The Bard of Hogwarts

Chapter 30 Malfoy's Counterattack

Chapter 30 Malfoy's Counterattack

"How could they do this... Scarface clearly broke school rules, I'm going to write to my dad!"

In the dormitory, Malfoy complained loudly.

Three days have passed since the last flying lesson, and after a series of cool maneuvers, Harry was successfully taken away by Professor McGonagall on the spot.

Just when everyone thought Harry would be severely punished, the plot took a dramatic turn.

Harry was not only exceptionally selected for the school's Quidditch team, but also took on the important role of Seeker.

When the news reached Slytherin, Malfoy's defenses were instantly breached.

Just yesterday afternoon, he was in the common room discussing with everyone, speculating about what kind of punishment Harry would receive.

As a result, he was slapped in the face in the blink of an eye. He barely managed to suppress his anger and returned to his dormitory. At this moment, Malfoy could no longer hold back.

Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall, Neville (the instigator), the Gryffindors watching the spectacle, and even Harry's owl became the targets of his insults.

I listened to Malfoy grumbling and complaining for more than half an hour.

Ino could no longer hold back.

"Draco, do you know why the symbol of Slytherin is the snake?"

"Because even if snakes fail, they will not be discouraged or complain. They will only hide in the shadows and prepare silently, cultivating strength, resilience and determination in the shadow of adversity, and then find the right time to strike a fatal blow."

In the dormitory, the bard's unique tone when telling stories captivated Malfoy's attention.

"Its eyes are so clear and deep, its body is winding and graceful, and its tail is agile and swaying. Every sway reveals its unpredictability and the wisdom of survival in adapting to the environment."

"Draco, remember you're a true Slytherin! So don't try to be like those toads; they're all talk and no action."

Instead of directly persuading him, Ino used anthropomorphic metaphors, subtly praising Malfoy while cleverly shifting his focus.

Sure enough, the effect was immediate.

Malfoy seemed to fall for this trick; he thought about it quietly for a while, then suddenly slapped his thigh.

"You're right! I'm a Slytherin, and I'm going to find a chance to teach Scarface a lesson he'll never forget..."

No one knows what Malfoy was thinking, but his eyes grew brighter and brighter, and two unnatural blushes even appeared on his cheeks.

"Looks like you've figured it out! Congratulations, a true Slytherin. But it's getting late, so go to sleep if you don't have anything else to do."

Seeing that Malfoy had stopped complaining, Ino didn't hold back his praise.

Oh, and don't forget to wake me up tomorrow morning!

After saying that, he pulled down his bed curtains and ignored Malfoy beside him.

……

Time always slips away quietly in peaceful days.

Before we knew it, two whole weeks of the first academic year had passed.

During this time, Ino not only became familiar with Hogwarts, but also found his own rhythm in life.

Aside from the classroom and library, which are my two main places every day.

For the rest of the time, he mostly practiced magic in his dormitory or went to the astronomical tower to watch the sunrise while chanting to himself.

When talking about chanting, one must mention the accompanying instruments.

Although he had overestimated the magic as much as possible, he was still amazed by the automatically playing accordion.

The accordion I bought in Diagon Alley for 10 Galleons before the start of the school year was more than perfect than I expected. It not only plays automatically, but it can also recognize sounds and store and arrange music in one integrated way.

On one occasion, he casually hummed Schubert's Serenade.

As a result, the accordion automatically recognized the tune and stored it according to the five-line, seven-note system.

It's practically a multi-functional recorder that can play music on repeat anytime, anywhere.

……

Slytherin dormitory.

After finishing her classes for the day, Ino quietly leaned back in her chair to rest.

Beside him lay an open book titled "Practical Magic for the Home."

That's right, family magic.

This isn't a Muggle book like "British Housewife," which teaches people how to do laundry, cook, and clean.

In some ways, the book "Practical Magic for the Home" published by Mumu Publishing is far more valuable than "Standard Spells".

It could even be considered an encyclopedia of spells, because it not only contains a wide variety of spells, but also includes methods and techniques for casting them.

Half an hour later.

Ino slowly opened her eyes, waved her wand, and made the accordion play a soothing melody.

I listen to music, read books, and practice magic every day.

To be honest, he's already starting to love Slytherin's privileges.

If I were to be sorted into Gryffindor, given the Gryffindor dormitories described in the original books, let alone practicing magic, even being able to quietly do my homework would probably be a luxury.

After all, no one can expect loud, energetic lion cubs to become well-behaved.

"Bang!"

Just as Ino was about to change the song, the dormitory door was violently pushed open.

"I just sent Scarface a duel challenge in the auditorium, and he accepted. It'll be at midnight tonight in the prize room."

Back in his dorm, Malfoy rushed off, recounting his recent experience: how he had terrified Harry to the point of speechlessness, and how Weasley was only fit to stand by and echo his words…

"By the way, can you come with me tonight? Be my assistant, and we can teach Scarface and his henchmen a lesson."

"Sorry! I won't break the school rules." Ino refused without even thinking.

Are you kidding? If the acceptance letter is the key to the magical path, then the midnight duel must be the sign that the adventure has begun.

Heaven knows how many eyes will be watching this duel in the dark.

He had managed to keep a low profile for over half a month, barely fading from public view. Only a fool would jump out and become the center of attention again.

In contrast, Malfoy seemed to have expected this outcome and was not angry about Ino's refusal.

"Alright! Then we'll have to go with my plan. Ha! Scarface's finished... oh yeah, and that Weasley too!"

Seeing Malfoy lost in some kind of self-absorbed state, sitting there with a silly grin on his face.

Faced with such a bizarre scene, Ino instinctively stood up, picked up the accordion beside her, and walked towards the door without looking back.

……

Public lounge.

"Mr. Swinburne! Are you going out?"

As Yinuo stepped out of the dormitory, she heard a crisp sound behind her and immediately stopped.

"Good afternoon, Miss Parkinson and Miss Greengrass!"

Standing before him were two girls from the same grade, Pansy and Daphne.

To be honest, these two girls are quite the prominent figures of this year.

Although the original work doesn't describe the two girls much, after spending time with them, Ino knows very well that neither of the girls in front of him is someone to be trifled with.

This is not to say that the two girls are bad, but rather that they have inherited the Slytherin spirit: shrewd, cunning, yet elegant.

……

"So you're going out to practice?"

As she spoke, Pansy's eyes involuntarily drifted to the accordion beside her.

Daphne, standing nearby, chimed in jokingly, "I wonder if we'd have the honor of hearing you play a piece?"

"Alright! It would be my pleasure." After thinking for a moment, Ino agreed.

Since he has chosen to keep a low profile and integrate into Slytherin, he really can't be too unconventional; appropriate social interaction is essential.

Sometimes, excessive modesty is a form of unconventional self-expression.

"Although I don't yet have mastered the playing technique, I can tell you a very interesting story."

Ino put down her accordion and found a quiet corner in the common lounge to sit down.

New book release, a new journey begins. Thank you to all the big names for your support.
