A mage? A spell engineer!

Chapter 388 Finally Learned the Art of Water Creation

Chapter 388 Finally Learned the Art of Water Creation

If the divine realm has a master, it would naturally not allow a mage (an avatar) to invade the domain through a sacrificial ritual. However, the original master is no longer there, and Rorschach is like someone who has stumbled into a desolate empty room, and one that is also drafty!

One side was scorching hot, the other was freezing cold; Luo Xia felt that his fragmented soul was about to be torn apart by these two extreme sensations.

The fiery aspect is the remaining divine fire, burning fiercely in the furnace. A superficial interpretation reveals a cluster of symbols, including "phase change," "movement," "forging," and "purification."

On the other hand, it wasn't an environment altered by any divine power; it was simply that this god's kingdom was already in a dilapidated, open state. Rorschach's divided soul carefully moved to the edge. This divine kingdom was slightly higher than ordinary metamorphic dust, like a lone boat adrift in a shimmering crystal sea, and it was leaking.

Perhaps it is the "forge" that is most symbolic, maintaining its stable existence, while the surrounding land has been corroded and disintegrated, with the open area facing the boundless, cold, and desolate deep space.

Rorschach first examined the area around the massive forge. There were twisted, abandoned machines and scattered silver jars, which he recognized as dwarven drinking vessels. When he picked one up, he discovered its astonishing density, suggesting it was likely mithril. He scrutinized it for a moment, but since he didn't have a storage ring, he tried to use "Etheric Membrane Compression," but it didn't work.

"A broken pot." After confirming that there were no special patterns or divine spells on it, Rorschach tossed it aside and turned to face the Astral Plane.

From the shattered divine realm, the Milky Way still seemed to surge and shift, with points of light slowly flowing around two unseen centers. Rorschach knew that if he ascended to the highest heavens, those two invisible "cores of the stars" would reveal a completely different scene.

As the divine kingdom floated, suddenly, untreated primordial metamorphic dust surged in like a rising tide. Luo Xia cursed under his breath and quickly left the area.

He was released from his spiritual ascension, his body gradually dulled and degenerated, and he fell back into the material world, accompanied by the chaotic flames of the furnace.

Andrei waited in place, each moment agonizing, watching Rorschach plunge into the flames. Suddenly, the flames erupted, and just as Andrei was about to activate the Order Emblem, the rising flames took on a human form. As they rolled, the flames extinguished, and ashes crumbled. Rorschach struggled to his feet.

"Teacher, are you alright?" Andrei noticed that Rorschach's skin had become smoother, seemingly having a glassy or ceramic-like texture.

It could also be an illusion caused by the firelight! Andrei felt there was no need to examine the teacher's skin health any further.

"It's nothing, I'm just stiff all over right now." The clone forcibly moved its legs and feet, and after a tooth-grinding sound, it regained its normal flexibility.

Since the master craftsman's divine kingdom was too broken and leaky, Luo Xia naturally wouldn't choose it. He wasn't a space-manipulating powerhouse, nor was he some kind of patcher; he would never mend and repair the tower spirit's body there. Given the extent of the damage, it had to be scrapped; even the master craftsman himself couldn't save it.

That leaves the spirit god that is suspected to be of the water element.

"What do you mean by 'both ice and fire'?" This time, Luo Xia learned his lesson. Even as a clone, he applied [Elemental Resistance] to himself. Now, he could still feel the cold water mist and snow hitting him, but it could no longer cause him any damage.

We continued climbing in reverse along the bridge, and this time there was still no guardian overseeing the link, but the resistance became stronger the deeper we went.

Splash! Rorschach seemed to plunge headfirst into the water. In the dim water, the exquisite reliefs and megalithic buildings had all fallen silent, replaced by vast expanses of colorful corals, and otherworldly aquatic creatures that Rorschach couldn't describe, leisurely darting about among them.

