The Bard of Hogwarts

Chapter 92 The Frozen Classroom

Chapter 92 The Frozen Classroom

Winter is coming!

Ino stood up, her wand waving as she pointed to the sky.

As the incantation rang out, the entire classroom seemed to be torn apart by a mysterious force, and the previously restless Billywig swarm of insects calmed down.

In a fleeting moment, the room seemed to undergo a time-space distortion, and the originally bright surrounding light dimmed.

The temperature around us suddenly dropped, making everyone feel as if they were in a cold winter evening.

The walls, floors, ceilings, and even the tables and chairs were visibly covered with a thick layer of white frost.

Snowflakes began to fall in the air, then more and more snowflakes appeared, growing larger and larger, until the entire classroom was transformed into a world of ice and snow.

Accompanying the falling snow was a howling wind, the wind carrying the icy snow, making the classroom doors, windows, and tables rattle.

Faced with this sudden change, the young wizards huddled together, some trying to block the blizzard with their hands, while others stared wide-eyed at this magical miracle.

The blizzard came quickly and went quickly.

Seeing the Billywig worms falling like raindrops in the cold sky, Ino stopped the magic.

After all, the problem has been solved, and continuing would only cause collateral damage.

Although the magic had been stopped, the snowflakes suspended in the air, guided by inertia, continued to swirl around his body, each one seemingly transformed into a loyal guardian.

Snowflakes danced in the air, and under the influence of magic, each snowflake seemed to carry a crystalline glow.

A black robe, white snowflakes.

Time seemed to stand still at that moment.

Unlike the Ravenclaws' profound contemplation, the Lytrists in the classroom had a different kind of gleam in their eyes.

Pansy, especially at the back table, had a strange glint in her eyes, seemingly a mixture of obsession and fanaticism.

……

"What are you waiting for? Quickly, please bring our beloved professor back!"

In the quiet classroom, Ino was the first to break the silence.

His words seemed to have a magical power; a Ravenclaw girl sitting in the first row near the door stood up without thinking and walked towards the door.

One minute later.

"Ha! You guys did a better job than I expected, you know? I almost intervened just now, but thankfully you didn't disappoint me."

Before he even entered the classroom, his signature flamboyant voice reached everyone's ears.

"Oh ho..." Lockhart walked in, looking incredulously at the classroom that seemed frozen in place, and exclaimed in surprise.

"Fantastic! I was right after all. Using 1X Billywig bugs to test you was definitely much safer than using 2X Cornwall County sprites!"

Lockhart, who never forgets to boast, only noticed the only standing figure in the room after a round of self-praise.

"By the way, child, what's your name?"

"Ino! Ino Svenburn," Ino replied calmly.

"Very good, really good! Mr. Swinburne has perfectly dealt with these troublesome little ones under my tutelage, therefore Slytherin gets 10 points."

Lockhart's voice was somewhat excited, as if after two consecutive weeks of setbacks, he had finally proven his teaching abilities.

……

Although the farcical class ended, it left a deep impression on many young wizards.

After class, everyone left the classroom one after another.

"Ino, your magic was so cool! You used this to freeze me last time, didn't you?"

Despite being hurt, Draco's tone somehow revealed a hint of pride and self-satisfaction.

Before he could answer, a gentle voice sounded from behind him.

"Ino, I also have some books at home about the Snowmaking Charm and the Freezing Charm. I'll bring them to you next time."

Pansy stood quietly beside the two of them, her tone as gentle and soothing as a breeze in April, lightly brushing against their faces.

"Books!" Ino suddenly realized, then looked at Pansy apologetically, "Sorry! I forgot to return that Sunshine Spell to you!"

It was his fault. He had actually finished reading the book before summer vacation, but somehow he forgot about it.

"It's alright! It doesn't matter. If that book were mine, I would have given it to you already," Pansy said with a smile that remained unchanged, seemingly not caring at all.

"But that was my mistake, I'll find it when I get back. As for the snow-making and freezing spells you mentioned, I'm actually quite interested in them. Anyway, thank you."

Ino replied politely. He was also very curious about the two spells and took this opportunity to refer to them. After all, there was nothing wrong with learning by analogy.

Speaking of spells, we have to mention Hogwarts' "happy education." For seven whole years, the young wizards learned less than 50 spells, or even fewer.

After all, many spells are learned repeatedly, such as summoning spells and healing spells, which are essentially learned from first grade to seventh grade.

Miranda Gossack's original "Standard Spells" was placed in the forbidden section and shelved because it contained too much harmful magic and was not suitable for young wizards to read.

Meanwhile, after receiving a positive response, Pansy smiled faintly and said, "I'll go back and write home now, so I won't disturb your conversation any longer."

Watching Pansy's retreating figure, Draco murmured unconsciously:

"Have you noticed? She seems to have changed. Suddenly."

"Has she changed?" Ino glanced at Pansy's back with a puzzled look. "Maybe the Billiewig bug scared her just now, but I think it's a good thing."

"Good news?" Draco asked, his voice full of doubt.

"Yes! That's good." Ino nodded firmly, then said:

"Like a rose that was originally thorny, it gradually sheds its sharp exterior and becomes calm and reserved. It's a kind of growth, a transformation from external hardness and sharpness to inner resilience and strength."

"I don't really understand it, but it sounds impressive." Draco shrugged indifferently, seemingly unconcerned about the matter.

"Ino, with this 10 points, you've already added 125 points in just two weeks since the start of the semester. It looks like we can win the Academy Cup again this year."

Seeing Draco's slightly smug expression, Ino smiled noncommittally.

Perhaps this is what student life is all about.

It is always full of countless treasured experiences, and that is its unique charm.

The young wizards give their all and work tirelessly for the Academy Cup, a goal that seems to have no tangible reward.

It's like going to an amusement park when you're 12 years old—you feel excited, curious, and want to share it with others. But when you go to an amusement park at 32, you just watch quietly, and you no longer have that feeling.

The young wizards laughed or cried, felt joy or sorrow, but they did not waste their time as students.

"Draco, you're right! There's a high chance no one will be able to take the House Cup from us this year, because the castle is safe!"

Ino spoke with certainty.

At this moment, he no longer viewed the Academy Cup with a mature mindset, but instead chose to join the game.

After all, some things are gone forever and can never be brought back; all that remains are memories.

New book release, a new journey begins. Thank you to all the big names for your support!
