Hogwarts: Nagini captured at the start
Chapter 98 Has your brain been burned out by fire?
Chapter 98 Has your brain been burned out by fire?
Luo Bin saw gray flames engulfing his body, but he felt neither pain nor heat. In an instant, the hazy flames enveloped his body, making him unable to see anything, but he did not stop. The next second, he successfully passed through the fire gate and arrived at the final challenge.
The fire gate is like a castle gate, with a dozen or so stone steps leading up to it.
Robin stood atop the stone steps and looked down. He saw Harry bound by ropes and Quirrell rubbing the surface of the Mirror of Erised while spouting mad words.
"Dumbledore used magic to hide the Philosopher's Stone, and this mirror is the key to finding it. Ugh, he's not as clever as people say. I used a little trick to get a letter from the Ministry of Magic and tricked him away."
"Hmm, I see it. It shines like a jewel. I offer it to my master. My master has been reborn. My master rules the world. My master has bestowed upon me terrifying power. Those who have humiliated me have all died a terrible death."
"Ouch, but where did that damned old man hide the Philosopher's Stone?"
"Uh, I really don't understand. Could it be that he cast a 'Seamless Stretch' spell on the mirror and stuffed the Philosopher's Stone inside? Maybe I should think of a way to break the mirror!"
Quirrell produced an iron hammer and smashed it against the mirror, hitting it more than ten times, but couldn't even make a scratch. He threw down the hammer and cried out in despair, "What function does this broken mirror have? Master, please enlighten me!"
A hoarse roar suddenly rang out from where Quirrell's head was pointing.
"Use him, use that boy by the door!"
Quirrell turned around as instructed and met Robin's gaze.
"Lesterrange, it seems I overestimated you. You've arrived much later than I expected."
"Kirro, you'd better use that tattered rag with two holes to cover your pockmarked face covered in purple centipedes, otherwise I feel like throwing up, ugh~"
Quirrell was furious when he recalled the night he was burned in the Forbidden Forest. He snapped his fingers and summoned several thick steel pipes that spiraled forward.
The rope rushed up the stone steps, wrapping around Robin again and again, and then a powerful pull dragged him to the Mirror of Eris.
Quirrell circled behind him, about to speak, but he snapped first, "You stink! Get away from me! How long has it been since you washed your hair?"
So, does Quiro, whose head is parasitized by a village bully, wash his hair regularly?
The answer is probably only known to Quirrell himself.
"I won't allow you to slander me like that."
Quirrell grabbed Robin's shoulders, forcing him to face the mirror. He gasped for breath, gritting his teeth, "Lestrange, I advise you to take a good look in this mirror and tell me everything you see, especially where the Philosopher's Stone is hidden. If you don't do as I say, I'll..."
Robin: →_→, look at you, so capable, even threatening people. But you've got the wrong target. Of the three people and the evil object present, only Harry Potter can find the Philosopher's Stone.
The original book mentions that Dumbledore cast a spell on the Mirror of Erised to prevent anyone from stealing the Philosopher's Stone.
Only those who desire the Philosopher's Stone but have no intention of using it for anything can obtain it.
The village bully and Quirrell want to use the Philosopher's Stone to create an elixir of immortality. Robin wants to put it into a square to speed up the evolution of magical creatures. So, the only candidate left is Harry Potter!
"Tell me quickly, what did you see in the mirror?" Quirrell pressed anxiously when Robin remained silent.
"Heh, I might as well tell you what I saw."
"Speak quickly."
Quirrell clutched his collar, his eyes brimming with excitement.
Robin raised an eyebrow and asked, "You really want to hear it?"
"Speak up, or I'll break your arm."
Quirrell gripped Robin's shoulders tightly with both hands and threatened him.
"Okay, I'll tell you."
Luo Bin let out a long sigh, then said in a winding, meandering tone, "I see a black curtain, as black as your heart. A black curtain, yes, a black curtain."
"Anything else?"
Quirrell felt as if he were hanging from a cliff face by a strand of hair; he was so tense that the hairs on his body stood on end.
Robin turned his head, staring at Quirrell with a mixture of shock and pity. "Have you lost your mind too? I already told you, I saw a black curtain covering the entire mirror. When I looked in this mirror, all I saw was blackness. Do you understand what I'm saying?"
Quirrell was provoked by the other man's "caring for the mentally challenged is everyone's responsibility" look. He forcefully pressed Robin's shoulders and the back of his head, forcing him to face the mirror. "Lying? Take another good look in the mirror. If you dare to lie again, I'll...slash your face."
Luo Bin: (╬◣д◢), damn it, how did Quirrell know my weakness is—disfigurement? Wait a minute, something's not right with the mirror. It looks like someone poked a tiny hole in the black curtain, and red light is shooting out of the hole.
Robin bent down and leaned closer to the mirror, trying to figure out whether the "red dot" was dirt on the mirror or a reflection in the mirror.
Suddenly, the red dot grew larger and larger, until it was the size of a walnut. With a whoosh, it shot out of the mirror and hit his forehead. Then, it fell to the ground, bounced forward four or five times, and stopped at the edge of a stone step.
"The Philosopher's Stone!" Three shocked voices rang out simultaneously in the room.
"Hmm, Master, look, it's the Philosopher's Stone. I've finally completed one of your tasks."
Quirrell clutched his collar, tears streaming down his face.
"Robin, hurry up! We can't let Quirrell get the Philosopher's Stone!" Harry, who was tied up, tried his best to hop towards the stone steps.
"Get it, get it quickly."
The hoarse roar rang out again, and Quirrell, with his short legs, quickly overtook Harry and arrived at the stone steps. He bent down and excitedly reached for the crystal-clear ruby-like stone.
When the dark purple fingertip was 0.01 centimeters away from the magic stone, it suddenly vanished into thin air. Then, Quirrell fell heavily onto the stone steps, his nose bleeding profusely.
"Lesterrange, what have you done?"
Before Quirrell could even wipe his nosebleed, he leaned on the stone steps and angrily questioned him.
Luo Bin raised an eyebrow and shook his head, indicating that it was no wonder it was none of his business!
Quirrell wanted to scratch his face, so he let him experience the feeling of hope reaching its peak and then suddenly plummeting to the bottom.
"Tell me, tell me, where did you put it?" Quirrell roared, wiping the blood from his nose.
"Hey, can you be reasonable? I'm tied up and can't cast spells. I'm five or six meters away from the stone steps. In my opinion, you're the one who's selfish, wanting to keep the Philosopher's Stone for yourself, and you even set me and Harry up as witnesses."
"You're lying, you're slandering me."
Quirrell's expression changed drastically after his roar. His voice trembled as he nervously said, "Master, he's lying. I swore a solemn oath to follow you for life. How could I possibly want to keep the Philosopher's Stone for myself?"