Is this the seabed? Rorschach saw no stable spatial structure, no starry sky, and no streams of transmutation dust. He felt immense pressure coming from all directions, penetrating every crevice. Compared to real human tissue, the earthen substitute's cracks and other defects healed slowly, and its tissue elasticity was much worse. In addition, the previous scorching had caused it to vitrify and glaze, so Rorschach could hardly tolerate the water pressure now.

He simulated the principle of compressed air, compressed the water beneath him, and used the recoil to launch himself out like a torpedo, moving at high speed.

But after moving for a long time, there was still no sign of water, and the pressure remained extremely high. Rorschach didn't know how long he had been launched like a cannonball; the higher he went, the colder it became, until there was no life left and huge blocks of ice surrounded him.

He looked up at the sky, but there was no sky; it was a thick ice sheet pressing down on the water. Rorschach's clone used the [Melting Ray], and the melting ice was so thick that its end was nowhere in sight.

"How thick is this ice layer!" Rorschach suddenly jolted, using the [Water Creation] spell. Not his self-created elemental conversion technique, but the most common "summoning water." The result? A giant bubble formed smoothly in the endless sea, without the slightest obstruction. It wasn't that he had improved his spell, but rather that Rorschach was undeniably in the water elemental plane at this moment!

Oh no, the radiation just melted the ice cap and caused it to collapse.

When Andrei saw Rorschach again, he stumbled out of the altar, soaking wet and in a sorry state.

Just as Luo Xia was about to give up, someone suddenly appeared, bringing an ordinary glass bead.

"Teacher! Ah, who is the original body and who is the clone?" Andrei saw the second Rorschach appear.

The original Xia arrived at maximum speed. After Rorschach released his clone, Lanster's affairs still awaited his attention. Since he had to do things on both fronts, to avoid interference, the original Xia decided to pause the synesthesia and free himself from the other self to do his own thing.

Once the matters concerning Lanster and the Tower Spirit were settled, the main body of Xia finally had time to communicate with his clone and see how he was doing. And so he finally witnessed his clone commit a terrible act of suicide.

And then...? Intercepting the faith of the Lord of Order? Engaging in magical telecom fraud while simultaneously praying and offering sacrifices to more than a dozen gods (and their aliases)?

Unsure, let me take another look.

Holy crap, was the soul of mechanical materialism or the soul of brute force that separated earlier? It's fine that it died, but it's trying to drag the main body and Andrei into a total annihilation!

So he didn't care about anything else and rushed over in a hurry. However, when he tried to contact his clone on the way, it had already started wandering around in other planes!

In short, Xia, the real body, almost spat out a mouthful of blood: "You clone, according to your abilities, you can't even cast high-level spells. At best, you're only at the level of a mid-level mage, yet you dare to roam around in the God's house!"

However, he still believed in his own ideas, so when the clone failed, Rorschach took out the "Pearl of Balan," which had been sealed away for some time and contained the remnant soul of the God of Deception.

"One last attempt." Rorschach waved his hand, merely using the spiritual energy generated by the ritual to construct a messy altar from the waste material. Anyway, Balan liked change, so the current chaotic altar should work.

Sure enough, when the bead was placed on the altar's spire and infused with magic, it quickly shone with a brilliant red and purple light, accompanied by energetic music. The activated Balan Bead began to create a swirling, ever-changing vortex of divine light, like a gaping maw waiting for those with excessive curiosity to risk their lives.

"When did you become a third wheel?" Rorschach glanced at the vortex, then decisively took the bead and pressed it onto the Order Emblem: "Behave yourself, or you'll be a sacrifice to the God of Order!"

The vortex suddenly changed, no longer like the mouth of a bottomless abyss, but a stable passage.

"Please." The main body gestured for the clone to bravely rush in.

Xia, the clone, hesitated, "Shouldn't we be more cautious? After all, this is a passage opened by the God of Deception."

"So it's you who's going, not me." Luo Xia shoved the clone in hard: "You should have been careful a long time ago, it's too late to say anything now!" Of course, once the main body arrives, he can prepare and cast the [Divine Exile] spell as a backup in case of an accident.
