Hogwarts: Nagini captured at the start

Chapter 39 Quidditch Stadium

Chapter 39 Quidditch Stadium

"Robin Lestrange, are you really unaware, or are you pretending not to know?"

Quirrell suddenly stepped forward, the stench of garlic making Harry take a step back.

"Professor, I'm here because of my academic credits. What about you? What's your reason for wanting to find the crown?"

Quirrell was stumped. He stood there, stunned, unable to come up with a good reason for a moment!

"I did it because of research, yes, that's right, for research. Rumor has it that wearing a crown makes you smarter!"

So you think you're not very smart?

Previously, Robin had performed unremarkably well in Defense Against the Dark Arts class, perhaps because he didn't want to cause trouble, but that didn't mean he was afraid of trouble.

They've come knocking on our door; if we don't show our strength, we'll just be cowards and get bullied.

"I...I..."

Quirrell stood there, stammering, unable to utter a rebuttal. Finally, it was Percy's words, "Please don't block the stairwell," that eased his embarrassment.

After Robin and Harry returned to their dormitory and put their bags away, they took their textbooks to class.

7 p.m., Quidditch pitch!

The general layout of the stadium is somewhat similar to that of the university gymnasium in the previous era.

The course is very spacious, with three 15-meter-high, straight gold poles at each end, and an iron ring welded to the top of each pole.

The stands are tiered, with about a hundred chairs on each level. The steps are high and wide, so no matter how tall or short, fat or thin, as long as you sit in a chair, you can see the situation on the field clearly.

Upon arriving at the stadium, Harry was so excited that he rode his flying broomstick back and forth between the three iron rings, while Robin looked down and carefully examined the Nimbus 2000 in his hand!

It is made of rosewood, with beautiful lines and a warm touch. The branches at the end are tied very neatly, and the words "Konro 2000" are branded in gold powder on the top of the broom.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?"

Wood asked, carrying a wide, flat wooden crate.

"It's very good, but we'll have to ride it for a while to know how well it performs!"

"Calm, composed, and unaffected by external factors, you're a natural-born hitter. You know, most people's reaction when they receive their first flying broomstick is similar to Porter's right now—they wish their butts could stay on the broomstick forever."

After exclaiming in admiration, Wood called out to the sky, "Hey, Potter, come down here! We have lots of interesting things to cover tonight!"

"Okay, sure!"

Harry swooped down and landed stylishly next to Wood.

"Sorry, I'm just too excited. All day long, all I can think about is flying in the sky on my new broomstick!"

"Beautiful flight. I think I understand the dean's intention. You two are both rare talents. Tonight, I will teach you the rules of Quidditch. Then, you will come to the field three times a week for training, just like the other players."

As he spoke, Wood opened the wooden crate, inside which were four balls of different sizes!

He picked up a red ball the size of a soccer ball and explained, "In Quidditch, two teams compete against each other. Each team has one goalie, three Chasers, two Beaters, and one Seeker. This red ball is called the Quaffle; it's the Chasers' target. Teammates pass it around in coordination, and if it goes through the opposing team's hoop, your team scores 10 points. Do you two understand?"

As if possessed by Harry's repeating machine, Robin nodded slightly with a firm look in his eyes.

"I understand," Harry said.

"Alright, I'll continue! During the game, the goalkeeper stands next to the hoop, and their job is to prevent the Quaffle from passing through it. The batter carries a wooden stick and tries to knock the stray ball away before it hits their teammate!"

"A wandering ball?" Harry asked, somewhat bewildered.

"These are the two."

Wood pointed to two black balls, slightly smaller than soccer balls, that were covered in restraint straps.

Buzz! Buzz!

The ball vibrated at a high frequency, trying to break free of its restraints and deliver a blow to someone's head.

"Robin, want to give it a try?"

"Can!"

Robin, as if they were old friends, picked up the wooden stick, stood up and moved back a bit, while Wood untied the strap binding a black ball.

call out!call out!

The black ball shot into the air like a rocket, then made a sharp turn and hurtled towards Robin's chest.

When hitting the ball, power isn't everything; accuracy and angle are.

Luo Bin gripped the bat tightly and swung his arm upwards when the black ball was 0.6 meters away from him.

boom!

The black ball swerved sharply, flew straight up for five or six meters, then whistled downwards, swirling above the heads of the group.

It only wipes the ends of the hair, but not the scalp. After wiping, it pauses in mid-air for a second before rushing to the next target.

Luo Bin: (One_One), I seriously suspect that this black guy is provoking me!

"Come back, come back here!"

Wood opened the box wide, luring the ball towards him.

call out!call out!

The ball flew right to him. Wood jumped up, caught the ball, and then leaned forward and fell onto the grass, using his own weight to suppress the black ball's agitation.

However, the black ball, for some unknown reason, spun faster and faster like a slippery tire. When it spun a hole in the lawn, it escaped Wood's grasp and darted around in the air.

The black ball darted to the other players who were sitting in a circle discussing game tactics, eliciting screams and exclamations.

"Arya, watch out!"

Angelina pulled hard on Aria's arm, helping her dodge the black ball's attack.

"What did Captain Wood do to it? Oh~" Katie Bell dodged the impact of the black ball by sidestepping, and cursed with a frown: "Damn wandering ball, sooner or later, I will cut you in half like a slug, squeeze out all the magic elements, and put you in a cauldron to boil into dregs."

Practice has shown that there are timing issues with being talkative; otherwise...

The black ball braked suddenly, hovering in mid-air. Then, it spun wildly like a motor, spinning until it was emitting black smoke, before heading straight for Katie Bell's forehead.

She was terrified; her whole body stiffened and she couldn't move.

Just now, Angelina pulled Aria and ran fifty meters away. Now, it's too late to turn back and pull Katie away.

"Get out of the way! Get out of the way!" Angelina shouted.

Katie wanted to dodge, but she couldn't move. When the black ball was 1.5 meters away from her forehead, she felt a wave of heat and smelled a pungent burning smell. When the black ball was 0.5 meters away from her forehead, she resignedly closed her eyes.

She had already anticipated the massive, blackened crater on her forehead, the torn flesh, being carried to the school hospital by her teammates, spending two to three months in bed until her body started to mold, before being allowed to leave the hospital. Then, due to a lack of training, she dragged the team down, leading to...

Bang!

The deafening sound of the impact shattered her illusions, and she felt the heat and the smell of burning rapidly receding.

We're saved!

Katie opened her eyes and saw a handsome young man smiling at her while swinging a baseball bat. It was as if there was a light behind the young man, and the light shone into her heart, making her heart flutter!
