Chapter 222 Stranded on a Desert Island

Suddenly, Jing Chen heard a commotion outside. He frowned and took Icarus to see what was going on. He saw Tomoki being held captive in the center of the courtyard by a group of bodyguards from Mikako's house, who were wielding samurai swords.

I learned the reason for the incident from Chu Yuan. It turned out that after finishing his meal, Zhi Shu was going to take a bath, but he was not familiar with Mikako's house and accidentally entered the bathhouse called "Gokmon Bath," which was only open to members of the clan.

Coincidentally, Mikako was also taking a bath there. But that's not the most important thing. The most important thing is that this "Prison Gate Bath" has a very impressive background.

According to Mikako's explanation, "Gokmon Bath" was originally the place where the ancestor of the Satsuki-dane family, the Heavenly Maiden, washed her feather robes. However, after the Heavenly Maiden departed, the bathhouse was once open to guests. But this was met with divine retribution: earthquakes, famines, and tornadoes. Legend has it that the disasters could only be quelled by cutting off the heads of the guests.

Mikako's father walked towards Tomoki, saying, "From now on, our clan will worship it under the name 'Ghost Gate Soup,' all to protect Sorabi Town."

Hearing this, Jing Chen couldn't help but laugh out loud. Everyone looked at Jing Chen in confusion, while Jing Chen clutched his stomach; this rumor was truly hilarious.

Having completed nine years of compulsory education, plus three years of a good high school education, Jing Chen didn't believe in ghosts or gods at all. Although he had heard a lot about ghosts and gods in his original world, he only treated those legends as lighthearted entertainment. Even now, despite being able to travel to any world, Jing Chen still didn't believe in them.

You see, all the worlds he's traversing to now existed in his original world. In his view, ghosts and gods are nothing more than man-made creations.

Hearing these things again now, Jing Chen still didn't believe it. Besides, even if they existed, so what? Now that Jing Chen possessed god-level strength, would he possibly take those so-called ghosts and gods seriously?

Thinking about this, Jing Chen knew that he was being too arrogant. However, in his opinion, no matter how powerful the Japanese demons and gods were, could they possibly defeat him, a creator god?

"What are you laughing at?" Mikako's father asked.

Jing Chen stopped laughing and said to Mei Xiangzi's father, "Ghosts and gods? A celestial maiden? Disaster? Blasphemy? Hahaha, don't make me laugh!"

"What's so funny!" the bodyguards around him roared.

Jing Chen said, "What's so funny? You'd kill someone just because of some legend, whether it's true or not? The only reason you believe in those so-called ghosts and gods is your incompetence! When people are incompetent, they always find excuses to cover it up!"

"Jingchen, what are you saying?" Chu Yuan asked Jingchen.

Shouxing adjusted his glasses but remained silent. Meixiangzi's father squinted at Jingchen and said, "Your name is Jingchen, right? You say we're incompetent, so what can you do?"

Jing Chen sneered and said, "There's a lot I can do, but I won't make excuses for my incompetence in what I can do!"

"for example?"

"For example, that sounds too unrealistic. Let's be practical: whoever messes with me, no matter who they are, I'll wipe them out! To put it more bluntly, I won't offend others unless they offend me, and if they do, I will retaliate!"

Everyone fell silent. Zhi Shu stared blankly at Jing Chen, completely bewildered as to why Jing Chen would provoke him at this crucial moment.

When Jing Chen reached into his pocket and then took his hand out, everyone was shocked to discover that he was holding a gun.

That's right, this is Jing Chen's Starry Sky. Taking it out, Jing Chen twirled it in his palm, looking at Mei Xiangzi's father, and said, "What era is this? Still playing with knives?"

Zhishu, Chuyuan, Shouxing, and Mikako were all astonished by Jingchen's gun. How could a high school student have a gun?

"If you insist on killing my friend, then... I will have no choice but to... go on a killing spree!" Jing Chen's gaze turned fierce as he finished speaking.

