Chapter 97 Snape's Defense Against the Dark Arts Class
"This is."
As Harry was suddenly enveloped in a silvery mist, he instinctively paused for a moment, then realized that Professor Hamilton must have used the headband.
She was unusually light this time. Harry nodded with a sigh and then began to focus his attention back on his memories.
However, this memory seems a little special, or rather, exceptionally special.
He was indeed in the classroom, which was almost identical to the current Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, as if it were yesterday, or perhaps tomorrow.
But the students in the classroom were acting strangely.
The reason is simple: they have no shame.
Professor Hamilton, are you sure this isn't a scene from a horror movie? Harry watched a horror movie once before at his uncle's house, but he didn't watch any more after Dudley peed his pants from fright.
But aren't I in Defense Against the Dark Arts class right now?
"Clatter".
The classroom door was slowly pushed open, and all the faceless students slowly turned around to look at the doorway.
"Gulp"
Not everyone would be unaffected by being stared at by dozens of faceless people. Harry felt the hairs on his body stand on end.
"Attend class."
The professor spoke slowly, but his voice was surprisingly familiar—a cold, somewhat deep voice, just like Snape's.
Wait, is this Snape?
Although the professor had no face, Harry felt he would never forget the way he walked – it was definitely Snape!
So, Professor Hamilton used Professor Snape's memories?
But he has never been a professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts! So what's going on?
Harry stared in disbelief as Snape stood on the podium and began his lecture, his tone fluctuating, his words cold yet always laced with sarcasm.
That's definitely Snape!
Harry knew he had always wanted to be the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, but he never imagined that he would achieve his wish through his memories.
It could even be a memory that never happened.
Look at you, Dumbledore. Look what you've driven people to. Leaning against the railing and looking at the magic circle, Roy sighed subconsciously.
She was startled when she saw the memories. After all, no one expected that Professor Snape would want to become the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor so much.
He's already starting to imagine what it's like to be in class!
Dumbledore, don't you think this—this is a little scary?
Do you really want Professor Snape to have this fantasy for the rest of his life?
This is just too terrible, and too tragic—
Loira felt sorry for Professor Snape just thinking about it. Luckily, she wouldn't be doing it again next semester, so Professor Snape should be able to get what he wanted then.
Hopefully, Roy shook his head and looked at the students below the stage, most of whom were frowning, and decided not to think about their lessons anymore.
Unpleasant memories flashed through her mind in an instant.
Learning magic circles is what I, as a professor, should be doing—that's right, focusing on magic circles.
"Mr. Potts! It's your turn to answer the question!"
"what?"
Harry was startled by the voice, and then he saw a figure slowly get up. The figure was wearing a Gryffindor scarf and spoke in a voice that sounded remarkably similar to Harry's.
"Sorry—I don't know."
"I know perfectly well!" Harry stared wide-eyed as the "himself," who knew nothing, slowly sat down, and overheard Snape deducting ten points from Gryffindor's score.
Thank goodness Snape didn't actually become the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor... otherwise, that would definitely be the situation I would face in the future. But no, that's not quite right either.
He's a Potions professor now.
"This question—I'd like to ask Miss Lola."
Miss Lowe? Is there such a person in our grade? Harry thought for a few seconds and suddenly remembered that she should be the red-haired girl he and Hermione met by the lake, the one who was with Luna.
Is she a student in our grade?
Harry watched as a timid figure slowly stood up. He couldn't see her face clearly, but she had long silver hair that was somewhat similar to Luna's.
Isn't she redhead?
Harry stared blankly at Lo standing there, stammering and unable to say anything coherently.
"I...I don't know—Professor Snipe—"
But her personality was exactly the same as that of Miss Lowe. Looking at that figure, Harry felt he could almost picture her face—it must be frighteningly pale.
"Heh," Snape replied with a sneer. "Miss Lowe, you don't even know such basic Dark Magic."
He then began to explain while simultaneously mocking Miss Luo.
"You're no better than the octopus in Hogwarts Lake," Snape scoffed. "Of course, octopuses don't have the habit of riding around on unicorns."
"You don't have any either, right?"
"Hmm!"
Harry heard Miss Lowe let out a strange cry, and then slowly sat down.
Is this really Defense Against the Dark Arts class? Is this kind of scenario really necessary?
Roy wanted to ask Harry the same question!
The moment she saw Miss Locke in her memory, she almost fainted. What was Professor Snape doing?!
Especially when he saw Miss Lowe being called on to answer questions, Lloyd seemed to instantly connect with this false memory. Every word he uttered wasn't torturing Miss Lowe, but rather torturing Professor Hamilton of the Defense Against the Dark Arts class.
She instinctively wanted to delete the scene, but Snape scoffed, "Does Miss Hamilton think she can do the work of Defense Against the Dark Arts all by herself?"
"Remember!"
After letting out the same strange cry as Miss Luo in his memory, Luo Yi chose to endure it.
Ah—. The student doesn't know that's me, absolutely doesn't know that's me. And! And what's with the "Lo" thing, I don't recognize it either, right?
I am Loira Hamilton! Even as she tried to numb herself, Loira still felt extremely embarrassed. She stammered and somewhat awkwardly hoped that Professor Snape could change his mind.
But then Snape casually asked, "I seem to recall hearing that Miss Lovegood and Miss Lowe of Hogwarts are very close, is that right?"
"That couldn't be you, could it?" Snape sneered. "How could it be, right?"
"Pretending to be a student and playing house," he said, emphasizing each word. "What an excellent professor."
"Ah, I... I didn't mean that—" Loira's hand waved awkwardly in front of her, her face flushed as she tried to deny it.
But Snape simply interrupted Loira's feeble explanation with another cold laugh.
Thinking of this, Luo Yi pursed her lips. Luo is not me—yes! Luo is not me!
She—she's just a slightly socially awkward Ravenclaw student—
