the Sorcerers raised their wands to fight back.
The Death Eaters at the main gate were thrown into chaos.
Voldemort frowned slightly as he looked at everything before him.
"Master!" Bella Lestrange said, standing beside him, "We need to regroup our forces!"
"These damn things—" Before she could finish speaking, a giant spider had already rushed in front of her, and she had to raise her wand and flick it away.
Voldemort coldly observed the chaos before him without uttering a word, finally letting out a chilling snort and saying, "Retreat for now."
