Hogwarts: Nagini captured at the start

Chapter 18 Teasing Little Chili

Chapter 18 Teasing Little Chili

"You know what! Before school started, I read my first-year textbook at least three times. I even tried out a few very simple spells in my attic. My intention was just to practice, but I never expected they would actually work! Harry, from now on, we can go to the library together and exchange magical knowledge!"

Robin, tearing off a large piece of toast: Uh, woman, you probably don't know, Harry's enthusiasm for studying isn't much higher than Ron's. And you're talking about exchanging ideas? And spending time in the library?

Sure enough, Harry stammered and secretly winked at his two roommates who were watching the show, asking for help.

Robin finished his toast in a few big bites, grabbed his textbook from the table, stood up, and said, "Excuse me, I don't want to be late for my first class."

"Yes, we can't be late, Ron, let's go!"

"Oh, okay, sure!"

Ron, with a chicken leg in one hand and a book in the other, stood up and was about to leave!

Hermione sensed that the three were unwilling to talk to her, so she reached out to stop the one who had started the conversation. "Do you know Bathilda Bagshot? Do you know what an Animagus is? Have you read Newt Scamander's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them? Have you ever tried to brew a potion on your own?"

She panicked, she panicked, and she started trying to make a name for herself by showing off her skills!

"Miss Granger, I have no obligation to answer your question, but I must remind you that it is a serious violation for freshmen to mix potions without the guidance and permission of a professor."

Seeing the little girl's face turn red with anger, Robin felt a surge of satisfaction and said, "Harry, Ron, let's go!"

"Stop right there, what's your name?"

Last night, Hermione was assigned to her desired house, and she was so excited and happy that she didn't hear what Professor McGonagall was shouting behind her!

Luo Bin raised an eyebrow, feigning shock, and said, "Ah! You don't know my name? Didn't you give me the nickname 'Bad Guy'?"

"It's you, that scoundrel who made up lies to deceive Neville!" Hermione exclaimed in surprise.

"Making up lies? Does that mean the toad Hagrid caught last night wasn't Neville's?"

"It's mine! Look, it has a red spot on the right corner of its mouth. Uncle Algi said he bought this toad because he liked the red spot!"

Neville, holding the toad, looked at Robin with gratitude and admiration.

"You...you guys, humph!"

Hermione puffed out her cheeks in anger, and like a mother duck whose chicks had been bullied, stormed out of the Great Hall.

"She seems angry!"

Harry said after adjusting his glasses.

Hermione Granger, one of the original three little ones, is intelligent, studious, hardworking, stubborn, and brave. In fourth grade, her front tooth was hit by Malfoy and grew wildly. The school doctor, Ms. Pomfrey, tried to remove it.

From then on, the Gryffindor know-it-all completely transformed into a top student goddess.

Hermione is great in every way, except that she loves to show off her knowledge, loves to perform, and loves to control people. She's like a little chili pepper, so spicy it's unbearable.

Robin teased Hermione for two reasons: first, to deflate her arrogance and show her she wasn't someone to be trifled with; second, to poke a chili pepper stem and watch it sway its leaves without releasing any damage—that feeling was fucking incredibly satisfying!

"Harry, a people-pleasing personality is no good. Between making others angry and making myself feel wronged, I will definitely choose the former."

"Exactly, look at the way she looks down on everyone. I think the Sorting Hat must have made a mistake. She should have been sorted into Slytherin, the school that produces dark wizards."

Ron agreed.

"Let's stop talking about this and go, I don't want to be late!"

As soon as Luo Bin spoke, the group clutched their textbooks and hurried upstairs.

According to the schedule, there are two consecutive History of Magic classes on Monday morning. The teacher, Professor Binns, has a very distinctive way of teaching. He lowers his head and reads the contents of the book word by word in a voice that sounds like an old machine stuck in a rut, making people drowsy.

Of course, some people are bold enough to sleep at their desks on the first day of school, like Ron!

Harry tried to wake him up, but Ron woke up for less than 10 seconds before falling back asleep at the table. After repeating this seven or eight times, Harry failed to wake Ron and ended up falling asleep himself instead!

However, there are still some interesting things in the history of magic class, such as Professor Binns's entrance.

When it entered the classroom, it didn't go through the main entrance, but through the blackboard hanging on the wall.

Despite being mentally prepared, Robin was still startled when a gray, mushroom-shaped head popped up on the blackboard like a midnight horror movie.

The girl sitting in the first row, wearing round pearl glasses, was so frightened by Professor Binns that she sobbed for several minutes.

After the History of Magic class ended, the students headed towards the main hall on the first floor. Robin glanced around and saw that about two-thirds of the students had their eyes squinted, mouths wide open, and were yawning repeatedly.

Tsk, these young people, their spirits are so low. Professor Binns is too soft-hearted. If it were Professor McGonagall, she would definitely make them stand in the last row to listen to the lecture.

In the afternoon, during the Transfiguration class!

Tap tap! Tap tap!

Before the lecture officially began, Professor McGonagall paced back and forth in the aisle between the desks with her lips tightly pressed together and a serious expression.

The clattering footsteps, like a resounding drumbeat, sent shivers down the students' spines.

She stepped onto the lectern, her sharp eyes sweeping over everyone in the audience. "Of all the courses Hogwarts offers to first-year students, the most dangerous and complex is Transfiguration. If any of you try to cause trouble or disrupt the class, I will not only deduct points from your house, but I will also expel you and never allow you to attend my classes again!"

"In my class, you must follow my rules; I've warned you before!"

Professor McGonagall stared intently at the students' expressions, then finally pulled out her wand and transformed the lectern into a pink pig.

Hmph! Hmph!

The little pig grunted and ran around the classroom, instantly breaking the serious and quiet atmosphere. Everyone looked at the little pink pig that had run back to the podium with surprised, puzzled, and excited eyes.

Professor McGonagall seemed pleased with everyone's performance. She nodded slightly, waved her wand, and turned the little pink pig back into a desk.

"Transfiguration is magic that transforms one object into another; it can turn inanimate objects into living things, and vice versa!"

"To successfully cast a transformation spell, you need to find the connection points between objects."

"Take the transformation example from earlier. The lectern is made of apple wood, and the fruit that grows from apple wood is on the pet pig's diet. The 'apple' is the connection between the lectern and the pet pig."

"Once you find the connection point, visualize your pet pig in your mind, the more vivid the better. Finally, grip your wand tightly, infuse it with a small amount of magic, and resolutely recite the Transfiguration Charm."

On the podium, Professor Minerva McGonagall, with a serious expression, explained the key points of Transfiguration. Below the podium, the freshmen held quill pens and scribbled down important information in their notebooks.

After explaining the theoretical knowledge, Professor McGonagall gave each student a match and asked them to try turning the match into an iron needle.
