Chapter 554 An Encounter with a Dragon
Savi was sitting cross-legged on the deck, organizing his training notes. Each page contained information about the Amazon Lily trainees.
Their strengths, weaknesses, and growth trends were meticulously recorded.
Savi didn't even look up when he heard Tezzolo's complaints.
"Tezzolo. I'm too embarrassed to call you out."
"Are you trying to be the head instructor? You're trying to stand above us and command us."
Charon nodded silently.
Kazami was even more direct, not even opening his eyes.
"agree!"
"You heartless bunch."
Tezzolo tucked the jewel into his pocket and pointed at Savi's nose.
"If it weren't for me, where would the electricity in your gravity chamber come from?"
"I am grateful for your use of lightning to keep the gravity chamber running."
Savi finally raised his head, a wicked smile playing on his lips.
"But even without you generating electricity for the gravity chamber, we still have our boss!"
"If the boss gets involved, gravity training will be much easier!"
"In other words, it has nothing to do with whether you can guide training."
Your training methods—starting with having people take lightning strikes with their bodies—are you training new recruits or training punching bags?
"That's to ignite their willpower!" Tezzolo declared confidently.
"Your understanding of willpower is just as absurd as your understanding of electricity bills," Kazami added, delivering another rare blow.
The cabin was filled with laughter.
Van Augur sat on the ship's railing, wiping his gun, and a rare smile appeared on his lips.
Roy leaned against the mast, toying with another serpentine gem in his hand, watching the noisy group of people with a slight smile on his lips.
His crew had sweated a lot on Amazon Lily over the past three months, and Savi still had bruises on his arms from Charon's training sessions.
Kazami's scabbard bore several scratches from the wooden swords of the Amazon Lily warriors.
To train archers with no prior experience, Van Auger emptied four whole training rounds of his sniper rifle.
Ultimately, getting these guys, who can do whatever they want in the new world, to willingly become instructors for three months is no easy feat.
This reminded him of when he was training these guys on Beehive Island three years ago.
Just as the group was arguing, Roy's Observation Haki suddenly twitched slightly.
The noise wasn't nearby; it was from the side of the calm zone, at the edge of a sea king's nest.
A ship was sailing towards the East China Sea. The ship's sails were dark green, and embroidered on them was a pattern he recognized—a sword entwined with thorns.
"Tezzolo," Roy said.
The laughter in the cabin stopped. Tesoro, his body crackling with lightning, stood up: "What's wrong, boss?"
"Go take a look at that ship down there."
Roy tilted his chin downwards toward the sea.
"The flag on that sailboat belongs to the revolutionary army."
Tezzolo walked to the side of the ship and looked down.
Sure enough, there was a ship on the sea. It was a black wooden structure with no ferocious beasts carved on its prow, and its design was simple.
But there were several people standing on the deck, one of whom was unusually tall—wearing a dark green cloak, his face obscured.
"Revolutionary Army?"
Tesoro paused for a moment, somewhat surprised.
"What are the revolutionary army doing in this windless zone?"
"Let's go take a look."
Roy put away the snake-shaped gem, dusted off non-existent dust from his clothes, and a smile spread from the corners of his mouth to the depths of his eyes.
"It's time to say hello to old friends."
"Tezzolo, tell everyone to get ready, we're going down to meet them."
The Ark Proverb descended slowly, passing through the clouds, and approached the revolutionary army's sailboat.
As the distance closed to a few hundred meters, the faces of the people on the deck gradually became clearer.
The man standing at the bow of the ship wore a dark green cloak and had dark red diamond patterns tattooed on his face.
A pair of deep purple eyes were looking up at the golden spaceship descending from the sky—
A slight smile curved his lips, as if he had anticipated this chance encounter.
Monkey D. Dragon.
Revolutionary army leader.
Roy stood on the railing of the Ark of Proverbs, looking down at the familiar figure below, his smile growing wider.
The Ark Proverb slowly descended onto the sea, splashing up a ring of white waves as its hull touched the water.
The revolutionary army's sailboat was anchored a few hundred meters away, its dark green thorn banner fluttering gently in the sea breeze.
Three people were standing on the deck—Dragon, Ivankov, and Raven.
Roy jumped off the side of the Ark of Proverbs, stepping on the air as he walked towards the Revolutionary Army's sailboat, his figure leaving a straight trail in mid-air.
Tesoro transformed into a bolt of lightning and followed closely behind, while Savi, Charon, Kazami, and Van Augur followed directly using Moonwalk, their movements so synchronized as if they had rehearsed.
The dragon was already standing at the edge of the deck, waiting, its dark green cloak fluttering in the sea breeze.
The guy behind him with the huge afro couldn't stay still for a moment. Before Roy even landed, he started jumping around on the spot, his exaggerated smile as if he had seen a long-lost relative.
"Roy boy! Long time no see!"
"Your Beehive Island is quite something now, stealing the World Government's celestial treasure without batting an eye!"
Ivankov stood with his hands on his hips, his face contorted with laughter as the paint on his face creased.
Roy landed very lightly, his boots barely making a sound on the wooden deck.
"Ivan, it's been a long time."
"When are you going to visit Beehive Island? Bear and Ginny have been talking about you for ages!"
"Hello! Really!?"
"Of course!"
The raven stood behind the dragon and nodded slightly to Roy.
Roy nodded at him without saying anything more—Raven had always been a man of few words in the Revolutionary Army; the closer you were to him, the less he would say.
Dragon didn't exchange pleasantries, he simply extended his hand. Roy shook it.
The two shook hands firmly, but at the same moment they both released their grip and then smiled.
"It's been years, hasn't it, Roy!"
Long spoke first; his voice wasn't hoarse, but it had a rough quality, as if it had been soaked in the sea breeze for a long time.
"The last time we met was in Loguetown."
Roy released his grip and patted the dragon on the shoulder with a smile.
"Your revolutionary army has caused quite a stir these past few years."
"Judging from how large you've built the revolutionary army, I know you've put in a lot of effort."
"I have to thank you for this."
Dragon looked Roy up and down.
"If it weren't for the support from your Beehive Island, the Revolutionary Army wouldn't have been able to develop so smoothly."
"Hey!" Roy waved his hand.
"That's nothing, aren't we allies?!"
"certainly!"
Just as the two were exchanging compliments,
Savi, Tesoro, Kazami, and the others had already become quite familiar with the Revolutionary Army's crew.
Charon stood silently at the ship's railing, gazing at the sea, while Van Augur habitually walked to the top of the mast.
He aimed his sniper rifle at the distance and uttered two words:
"quiet."
"Come on. Let's talk inside the cabin." Long stepped aside to make way.
