Chapter 385 Rock Serpent?

A dark shadow lashed out at Jing Chen. He grabbed it casually and glanced at it; it turned out to be the bundle of rope in Little Fairy Doctor's hand.

"If you dare to do anything reckless, I'll poison you to death!"

As Little Fairy Doctor's threatening words faded, a sudden rush of energy swept towards Jing Chen, followed by a soft, fragrant body crashing into his arms. Jing Chen didn't think much of it. His words were simply out of fear of being stabbed in the back.

"You!" Little Fairy Doctor glared at Jing Chen. Didn't her words mean that she wasn't worthy of Jing Chen's hands?

"Aren't you leaving yet?" Just as Jing Chen was considering what to do if he encountered danger, Little Fairy Doctor's embarrassed and indignant voice rang in his ears.

Jing Chen chuckled, hugged the person in his arms tighter, and said to the person on the edge of the cliff, "You'd better hold on tight, or I won't be responsible if you fall."

"You!" Little Fairy Doctor was truly furious with Jing Chen, but despite this, she still obediently hugged his waist. Hearing Jing Chen ask about serious matters, Little Fairy Doctor finally came to her senses. The tension from bungee jumping had dissipated somewhat. She glanced around, pondered for a moment, then pointed to a dark spot with her slender finger and said softly, "It should be there..."

Jing Chen glanced at it, nodded slightly, and was already prepared to swing over, not forgetting to remind him, "Hold on tight, don't get thrown off."

Having learned her lesson from the bungee jumping experience, Little Fairy Doctor quickly clung to Jing Chen's waist. All the words she had intended to use to retort vanished. Nodding, Little Fairy Doctor grasped the hand that was around her waist with her free hand.

Preparations were complete; now it was time to strike! Jing Chen leaned forward, and the two of them instantly swung towards the rock serpent. The rock serpent, seeing the two still charging towards it, opened its mouth wide in a silent threat. Yet, even so, the two continued their charge.

Since that was the case, the Rock Serpent didn't intend to be polite with the two of them. It launched itself forward, flying towards Jing Chen and Little Fairy Doctor. Seeing this, Little Fairy Doctor dared not watch any longer and quickly buried her face in Jing Chen's chest. Jing Chen's lips curled into a slight smile. Had they delivered themselves to his doorstep?

A dark shadow materialized behind Jing Chen. It was a figure wearing a tattered cloak and holding a black katana! Fortunately, Little Fairy Doctor had already buried her face in Jing Chen's arms, otherwise this scene would have surely scared her half to death.

The figure wielding the katana raised its head, its blood-red eyes instantly locking onto the rock snake flying towards Jing Chen and Little Fairy Doctor. The katana in its hand was raised high, seemingly about to be gently swung down.

All Little Fairy Doctor could hear was the sound of the wind; there was no other sound. When Jing Chen opened his eyes again, he had one foot flat on the rock wall and looked down at Little Fairy Doctor, who still had her face buried in his arms. Little Fairy Doctor blushed and turned her head to the side. Only then did she realize that the knife she had been holding was long gone.

"Where's the rock snake?" Little Fairy Doctor asked.

Jing Chen gestured with his chin towards the bottom of the cliff. Little Fairy Doctor looked in the direction Jing Chen pointed and saw a burning flame at the bottom of the cliff. Through the firelight, Little Fairy Doctor could vaguely see that the burning flame was the rock snake from before.

"How did you do that?" Little Fairy Doctor asked in surprise.

Jing Chen chuckled softly, not answering Little Fairy Doctor's question, but instead saying to her, "Get ready, we're about to cross over."

After saying that, Jing Chen turned his gaze to the cave that was still covered by strange trees and rubble. With a push of his feet, the two of them swung towards the cave. When the time was right, Jing Chen loosened the rope and landed steadily with Little Fairy Doctor in his arms.

"Finally here..." Jing Chen sighed, released Little Fairy Doctor from his arms, opened his right hand, and a ball of flame ignited as a light source. He then stepped into the cave, adding, "Let's go, let's see what we can find in this place we went through so much trouble to get here. I hope it won't disappoint me."

Looking at the dark interior of the cave, Little Fairy Doctor hesitated for a moment. After a while, she stamped her foot, gritted her teeth, and followed after them.
