Douluo Continent: Starting by controlling the Holy Maiden of the Holy Spirit Cult

Chapter 77 The three women show their prowess

Finally, the afternoon finals arrived, and the atmosphere in the assessment area was very somber. In the original story, it was already the final round of the freshman assessment elimination tournament, and there should have been no student audience.

In the past, Shrek Academy's assessment system took into account the privacy of each student's abilities as much as possible, so assessments were never open to other students to watch.

Unlike the original storyline, the overall quality of this year's freshmen is too exaggerated. Not only are there two four-ring Soul Masters, but there are also many students with Soul Ring ratios that exceed the limit for their age.

To encourage students in the outer academy to improve their skills, this year's freshman assessment not only allowed other freshmen of the same year to observe the assessment, but also allowed other senior students from the outer academy who did not have classes to watch from the sidelines.

Almost all the teachers from the Foreign Languages Academy who were not teaching gathered in the assessment area to watch the competition, including most of the students. Shrek Academy Dean Yan Shaozhe also came in person and went up to the platform accompanied by Du Weilun and a group of teachers.

Don't underestimate this once-a-year freshman assessment, which takes place three months after the start of the semester. Almost all the students in the inner academy have stood out in the freshman assessment and were valued by the academy for comprehensive training.

The reason Dean Yan Shaozhe and many elders of the Sea God Pavilion came to watch the battle in person was because the strength of this year's freshmen was too abnormal. Generally speaking, even for students of Shrek Academy, it takes about three years to reach the third ring. At the same time, the third ring cultivation level is also a necessary condition for advancing from the third year to the fourth year.

As a result, the Fourth Ring Road team also failed in this fiercely competitive assessment. This demonstrates the high level of quality of this year's freshmen.

The elders of the Sea God Pavilion also wanted to see who the ultimate champion would be among this year's freshmen.

Comparatively, the elders of the Sea God Pavilion were more concerned about Wang Dong's team, having already heard Du Weilun's report. Wang Dong's team, relying on the strength of three Great Soul Masters, had achieved a series of victories, defeating the team led by Dai Huabin, a Soul Master with four Soul Rings. Among them, Wang Dong and Xiao Xiao's performance was absolutely stunning. As for Cao Jinxuan, the academy had guessed his background and was currently observing him.

"Wei Lun, who do you think will win today's match?" Yan Shaozhe asked the head of teaching affairs beside him with a smile.

Director Du Weilun chuckled and said, "I still favor Wang Dong's team. Although Ning Tian's team has defeated quite a few new teams, overall, they've had more luck, since they haven't encountered any teams worth paying attention to. Especially in the match against Xie Huanyue's team, their opponents forfeited, choosing to send them directly to the finals."

"So, it's very likely that their team's journey is coming to an end?" Yan Shaozhe picked up a form that clearly recorded Ning Tian and the others' grades when they enrolled.

"So they're from the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile School. No wonder they have level 30 soul power at such a young age. It's very likely that they've built it up with the resources of the sect."

Clearly, the only standout in Ning Tian's team is Ning Tian himself, a three-ringed spirit. While Wu Feng's Red Dragon Martial Soul is impressive, it's not particularly remarkable in Shrek Academy's environment teeming with monsters. As for Nanmen Yun'er's Jade Bird, it can only be described as ordinary.

As Yan Shaozhe was analyzing with a smile, a deep voice suddenly rang out: "Since Director Du is certain that Wang Dong's team will win, then I'll just say the other side will win."

Yan Shaozhe didn't turn around, but a hint of disdain appeared on his face. "Qian Duoduo, what are you doing here? As soon as I smelled that money-grubbing aura, I knew it was definitely you."

The newcomer was a robust man in his fifties. His angular face was wrinkle-free, but his thick, white hair, like steel needles, gave him a slightly weathered appearance. His tall, imposing figure seemed sculpted from granite, easily over two meters tall. Broad shoulders and a muscular back, his muscles showed no signs of aging, and his bronze skin reflected a metallic sheen in the sunlight, exuding a strong metallic aura. Beside him was Fan Yu, the girl whom Mu Jin, the homeroom teacher of Class Nine, had always admired.

Yan Shaozhe didn't turn around, but Du Weilun had already turned around. A hint of surprise flashed in his eyes, and then he quickly bowed and said, "Vice Dean Qian, hello. What brings you here?"

This burly vice dean, Qian Duoduo, is the one who oversees the daily affairs of the Soul Guidance Department. He holds a prestigious position second only to the department head, even higher than the Dean of Students, Du Weilun.

