Battle Through the Heavens: Starting from the Jia Ma Empire

Chapter 56 Departure

"howl"

Outside Utan City, in a vast open space, a row of tall griffins stood side by side, roaring loudly, giving a group of young people who had just entered school quite a fright.

Meanwhile, Instructor Ruolin led Lin Feng and Little Fairy Doctor ahead, introducing them to each other. It seemed that the tall griffin had given her confidence, and she was no longer as reserved as she had been with Lin Feng that day.

"This is the exclusive mount used by Canaan Academy for its teachers and students to go on training expeditions. What do you think, Mr. Lin Feng?"

Meanwhile, the many veteran law enforcement trainees and new recruits who were lagging behind kept their distance from the three, as if the three were a raging flood.

Recalling what happened this morning, everyone's eyes trembled involuntarily. Then, they glanced at the stretcher behind them and their expressions tightened again, their steps becoming even lighter.

Unexpectedly, the law enforcement team had such an idiot who got drunk during a mission and, to make matters worse, went berserk when Lin Feng and his companion arrived to report for duty, even trying to harass Little Fairy Doctor.

Unexpectedly, Lin Feng's cold gaze caused him to kneel down, his lower body bones shattered.

Hearing the commotion, everyone thought someone had dared to attack the camp, so they quickly came out of their tents to find out what was going on.

They all looked at each other, unsure of what to do. It wasn't that the enforcement team had never encountered such a situation before. If it were an ordinary person, they would naturally capture both sides and wait for the higher-ups to handle the matter fairly. However, seeing Lin Feng's terrifying aura, the members of the enforcement team wisely kept silent.

"What happened?"

Just then, a gentle and charming voice rang in everyone's ears, and then they saw the beautiful Ruolin walking slowly towards them, still wearing a light blue robe.

But at this moment, no one was in the mood to appreciate it. A female student quickly approached Ruolin's ear and whispered something.

"this"

Ruolin was stunned, not expecting such a thing to happen. She didn't know how to resolve the situation, after all, she knew that Lin Feng was a Dou Wang level expert, not someone she could command. If things weren't handled properly, and he became enraged, she didn't know how many of the people present would survive.

"This matter is the fault of Gao Chong, a member of the enforcement team. As the face of Canaan Academy, how could he cause such a mess? After he is treated, let the enforcement team handle it themselves."

Just as Instructor Ruolin was caught in a dilemma, a stern voice rang out in everyone's ears. It was Elder Hu, who had been hiding nearby. That's right, ever since Lin Feng arrived, this long-bearded elder had been hiding in the vicinity.

However, Elder Hu dared not lower his guard before Lin Feng genuinely joined the academy. If the academy suffered heavy losses due to his carelessness, he would be held responsible.

"Greetings, Elder Hu. It was indeed my fault."

Seeing that Elder Hu handled the matter impartially, Lin Feng was not one to be ungrateful, so he took the opportunity to back down. Afterwards, everyone became somewhat reserved around Lin Feng.

Although they knew that Lin Feng hadn't provoked them first, everyone still kept their distance from him, given that he could easily kill Gao Chong, who was at the same level as them.

The scene shifts, and Lin Feng gives Ruolin, the instructor, some face, since Little Fairy Doctor is still in his class.

"As expected of the exclusive mount of Gama Academy, it is indeed magnificent. Starting as a second-tier magical beast, it truly lives up to the reputation of Canaan Academy, which dominates the Black Corner Region."

In response to Lin Feng's praise, Instructor Ruolin was sensible enough to refrain from any outrageous behavior in front of him, despite feeling proud of the academy.

Time passed in casual conversation. After packing everything up, Elder Hu, who had been hiding, reappeared and announced the official departure to return to Canaan Academy.

"howl"

A row of tall and majestic griffins roared to the sky, then lowered their heads at Elder Hu's command, waiting for everyone to climb onto their backs.

"ah"

A scream rang out as the newly recruited student from Wutan City accidentally fell from the griffin's back, sustaining a minor but not insignificant scar.

"Attention, freshmen! The back of the griffin is extremely smooth. You must control your fighting spirit and focus it on the soles of your feet to avoid being thrown off."

At this moment, a veteran member of the enforcement team spoke up to clarify the situation. After hearing the veteran's words, the new students suddenly understood. Although some new students still accidentally fell from time to time, none of them sustained any injuries.

"What does Mr. Lin Feng think of this first lesson before enrollment?"

"That's good. It shows that Canaan Academy values students' practical skills. Being able to skillfully attach battle qi to their feet can lay a very solid foundation for mastering combat techniques in the future."

Ruolin wasn't surprised that Lin Feng could grasp the true meaning of the lesson at a glance; the insight of a Dou Wang expert was unmatched by ordinary people. Even though this Dou Wang was indeed quite young.

After a slight smile, Instructor Ruolin turned to the two students who had almost all climbed onto the griffin's back.

"It's almost time, Mr. Lin Feng, Little Fairy Doctor, let's go up too!"

Lin Feng shook his head slightly at Ruolin's invitation. With a puzzled look in his eyes, he took out a flute from his storage ring and slowly blew out strange sound waves that spread in all directions.

"howl"

However, the griffins seemed to sense something, their expressions becoming agitated as they roared incessantly. Fortunately, the veteran trainees of the enforcement team reacted quickly and pulled the new trainees back in time; otherwise, a large number of them would have fallen.

"All alert!"

A loud shout came from the back of a third-tier griffin. It was a middle-aged man covered in battle aura armor. He was the old captain of the enforcement team. After all, the academy was not comfortable letting a group of young people cross the Black Corner Region, which was surrounded by wolves, on their own.

Besides the elders secretly assigned to fight, they also need to be accompanied by senior members of the enforcement team who are dedicated to law enforcement. This can be considered a form of teaching by example. After several rounds of recruitment, these young prospective enforcement team members will quickly mature and become qualified enforcement team members.

"howl"

Everyone heard a voice that was both unfamiliar and familiar, followed by a huge shadow that swept over their heads.

"Mr. Lin Feng truly deserves to be called a once-in-a-century genius of the Jia Ma Empire. Even his mount has reached the fourth tier. It makes this old man feel ashamed."

Elder Hu, who had been hiding somewhere, came out again with a sigh, and then shouted at the many members of the law enforcement team and the new students.

"What kind of disorderly behavior is this? All of you, quiet down!"

Seeing the elders of the academy there, the crowd calmed down, but their eyes still kept glancing at the griffin in the sky that exuded a terrifying aura.

"Elder Hu, I'm used to riding the 'Dazzling Dance' griffon, but I don't really like riding other griffons."

"That's fine. We might even need to borrow the power of this fourth-tier magical beast when we pass through some areas." Elder Hu waved his hand, indicating that Lin Feng could do as he pleased.

After greeting Elder Hu and Instructor Ruolin, he wrapped his arms around Little Fairy Doctor's slender waist, took a step, and leaped onto the glittering platform. This caused another gasp from the crowd. They hadn't expected that the griffin exuding the aura of a fourth-tier magical beast was actually Lin Feng's mount, which further reinforced their impression that Lin Feng was someone not to be trifled with.

Once all the students were ready, Instructor Ruolin, standing atop a third-tier magical beast, gave a delicate shout.

"All units, prepare for takeoff. Target: Canaan Academy!"

Well, this chapter is all filler. I originally intended to just say it in one sentence, but I'm so addicted to mobile games that I've stretched it into a whole chapter in fits and starts. I'm very sorry.
