Chapter 48: Departure

Their eyes met, and Rosie nodded amicably to Joshua, who returned the gesture with a nod.

Nicole asked, "Should we go say hello?"

Rosie nodded: "Go ahead."

After all, we're all from Elemental Castle, and we all came to the Wizarding World together. Since we've run into each other outside, we should at least show some courtesy.

Rosie then pulled Nicole along and walked over there.

"Are you Joshua's apprentice?"

Joshua's apprentice turned his head, said nothing, but nodded slightly, displaying an attitude of keeping people at arm's length.

Luo Xi and Nicole exchanged a furtive glance. They both sensed the domineering aura of this genius, which was definitely not something they, as lowly soldiers, could approach. So they quickly left.

Thinking this, Luo Xi simply said, "It was nice to meet you. Well then, goodbye."

That's considered a proper greeting.

Just as they were about to make their escape, Joshua, who had been silent, suddenly spoke up: "I recognize you, Roshi Herat."

"Eh?"

Luo Xi, who was about to leave, unexpectedly turned around, wondering what she had done to deserve this.

Joshua said casually, "Three years ago, we came to the Wizarding World together by ship. In the apprentice assessment before disembarking, you got the same score as me, 98 points. You were the only apprentice who could catch up with me at that time."

"He's also the only one who's caught up with me in the three years I've been in the wizarding world."

Wow, you're still thinking about it? Surely not?

Rosie chuckled, "Ah, I didn't expect that Joshua's apprentice would still remember my name. Haha, it's a real honor."

He was just being polite, but Joshua took it seriously.

"It is indeed your honor," he said with an air of superiority. "After all, being able to stand on equal footing with me is already a remarkable achievement."

This guy's gone mad from all that cultivation!

Joshua's gaze then fell on Rosie's chest, lingering on the badge depicting the two Tree of Wisdom pieces and a Spirit Fruit: "Intermediate Apprentice, four Will Runes. Is this all you've accomplished in the past three years? It seems luck hasn't always been on your side."

He pointed to his chest, where the badge prominently displayed three leaves of wisdom and one fruit of spirit, signifying his status as a high-ranking apprentice with seven runes of will.

Luo Xi was speechless for a moment.

Nicole said discontentedly, "Hey, what are you so arrogant about? We were just being nice and said hello, and you keep nagging. So what if you cultivate faster? What's the big deal?"

Joshua glanced at her, then turned his head away without saying a word, as if he wouldn't talk to someone mentally challenged.

Nicole jumped up and down in anger: "You!"

Rosie quickly grabbed her, then hastily greeted Joshua and, without waiting for his reply, pulled Nicole aside. If they continued talking, they would surely start fighting.

I never imagined that such a genius would have such a twisted personality.

"Waaaaah!!!~~~"

Just then, a deep whistle sounded from afar, and a train resembling an 18th-century steam train came towards the sea, its tall chimneys billowing thick smoke that left a long trail on the water.

The seawater on the tracks parted to both sides, and two shallow waves surged onto the platform not far away from the calm sea.

"Bang!"

The train came to a smooth stop in front of the platform.

Immediately, a gold-plated frog covered in metal parts and wearing a train conductor's hat hopped from the driver's cab onto the locomotive, holding a large megaphone and shouting towards the platform:

"Quack quack, time to check tickets and board!"

"Quack quack, time to check tickets and board!"

The crowd surged toward the various entrances to the carriages, and Rosie pulled Nicole along with them onto the train.

Similarly, spatial magic was widely used in this train. Outside was a long, narrow train, but inside were a maze of intersecting corridors.

Based on the location on their tickets, Rosie and Nicole quickly found their room, number 8013, in the corridor.

The room is spacious, about 20 square meters. In the middle is a double bed that is about three meters wide. On the right side against the wall is a huge window with an unobstructed view of the outside scenery. When you open the window, you can feel the salty sea breeze and the seawater is within reach.

Below the car window was a round table and two white chairs with backrests, so they could sit there and enjoy the scenery.

"Wow, it's so beautiful!"

Nicole was immediately drawn to the interior of the room. Like a curious child on a first trip, she ran to the window, opened it, and stuck her head out to look around.

"Luo Xi, come here quickly! Wow, look, the sea outside is so close to us! I can reach out and touch the seawater below."

Rosie stood next to Nicole. Indeed, such scenery was rare, and such a novel experience was not something that could be had every day. Riding a train on the sea was something Rosie had never even imagined before.

Suddenly he felt that spending those five hundred magic stones was totally worth it.

While admiring the magnificent sea view outside, Rosie's right arm, which was around Nicole, slowly slid down from her shoulder and slipped inside her bra.

Nicole said in a coquettish tone, "Hey, if you're looking at the scenery, just look at the scenery. What are you doing?"

Luo Xi wasn't embarrassed at all, and shamelessly said, "Isn't it good to enjoy the scenery while doing something fun?"

As he spoke, he pressed Nicole against the windowsill and lifted her skirt up.

"You lecherous bastard!"

Nicole gave a coquettish scolding, letting Rosie do as she pleased, while simultaneously sticking her butt up a little in cooperation.

A short while later, "Hmm..."

at the same time.

As Rosie gazed at the receding dock, the land that had sustained him for three years, he looked towards the distance.

This land will be away for a while.

Blackstone Castle, the Earl's bedroom.

"Count, my mother and I will go take a bath first."

"Go."

In the spacious bedroom, Count Fernandez lay comfortably on the large bed, with Carol no longer beside him.

People's emotions change. As his health improved day by day, he indulged in swordplay, hunting, drinking, women, and sensual pleasures. The filial piety he had felt so deeply moved by at his sickbed became insignificant again. So, Count Fernandin found an excuse to send his youngest son to Windbreak City.

After a short rest, Count Fernandez got out of bed, opened the wine cabinet next to him, poured himself a glass of wine, and reminisced about the pleasant day he had spent there.

He went hunting in the morning, and at noon he passed by a family holding a wedding. He saw that the bride was pretty and took the opportunity to collect a virginity tax. In the evening, when he brought his lover over, he was surprised to find that the girl's daughter had grown up at some point, so he simply brought her back to the castle.

"She's a good girl."

Fernandi has decided to take the girl with him when he returns to the city.

"It's about time we went back."

The things his sons did during his illness required some people to be held accountable. Because of their mess, the entire western region was in a state of panic, and both public security and the economy declined sharply.

"That's fine too."

If ordinary people live too comfortably, they won't work hard. And the girls in the brothels of Windfall City haven't been replaced in a long time. Let's take this opportunity to ignite a controlled massacre and give the Western Regions a change of pace in all aspects.

Count Fernandi pondered to himself.

"Ding ding ding"

Just then, a crisp musical note rang out, and the floor-to-ceiling curtains on the terrace were lifted by the wind.

The count instinctively turned his head to look in that direction, but was taken aback.

Suddenly, a figure appeared on the terrace.
