Dark Wizard: Rise! My undead army!

Chapter 240 Demon Undead

After dealing with Morpheus, Lynn finally felt relieved and continued his journey into the depths of the rotten abyss, humming "Good Days".

Along the way, the low-level undead they encountered suffered greatly, as none of the undead around them could escape under the powerful soul perception.

A massive number of demons were captured and labeled "Heart of Starbound Domination".

Little lemures, beholder demons, bone demons, timid demons, spider demons, bat demons, foul demons...

Although these demonic undead were not strong and some had very low potential, Lynn still accepted them all.

Occasionally, you can also encounter more powerful demon species such as Blood Demon, Terror Demon, Horned Demon, Shadow Demon, Bone Demon, Wind Demon, Thunder Demon, and Ice Demon.

Most of these demons are at the peak of level 3, but very few have broken through to level 4.

It's not that level 4 demons are rare; they're plentiful in the Endless Abyss.

However, the Rotten Abyss is not an endless abyss after all. It is a demiplane under the academy and has existed for many years. The "top-quality babies" have been screened out by others time and time again.

Unless it is a newly promoted "lord" who has not yet been encountered by anyone, or an extremely powerful "lord" who can command a portion of demons.

As for the succubus that Lynn was most looking forward to...

Well, even the first-tier ones are rare, and they've already been snapped up by some old perverts.

Soon, the undead space was filled with all sorts of demons, and the entire undead space was like a small abyss.

As they continued their journey, capturing as they went, the demons they encountered in the depths of the abyss were generally of a higher level.

Lynn did not blindly seek out powerful targets. He walked along a rift valley flowing with dark red lava, his mental energy constantly spreading outwards.

A Lava Demon Hound, perched beside a sulfur spring, entered his senses.

Hmm... Level 4 strength is enough to be a watchdog in the mine.

As his strength improved, so did his perspective; now, level 4 is nothing to him anymore.

Even so, this thing is the absolute "ultimate boss" in the eyes of the apprentices.

The demon hound was as big as an elephant, its body covered in cracked lava shells from which a dazzling orange-red light shone.

They have an extremely keen sense of smell, capable of tracking the scent of any living creature within a hundred miles, and are adept at spewing high-temperature lava balls from their mouths.

Lynn overwhelmed it in a single encounter and immediately branded it with his own label.

Seeing the demon dog wagging its tail and rushing towards him, Lynn reached out and scratched its head, giving it the command to lead the way.

With the help of the "local dog" Demonhound, Lynn's subsequent capture operations went much more smoothly.

The second level 4 is the [Abyss Shadow Demon].

This thing resembles an enlarged bat with a wingspan of over five meters. It can perfectly hide in the shadows, making it difficult for ordinary wizards of the same level to spot it.

When it attacks, it emerges from behind its target, piercing the spine with its barbed tail stinger while injecting hallucinogenic toxins.

Unfortunately, this time it met its match. It was no match for Kayn, who also played with shadows.

A heavy scythe cleaved him out of the shadow space, and then he was marked as a "colleague".

The third level 4 is the [Pain Weaver].

This demon has eight segmented limbs covered in fine scales supporting its bloated body, and its head is a mass of constantly writhing tentacles, each tentacle ending in a venomous eye.

It excels at psychological attacks, weaving extremely realistic illusions of pain, causing its prey to repeatedly experience the most terrifying death scenarios in the illusion until their souls collapse.

When Lynn found it, it was entrenched in a cave littered with corpses, toying with the souls of several level 3 demons with its tentacles.

Lynn personally intervened to suppress and subdue him.

After subduing the three, Lynn obtained more information from them, but his target this time was a Cataclysmic Undead.

He established a soul connection using the [Heart of Starfall Domination] and directly inquired with his mental power: "Where are there anything even stronger?"

The message conveyed by the lava dog was vague.

All it knew was that a powerful [Abyssal Flame Demon] lord resided deeper within, and it had sensed that terrifying aura from afar, but had never dared to approach.

The information about Shadow Fiend is more specific.

Continuing down the rift valley, past three tiers of lava waterfalls, there is a burning forest where the Balrog dwells in the crater at the center of the forest.

This is the only Lord-level undead in the vicinity; it doesn't know about the areas further away.

Without hesitation, Lynn decided to go and make the arrest.

Balrogs are among the higher-class demons, and their fire magic is incredibly powerful.

As he descended the rift, he also collected more than a dozen demonic undead along the way, including [Ember Bats], [Molten Core Spiders], and [Scorched Serpents].

Every time I encounter a level 4, I grab them to ask for directions, and then continue exploring.

They wandered around for three days, asking questions and searching for clues, until they finally arrived at the burning forest.

The air at the edge of the forest was suffocatingly hot, and what flowed on the ground was not stream water, but viscous lava.

In the distance, a dark volcano stands in the middle of the forest, spewing out thick smoke and sparks every fifteen minutes.

Lynn sent Kayn ahead to scout out the location of the Balrog and the surrounding environment.

He then released the "Stone Heart Mist Domain" and disappeared into the mist, slowly approaching.

Kayn transformed into an almost imperceptible shadow, gliding silently along the edge of the crater.

Half an hour later, it returned to Lynn's side and delivered the complete investigation results.

The Balrog is sleeping in the lava pool on the west side of the largest crater, surrounded by hundreds of demons ranging from level 3 to level 4.

Further out on the outskirts of this lava territory, there are countless low-level demons.

Lin En nodded slightly.

He didn't rush to make a move. Although this fire demon was not difficult to deal with, it occupied the crater and could retreat into the depths of the magma at any time.

The volcano here is filled with extremely hot magma, and it's unknown whether there are underground passages, making escape very easy.

Although those demon minions are not a major concern, if they swarm in, it will slow down the encirclement and give the Balrog a chance to escape.

He raised his hand, and three figures were summoned—Morpheus's former crew.

The Bone Eagle has a wingspan of over twenty meters. Its skeleton is gray and it silently takes off, hovering in the clouds above the crater under the cover of thick volcanic ash, ready to swoop down at any moment.

The Black Knight was also a level 5 beginner, covered in heavy black armor, holding a greatsword as wide as a door panel, standing silently beside Lynn, awaiting orders.

The Demon Skeleton was created by Morpheus from the remains of an abyssal demon lord, retaining its ferocious appearance and some of its fighting instincts from its previous life.

Lynn then summoned Megatron, Decepticons, Kayn, and the Earth Dragon Rider, cast a disguise spell on them, and issued commands through a soul link.

"Surround him from all sides, close him to the edge of the Flame Demon's perception, and wait for my signal to attack together and force him out of the volcano."

The four figures silently dispersed and disappeared into the lava fissures and shadows of rocks surrounding the crater.

Lynn himself released the "Stone Heart Mist Domain," a grayish-white mist that spread out from his body, completely concealing his figure within it.

He walked through the fog, ascending the gentle northern slope towards the edge of the crater.