Just like in the original story, Qian Duoduo and Yan Shaozhe made a bet, hoping to select suitable students for their Soul Guidance Department. This time, because Huo Yuhao did not go to study in the Soul Guidance Department, the department only had He Caitou as a decent student, which can be said to be a small number.

In the original work, Qian Duoduo was indeed a person with great vision. In the unambitious Shrek Academy, he broke the narrow-mindedness of traditional soul masters and vigorously developed advanced soul tools, thus laying the foundation for Shrek Academy to not lag behind the Douluo Federation in the construction of soul tool facilities in subsequent works.

Huo Yuhao certainly didn't intend to learn soul tools at Shrek Academy. Not to mention how many detours he would have to take, even at the end of the original work, Huo Yuhao would at most be a level nine soul tool master. Shrek Academy's outdated soul tool theory had wasted a lot of his time.

The two teams, Ning Tian and Wang Dong, who participated in the competition, were naturally unaware that the final round of their freshman assessment elimination tournament had escalated to the point where the two deans made a bet.

Both sides arrived at the venue early, making preparations while observing each other in the distance.

For most of the new teams that had fought against Ning Tian and his two companions, their strength was still unclear. They only knew that after Ning Tian used the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda to amplify her companions, their own people were easily knocked away by the enhanced Wu Feng and Nanmen Yun'er.

Compared to Ning Tian's side being at their peak, Wang Dong's side was in a much worse state. Apart from Cao Jinxuan, whose soul power had not yet recovered, both Xiao Xiao and Wang Dong were fighting with injuries.

Cao Jinxuan glanced at his teammates beside him, feeling a surge of pride. It seemed that he would have to turn the tide in the final match and defeat all of Shrek's chosen ones single-handedly.

Yes, in this life, Cao Jinxuan joined the Body Sect before coming to Shrek Academy because of his companion-type second martial soul substitute. He also showed his talent of second awakening of the gold-level martial soul, completely overpowering all the younger generation of the Body Sect.

This is the source of his arrogance! Don't be fooled by the fact that his two spirit rings are only two and one ring respectively. With his domain-type control spirit skills and the strength of his main spirit, he can even fight against a four-ring spirit master. Dai Huabin's fate is the best illustration of this.

"Hey, you three girls over there! Remember my name!" Cao Jinxuan stood in the center of the group, adopting an arrogant and domineering posture, and shouted.

"I will," Ning Tian replied with a forced smile.

"Both trainees, get ready—" The referee clearly wasn't going to give them much of a chance to chat. One hand was already raised.

With the referee's whistle, the highly anticipated final round of the freshman assessment officially began.

"Sisters, activate your Martial Souls!" Ning Tian shouted first. "Eight Treasures Transformation Brings forth Glazed Glass—" The number one auxiliary weapon Martial Soul in the world, which has been passed down for ten thousand years, once again shone with its own light on Shrek Academy's territory.

"It's actually the Eight Treasures Glazed Tile Pagoda!" Many spectators exclaimed in surprise. In the previous competition, Ning Tian deliberately did not recite this soul incantation, so few people deliberately counted the number of layers of her evolved Eight Treasures Glazed Tile Pagoda.

At the same time, a pair of exquisite purple wings unfolded behind her, lifting her delicate body into the air.

"External Soul Bone!" Many knowledgeable academy teachers exclaimed, never expecting that this girl would obtain the rarest flying-type external soul bone. The Nine Treasure Glazed Tile School truly lives up to its reputation for wealth and power!

That day, after careful discussion among the three, it was finally decided that Ning Tian would absorb the external soul bone, the Purple Cloud Wings, to enhance her self-protection ability.

However, this was not the most terrifying thing, because the spirit rings that appeared under Ning Tian's feet were the four best-in-class combination of two yellow and two purple rings!

Another Soul Master!

Don't forget, after three months of sleeping together, not only did Huo Yuhao's team evolve their martial souls, but the three of them also received a huge boost!

As the atmosphere reached an unprecedented climax, Ning Tian and the other two girls couldn't help but look at Huo Yuhao in the audience with gentle eyes. It was this young man who brought them unexpected transformation and hope.

Since my heart already belongs to you, why should I hesitate to show my true colors?

Wu Feng's Red Dragon Martial Soul has evolved from its original lizard form into a true dragon form, while Nanmen Yun'er's Jade Bird Martial Soul has shrunk from half the size of her body to the size of a palm, exuding a fierce aura. Similarly, three spirit rings, two yellow and one purple, rose from beneath her feet.

"A true red dragon? A green demon bird?" Yan Shaozhe finally couldn't sit still any longer, his expression gradually changing from astonishment to horror.
