The Bard of Hogwarts

Chapter 65 Hermione's Admonition

Chapter 65 Hermione's Admonition

Professor Sprout's explanation was like a pebble thrown into a still lake, creating ripples in Ino's heart.

After a brief moment of thought, he quickly remembered the ice-blue rose he once knew, but the terracotta pot was filled with the berries he had collected.

One is a wild grass growing in a valley, and the other is a flower blooming in a castle. The two seem unlikely to have any connection.

For a while, Ino couldn't figure it out either, but he was very happy after learning the correct planting method.

"Thank you for your help, Professor Sprout!"

Upon hearing this, Professor Sprout smiled and waved his hand:

"It's nothing. If you have any questions about planting in the future, you can come to me. Don't worry, I welcome every Hogwarts student who loves herbs."

Hufflepuff's inclusiveness was perfectly demonstrated at this moment.

……

After confirming the answer, Ino picked up the ceramic pot on the table and left the greenhouse with light steps, since Professor Sprout had already begun preparing for the next herbal medicine class.

We walked along the castle walls.

However, just as he was about to turn the corner, his eyes inadvertently caught sight of a familiar figure.

Hermione was standing alone a short distance away, her head down, intently kicking at the pebbles on the ground with her toes.

He seemed to be waiting for someone, appearing somewhat nonchalant overall. Each time he kicked a pebble, it drew an arc in the air before landing on the lawn not far away with a soft sound.

Seeing this, Ino strode over.

"What's wrong with Miss Granger? Instead of studying, she's wasting precious time wandering around here. The final exams are in less than five weeks."

Hearing the familiar voice beside her, Hermione immediately looked up, and a surprised smile bloomed on her face.

"I've been waiting for you for ages! And I've already finished reviewing. But you, I haven't seen you lately. If we didn't go to class together all the time, I would have thought you were hurt by...that person."

Although it was a joke, the words revealed a deep concern.

No name was mentioned, but he knew who Hermione was talking about.

Sometimes, what you see is not the truth, and what you know is just the tip of the iceberg...

Before Ino could finish speaking, Hermione interrupted, and then, as if a switch had been flipped, began to recite:

"You can never truly understand a person unless you put yourself in their shoes and walk around in their shoes; try to see things from their perspective. But when you actually walk the path they once walked, you feel sad even breathing..."

"It's from 'To Kill a Mockingbird,' a book I've read."

Hermione proudly raised her head, as if waiting for praise.

After a moment, as if he had thought of something, he continued to warn, "But this time you really have to be careful of Snape. I have solid evidence."

"Alright, alright! I'll stay away from Snape." Ino sighed and shook her head helplessly.

Hermione is really stubborn and inflexible at this stage.

So he didn't plan to say anything more; Quirrell would teach Hermione a lesson.

"Ino, believe me! I'm telling the truth. And even if everyone else lies to you, I won't lie to you."

Hermione slowly raised her head, her eyes sparkling with sincerity, and a hint of barely concealed shyness in them.

"Let me tell you a story." Faced with the stubborn Hermione, he decided to help Quirrell deepen his classroom education.

"That voice comes from within ourselves. It's not Shakespeare; it doesn't deliver memorable lines. But our hearts always tell us bluntly what's right and wrong, when to leave and when to move on..."

"So, Hermione! Trust your heart, don't trust what you see."

Ino looked up at the castle. Standing near the greenhouse and looking at the main castle building, it was completely different from what he saw when he stood on the shore of the Black Lake. The difference between the two was really huge.

"Yes! I believe you. I will think carefully and listen to my inner voice."

Hermione spoke softly, but one could always detect the solemnity and seriousness in her tone.

"That would be perfect!" Ino turned her gaze back from the distance.

Throughout the seven stories, he has always admired Hermione for her composure under pressure, her unwavering courage, and her loyalty to her friends.

Admittedly, Hermione has many flaws, but... who doesn't have flaws?

……

The two of them stayed there quietly.

After a while, Hermione seemed to remember something and suddenly asked:

"What are your plans for summer vacation? My dad said at Christmas that he plans to travel to France this summer, but I'm a little reluctant to go."

Summer vacation plans?

Upon hearing this, Ino was somewhat dazed. He had originally planned to go abroad to buy a flying carpet, but after talking with Malfoy, he roughly knew that it was unlikely that it would be sold in Europe.

If you really want to buy a flying carpet, you might have to go to a country like Egypt or Türkiye.

Although many thoughts were swirling in his mind, he actually didn't have any plans for the summer vacation.

With that in mind, Ino decided not to hide it.

"I don't have any plans right now. I'll probably stay in Hogsmeade like I do during the Christmas holidays, maybe going to Diagon Alley in the middle because I'm planning to buy a flying broomstick."

"I'm not going to France. How about I go with you to choose a broom? Also... I've never been to Hogsmeade. They say it's beautiful, and I want to go see it."

Hermione blurted out her truest thoughts in an instant.

But she quickly realized that this seemed rather unreserved, but she couldn't take back what she had said, so she immediately lowered her head again and stopped talking.

Her face was completely hidden by her thick, long brown hair.

On the other side, Ino noticed Hermione's change and roughly guessed the reason, which was nothing more than the traditional reserve and shyness of English girls.

But he didn't intend to tease Hermione about this, lest the little lion get angry in the end.

"We'll see during summer vacation. I'll write to you. If you're not going to France, then we can visit Hogsmeade together."

Upon hearing this, Hermione's previously quiet demeanor vanished, replaced by a burst of energy.

"Okay! It's settled then! I also plan to buy an owl. This year I can exchange 30 Galleons in Gringotts. If I'm careful, I should be able to save enough money by next year."

Upon hearing Hermione's words, Ino almost burst out laughing. Saving money in the second year? It would be a miracle if she didn't go hungry; that's a whole set of bestselling novels by a popular author.

Moreover, it is clear that Lockhart had done his research and that, aside from other necessities, his books would essentially exhaust the 30 Galleons annual allowance for new Muggle students.

Thinking of this, Ino spoke up:

"I'll exchange it for you. It won't be a lot, but it'll still be 50 Galleons."

As for whether Hermione was rich, he wasn't worried at all.

Hermione has a father who is a dentist who runs a private clinic. What she lacks is not pounds, but the amount of Galleons she can exchange.

New book release, a new journey begins. Thank you to all the big names for your support.
