The Bard of Hogwarts

Chapter 56 The Second Interaction with the Principal

Chapter 56 The Second Exchange with the Principal

"Professor! It is human nature to seek advantage and avoid harm. The difference is that the diviner can see clearly and thus make the corresponding choice."

After Dumbledore finished speaking, Ino decisively refuted him.

"You know what? I've been at Hogwarts for the past few months, and I've often strolled through the corridors, so I came across a very interesting portrait. He calls himself Sir Kagando."

"You're probably familiar with his story. So I'd like to say... we can't expect everyone to be like this 'brave' knight, rushing headlong into the dragon's mouth without hesitation."

At this point, Ino stopped.

Similarly, he is now absolutely certain that the divination he performed for Harry was once again captured by some hidden surveillance camera.

He had some suspicions about Dumbledore's ability to monitor the castle in real time, which is why he deliberately used Sir Cagando as an example earlier.

"Haha, that's right! The portraits told me about your fortune-telling for Harry." Dumbledore chuckled and winked.

The mind-reading-like response, coupled with the unexpected candor, left one momentarily speechless.

"Professor! Actually, I..."

"No need to explain! Just consider this something I wanted to tell you on purpose. By the way! This isn't Legilimency, you can rest assured about that," Dumbledore said first.

Before Ino could react, she heard Dumbledore's slightly puzzled voice.

"Your magic seems to be very special. It's like it's protecting you. Anything that tries to pry into your heart, whether it's a wizard or an alchemical tool, will be attacked by it. The frozen mirror is the best proof of that."

Special magic? Upon hearing this, Ino was also taken aback.

But he quickly realized that it seemed to be true what Dumbledore had said. After all, while the Mirror of Erised could reflect one's inner self, it was also, in other words, a form of spying.

"Professor, I don't understand any of this." Faced with such profound questions, he always asked without hesitation.

"That's perfectly normal. No one can understand the mysteries of magic, including me. But you can rest assured that although your situation is special, it's harmless, like a protective magic."

As if recalling something, Dumbledore said with a touch of emotion, "Just like the Dumbledore family, they always receive help from the phoenix when they need it most."

"Guardian magic? Bloodline?" Ino murmured, gradually falling into deep thought.

He had probably figured out the reason for the matter, but he also had new doubts. Perhaps being too emotional was really just being willful?

However, upon closer reflection, this seems to fit the White Witch's personality. After all, it's not incomprehensible that someone who gets angry just from listening to a story would do something so bizarre.

Moreover, a true empress would probably do whatever she pleased.

Relief, doubt, inquiry, incomprehension... Once these thoughts arise, they are like weeds in the wilderness, impossible to burn, impossible to eradicate, endless.

However, Dumbledore seemed to truly possess mind-reading abilities, once again accurately guessing Ino's thoughts.

"Why not let go of things you can't understand now, or leave them for later?"

"Professor, I don't necessarily want to get to the answer to this, because some things simply don't have an answer..."

He paused mid-sentence, realizing that his explanation was just a casual remark from his long career as a bard.

But now that I think about it... maybe that's really how it is. Some things in life may never have an answer.

"See! I didn't even need to convince you; you convinced yourself." Dumbledore spread his hands, his expression seemingly innocent.

"Hahahaha, yes! I've convinced myself."

After figuring it out, Ino laughed heartily, "If my accordion weren't in my dorm room, we really should play some music right now."

"I have one!" Dumbledore exclaimed smugly, looking just like a child showing off his new toy to another child.

"After leaving the tower last time, I went to Diagon Alley and bought the same one, but... it just can't play the same song as before."

As he spoke, Dumbledore tapped the table with the Elder Wand, casting another silent summoning spell.

On the other side, Ino also saw an accordion suddenly appear in the air, which was exactly the same as his accordion in both shape and form.

The only difference is that a pink ribbon is tied around the corner of the accordion in front of you.

……

As the soft music began, the accordion melody seemed to become a kind of time magic, merging the past that happened here with the present moment.

The abandoned classroom in the musical piece seems to come alive at this moment, telling its own story.

The laughter, tears, dreams, and disappointments of the young wizards who once took classes here, and the mottled walls and messy desks and chairs, have become the remaining testaments.

Time seemed to have been paused.

a long time.

"Professor, to be honest, I don't really like philosophy. In his later years, after Socrates was imprisoned in a dungeon, he drank hemlock and said his last words before his death: 'I will die, and you will live. As for whose path is better, only God knows.'"

Here, Ino paused for a moment.

After their conversation, he no longer dared to underestimate the wisdom of this centenarian.

Similarly, the figure who jumped from the tower without hesitation is also a great pity.

"Ino, whatever you've seen, what I want to say is that everything that happens in the future is meant to happen."

Dumbledore seemed to understand, but did not accept it.

These words dissuaded Ino from trying to persuade him, since the future had not yet happened.

Moreover, many things cannot be changed simply by standing aside and spouting a few philosophical words.

Ultimately, the real reason for Dumbledore's death was his longing for his family and half a century of hard work, which led him to consider giving up.

As a top-tier white wizard, one who is unparalleled in the entire magical world, how could he not see the curse on the resurrection stone ring?

Perhaps it was truly family ties that triumphed over reason.

In short, this centenarian embarked on another adventurous path.

Thinking of this, Ino sighed softly, "Alright, I respect your choice. I respect everyone's choice."

"Thank you, Ino," Dumbledore said.

Although neither of them said it explicitly, they both understood what they were talking about.

After a moment, Dumbledore seemed to remember something and leaned forward slightly.

"I saw your name on the holiday registration form. I'm sorry, but I wanted to say that if you can't find accommodation in Hogsmeade, or need any other help, please remember to write to me."

Upon hearing this, Ino's eyes lit up slightly.

Because he suddenly thought of a problem that wasn't particularly difficult, but still very much needed to be solved.

"Professor, is any kind of help acceptable? If so, I really do need your assistance."

New book release, a new journey begins. Thank you to all the big names for your support.
