Inside the Great Xia Command Center at Kona Satellite Base.

"Of the three spatial wormholes, one has been destroyed, and the other two have been solidified and have already been demolished."

The information soldier projected the underground profile of the third planet onto the main screen; three dark red dots were located about two thousand meters below the surface.

One of them has been extinguished, while the other two are surrounded by large areas of collapsed rock.

After both the Great Xia and the Kona civilizations detected spatial fluctuations, they each dispatched specialized drilling robots.

Before the first wormhole could solidify, both sides sent nuclear bombs into the target area, shattering the surrounding rock layers.

The unstable space passage was impacted and collapsed on the spot.

The other two wormholes had completely solidified, and even when explosives were detonated nearby, there was no significant change in spatial fluctuations.

The Great Xia had no choice but to resort to a second-best solution: continuously blasting down the rock strata near the wormhole exit to trap the demons underground.

"Currently, the collapse radii in both sealed-off areas exceed three kilometers."

The information officer retrieved real-time data.

"The Kona civilization deployed twelve sets of vibration sensors on two outer perimeters, and we also left behind sixty first-generation burrowing robots."

"As soon as the demons begin clearing the passage, both sides will be able to detect it immediately."

Zheng Jinren stared at the cross-sectional diagram for a moment.

The third planet has fallen under the joint control of the Great Xia and Kona civilizations, but this planet is much larger than the Blue Star, and there are still some areas where large numbers of demons remain.

A complete eradication would take at least six months.

"Block it for now." Zheng Jinren did not order a full-scale attack.

"The Demon Race can't open spatial wormholes without a price. I want to see whether their spatial wormholes are more expensive, or our burrowing robots and nuclear bombs!"

Now, both Earth and Terra are also being invaded.

The other side clearly wants to put pressure on three worlds at the same time, forcing Great Xia to disperse its forces.

Zheng Jinren, however, refused to grant their wishes.

The two wormholes on the third planet have been sealed, making it impossible to send large armies to the surface in the short term.

Instead of mobilizing our main forces to fight deep underground, it would be better to first eliminate the existing demons and then concentrate our efforts on dealing with these two troublesome groups once the war between Earth and Terra has stabilized.

"Maintain surveillance, do not approach proactively."

Zheng Jinren looked at the staff group.

"The underground area should be sealed off. If the demons are found to have dug tunnels, immediately carry out targeted demolition."

"Every time they dig, we blow it up."

"clear!"

The order had just been given when the side alarm lights suddenly came on.

An information soldier quickly turned around.

"Report: Spatial fluctuations have re-emerged beneath the third planet!"

Zheng Jinren raised his head.

The planetary model on the main screen spun rapidly, and a new red dot appeared more than 2,700 kilometers away from the Great Xia base on the third planet.

"Again?"

"Notify nearby troops to first pinpoint the exact location of the spatial fluctuation."

"If it appears on the surface, destroy it directly; if it appears underground, seal it off using the original method."

The demons' attempt to invade using such methods greatly underestimates the power deployed by the two civilizations on the third planet.

The information officer stared at the data that had just been transmitted, his expression gradually becoming serious.

"Report: Preliminary detection results indicate that the spatial fluctuations are located at extremely deep underground, exceeding the normal range of existing detection equipment."

Zheng Jinren frowned.

"How deep is 'extremely deep'?"

"It cannot be determined at the moment. The preliminary result is below eight kilometers, and the error may exceed 20 percent."

Information officers quickly retrieved information from nearby units.

"Three nearby drones carrying space fluctuation detectors have departed and are expected to arrive over the target in forty minutes."

As time slowly passed, the underground model of the target area gradually became clear, but the red area representing spatial fluctuations continued to sink.

Two hours later, the results came out.

The information soldier looked at the final result and said in a trembling voice:

"Report: Target depth 10,372 meters, error not exceeding 120 meters."

Upon hearing this, everyone in the command center widened their eyes.

Zheng Jinren's pupils contracted.

"Ten kilometers? That deep?"

"Yes."

The staff officer immediately retrieved the geological data of the third planet and magnified the temperature and pressure model of the target area.

"The gravity of the third planet is 3.7 times that of Earth, and the rock density in the target area is very high."

"According to the geological model provided by the Kona civilization, the temperature at a depth of 10 kilometers underground is close to 300 degrees Celsius, and the pressure is about 10,000 standard atmospheres."

Humans cannot survive in this environment.

Ordinary mechanical equipment also cannot last long.

But given the demons' almost abnormal ability to adapt to their environment and their physical strength, a temperature of 300 degrees Celsius is really nothing.

As long as a few special units survive, they can continue to expand.

Another staff officer said in a deep voice:

"The Demon Race does not need large caverns to open wormholes."

"As long as there is one not-completely-closed fissure in the rock strata, that's enough."

"Once the burrowing dragon arrives, it can devour the surrounding rocks and gradually expand the space."

The third planet is enormous and has complex geological activity.

While natural caves may not exist 10 kilometers underground, fault fissures several meters or even tens of meters wide are not uncommon.

For the demons, that was enough.

Zheng Jinren immediately asked:

"Can our drilling robots reach this depth?"

The staff officer shook his head.

"The current first and second generation drilling robots have a maximum operating depth of less than five kilometers."

"If we continue downwards, the density and pressure of the rock layers are too great, and we simply can't drill down."

He displayed the simulation results on the screen.

"The most troublesome thing is heat dissipation."

"The underground temperature is close to 300 degrees Celsius. The heat generated by the engine cannot be dissipated in time. The equipment will overheat and shut down before it can drill 6 kilometers. Forcing it to advance will only cause the energy compartment and the power system to be destroyed together."

The current equipment has a limit of five kilometers.

The demons, however, opened the wormhole ten kilometers deep, separated by another five kilometers of rock layers, rendering all of the Great Xia's drilling methods useless.

Zheng Jinren's face darkened; this unexpected situation was something he did not want to see.

In the past, the deepest underground activities of the demon race that we encountered were no more than three thousand meters deep.

That's why Daxia set five kilometers as the maximum operating depth when developing its drilling robot.

Of course, it's also very difficult to delve deeper.

It now seems that it wasn't that the demons could only reach 3,000 meters, but rather that they didn't need to burrow that deep before.

This time, the Demon Clan taught the Great Xia a lesson.

"Is there any other way we can do this?"
