Hogwarts: Nagini captured at the start

Chapter 34 Beater, are you kidding me?

Chapter 34 Beater, are you kidding me?

Squeak! Bang!

After the door closed, Professor McGonagall turned around and stared at the three boys with an inscrutable expression.

Wood was completely bewildered; he still had no idea why the dean wanted to see him.

Harry was very nervous; he was terrified of receiving a letter of expulsion.

Robin was puzzled; the storyline of "Harry being chosen as the Seeker" had nothing to do with him!

"Lesterrange, Potter, this is Oliver Wood, captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team. Wood, I've found you a batter and a seeker."

Robin: (▼he▼メ), Harry is undoubtedly the Seeker, so the Beater can only be... I love watching people play, that's true, but I don't want to get hit by a wandering ball!

"Professor McGonagall, are you serious?" Wood asked excitedly.

Professor McGonagall nodded. "Absolutely true. These two children are both exceptionally gifted. In all my years in this position, I have never seen anything like it. Lestrange, Potter, is this your first time handling a flying broomstick?"

Robin and Harry nodded in perfect unison.

"Lestrange, wielding the broomstick, struck thirteen pebbles in quick succession with precision and force, while Harry sprinted down fifteen meters to catch the marble. Neither of them suffered a single scratch, something even the Weasley brothers couldn't do."

Wood was thrilled after hearing Professor McGonagall's words. He put his arms around Robin and Harry's shoulders, "Do you two know anything about Quidditch?"

Harry shook his head, while Robin said he had read the relevant books.

Wood released his grip and circled the two, sizing them up. "Porter is short, with a flat, broad sternum and a light build; he's a natural Seeker. Lestrange is tall, muscular, and well-proportioned; I wonder how explosive he is?"

"Very strong, his explosive power is very strong!" Professor McGonagall said.

"He'd be perfect as a hitter, Professor. I think it's time for the team to get a couple of new brooms, either the Seven Stars or the Nimbus 2000. Both are great, but the school has a rule that first-year students can't."

"Headmaster Dumbledore isn't one to stick to the rules. I'll go talk to him. Lestrange, Potter, I want to hear from Wood and the team that you two are training hard. Otherwise, I'll change my mind and punish you for the mistakes you just made."

Well, my hopes of joining the team have been dashed.

After Professor McGonagall left, Harry kept asking Wood a bunch of questions, but Wood had to rush back to class, leaving him with the words, "I'll explain this in detail during training next week," before hurrying downstairs.

Evening, in the first-floor auditorium, next to the long dining table!

When Ron heard Harry say that he and Robin were going to join the team, he excitedly bit his lip until it bled, spitting out a mouthful of bloody beef. He exclaimed in shock, "Beater and Seeker! But, didn't they say that first-year students aren't allowed to join? Oh my god, an exception! You two are being added to the team! I bet you two are the youngest players in Hogwarts history!"

"No, not that long. It's been a century," Wood told me. "A century ago, there was a precedent of freshmen being allowed to join the team." Harry explained.

"Robin and I are starting training next week. Captain Wood wants to keep it a secret for now, Ron, so please don't blab!"

"Don't worry, I'm very tight-lipped!"

If Ron doesn't say anything, will others not know?

The answer is, of course, impossible!

Sure enough, Fred and George rushed to the long table, one hugging Harry and the other hugging Robin.

"Well done, Harry, the captain told us everything!" George said in a low voice.

"Robin, you're really something, trying to take my seat less than two weeks after school started!" Fred said sarcastically.

Luo Bin: (¬д¬。) I want to be a batter? This job is dirty and tiring, and you're likely to get hurt. Most importantly, hitting the ball only helps the teammate; it doesn't score points. Also, don't think I didn't hear the schadenfreude in your tone.

"Robin, it seems like you've been feeling really down ever since Professor McGonagall told us to join the team. Why is that? Shouldn't you be excited and thrilled to join the team?" Harry asked, puzzled.

"He'd be happy for no reason!"

Hermione chimed in, chin held high, showing off her knowledge: "In Quidditch, the Seeker's only target is the Golden Snitch. If they catch it, they get 150 points, and their team is practically guaranteed to win. If they don't, it's not the Seeker's fault; after all, the Golden Snitch is notoriously slippery and difficult to catch. The Beaters, on the other hand, are different. Their target is the volatile, easily angered, and erratic Runner. Perhaps one second they've just knocked a Runner away, and the next second, another Runner is eagerly smashing into the back of their head, shattering their skull, turning them into a complete idiot, knocking them off their broomstick, and leaving them partially paralyzed. Right, Lestrange?"

Uh, you can't speak without resorting to personal attacks, can you?

"Oh my god, that's so dangerous! Robin, why didn't you say so sooner? No, no, we have to go find Professor McGonagall and persuade her to withdraw before she speaks with Headmaster Dumbledore."

"Sit down, Harry, sit down!"

Fred and George worked together to weld Harry to the bench.

"Calm down, as far as I know, the walking ball has never made anyone a paralyzed idiot!" Fred said.

"Exactly! The most serious accident in the Quidditch school records was when a batter's jaw was broken. Don't doubt Ms. Pomfrey's medical skills; that guy was back in training the very next day, full of energy!" George chimed in.

Hearing what they said, Harry's worries lessened considerably. He thought Hermione Granger was really annoying. They were all from the same house, how could she curse her classmate to become stupid and paralyzed?

"Why are you looking at me? Once you're on the field, you'll see I'm telling the truth!"

After Hermione finished speaking, she pouted and returned to her seat with a haughty air. Fred and George also left the Great Hall, citing their plan to go on an adventure through the passageway of the sycophantic Gregory statue.

Robin, Harry, and Ron quickly finished their steak and mashed potato feast and were about to return to their dormitory to rest when they bumped into Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle.

"Lesterrange, Potter, when are you two taking the train back to the dirty Muggles' place tonight?"

"Malfoy, use your donkey brain! You, the one who started this, haven't been punished, so why should Robin and I be in trouble?" Harry retorted.

"Malfoy, I've seen through you. Your courage isn't much greater than Ron's Scabbers. If it weren't for those two little lackeys with you, you wouldn't dare to come and provoke me, would you? Of course, Goyle and Crabbe aren't exactly small, but as long as there's a professor in the main seat, even if it's Professor Quirinus Quirrell, they wouldn't dare to act recklessly. They'd just keep a long face and crack their carrot fingers." Robin mocked.