Mikako's father remained silent. Jing Chen said, "Actually, we don't need to make things so awkward. Release my friend; if anything happens, I'll take responsibility!"

"You'll take responsibility? What will you use to take responsibility?" someone asked.

Jing Chen smiled. "I dare to say this because I have my own methods. Besides, my friend only went in; he didn't use that so-called 'prison gate soup.' In short, he didn't violate any of your taboos. For my sake, let's just let this matter go, okay?"

"For Jingchen's sake, let him go." Mikako's father waved his hand, signaling the bodyguards to release Tomoki.

Jing Chen gestured for Zhi Shu to come over quickly, and Zhi Shu ran up behind Jing Chen. After Zhi Shu arrived, Jing Chen put the starry sky back into his pocket and placed it in the spider lily.

"Alright, it's getting late, you should all go back and get some rest." After saying that, Mikako's father left with his group of bodyguards.

"Jingchen, you..." Zhishu said, looking at Jingchen.

Jing Chen smiled at Zhi Shu and said, "It's okay, don't worry."

After saying that, Jing Chen led Icarus away first. The remaining four exchanged glances, all of them puzzled.

There are many reasons for this confusion, but none of the four of them could find the answer in each other's eyes.

Jing Chen returned to his room, took out the Starry Sky Sword again, and examined it. He felt that having to retrieve it from the Spider Lily every time he needed to use it was somewhat inconvenient. After thinking for a moment, he opened the system panel and attached the Xuanyuan Sword's Myriad Transformations skill to the Starry Sky Sword.

Unlike Xuan-Yuan Sword, which allows for free transformation, Starry Sky's transformation skill only has one form: a bracelet.

The starry sky was transformed into a bracelet, which was worn on Jing Chen's right wrist. The bracelet had a very high-tech look and perfectly reflected the characteristics of the starry sky.

After taking a look, Jing Chen nodded in satisfaction. Icarus walked to Jing Chen's side, knelt down beside him, and said, "Master, what was that just now?"

Jing Chen smiled. "That's why I hate weapons. If Zhi Shu hadn't been in danger, I wouldn't even have wanted to take them out."

Icarus remained silent, but Jing Chen said to him, "If you are in danger, I will be there immediately."

Jing Chen patted Icarus's head and then lay down to rest. Icarus held a watermelon in his left hand and touched the spot where Jing Chen had just touched him with his right hand, lost in thought.

When Jing Chen woke up again, his brows suddenly furrowed. As he sat up, he suddenly sensed something was wrong. The ever-sensitive Jing Chen suddenly realized that his feet seemed... not on the ground! He listened carefully to the sounds around him, and then, to his surprise, realized he was actually on an airplane?

"Damn, I was sleeping so soundly, my alertness has dropped." Jing Chen muttered to himself, rubbing his forehead.

"Good morning, everyone." Mikako's voice suddenly came in, and Tomoki, who was still sleeping, suddenly woke up.

Looking around, Jing Chen was already awake, and Icarus was sitting up, stroking a watermelon. Shouxing, however, was still asleep. Still half-asleep, Zhishu greeted him with a "Good morning."

"We're almost there, everyone get up! Welcome to the deserted island." Mikako opened the door and smiled at the people inside.

Upon hearing Mikako's words, Tomoki ran to the door in surprise, opened it, and found only an airplane window! Outside, of course, was just blue sky and white clouds.

"What the hell is going on?!" Tomoki screamed.

The group disembarked on the deserted island, and the plane took off again for its return flight. Zhi Shu looked at the deserted island with a bewildered expression. Jing Chen also shook his head helplessly. Fortunately, he had brought clothes with him in his Blue Rose, so he found a place to put them on before coming out.

Everyone was surprised to see that Jing Chen had brought his own clothes. Zhi Shu asked, "Jing Chen, where did you get these clothes?"

Jing Chen shrugged. "I brought it myself."

After looking around the deserted island, Jing Chen said helplessly, "It seems we'll have to spend the rest of the time here."
